Nice service and good food! Lived in the Wilson area for 6 years and seen this place all of the time but never went. Finally gave it a shot tonight and was impressed. Full disclosure: after ordering and waiting for our food I was reading the Yelp reviews and was feeling uneasy due to the number of recent negative reviews. We walked in expecting a sandwich shop but the place is arranged and themed more like a Chinese restaurant. We had to walk up to the counter and look at the menu to make sure we were in a place that made subs lol. They do and that's what we ordered. The wife ordered a steak sub with no Aggie sauce and no mayo. The cashier was friendly and welcoming. They made my wife's sandwich just the way she ordered it. I ordered the Italian all the way. Then I got the onion rings and she got the seasoned French Fries. Sandwiches are about the size of a Subway foot long. They're a little light on the meats but they were both toasted perfectly. The onion rings were just as good as the onion rings I get at the state fair. Not burned and overcooked but no raw uncooked onions either. The seasoned French fries were good as well. We dine inside and the food was hot, veggie rice needed more veggies such as mushrooms and more broccoli. The steakhouse sub was okay according to my husband. The onion rings some were burnt and they give you all of it. The only complaint is that there is a charge for drink refill, tea is $1 extra for refill and we dine inside which I thinks helps a business to see customers enjoying the food. May go back and order large tea next time. read more

I visited the Aggie Hot Sibs on 301. The customer service was awesome. The owner was friendly and had a conversation with me until my order was ready. I took out rather than ate in. Ordered some wings and rice for my pregnant wife. The wings had a weird smell to them , but she decided to eat them. A few minutes later, she was throwing up and her stomach was hurting. Before that, she shared some with her friend. She also had to use the bathroom a few minutes after eating the wings. Something was wrong with the food, for sure. When we first walked into the building it had a weird kind of smell. We proceeded to the counter to order, the menu is handwritten mostly. A friend and I both got bacon cheeseburgers the burgers tasted like they were cooked in Grease the buns were hard and falling apart, the tea tasted like it was sour, the fries were the only thing about that that were good about the entire meal. I love this place! I personally have only had the grilled chicken sub all the way, and that is simply because I've become addicted to it. I can't bring myself to try other menu items at this point because I'm hooked. This is the kind of place where you order and pay at the counter first, then find a seat and they'll bring your food to you. They'll also semi-wait your table and make sure you have refills when needed. Took away one star because my husband ordered a turkey sub here, and it came with about 4 very thinly sliced pieces of turkey, similar to what I'd get from a store bought pack of deli meat. Not so good. They have a diverse menu with burgers, hot subs, cold subs, and even some Asian choices. Maybe one day I'll get around to trying them all. Tried this place for the first and last time the customer service was horrible Kelly was too busy on her phone to get the order correct she had a attitude when I told her my cheesesteak was made without cheese and she forgot to put in my order in correctly there was missing items from my order , when I asked to speak with a manager she ignored me and acted as if me as the customer was not worth her doing her job correct . Would not recommend this place to anyone the prices on the menu are not correct and they do not make you aware of the change in prices no where in the restaurant do they have the correct prices for the items . The bread here is perfect...crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, really adds to the sandwich. I like getting the veggie sandwich and add turkey, the regular turkey just doesn't give me enough veggies. Drove by Aggie's Hot Subs and while no review was on Yelp; I decided to try them. Atmosphere - Local, new décor (i.e. everything looks recently purchased), brightly lit, busy Service - Fast casual (i.e. You walk into the restaurant and head to the counter in the front, past the tables and chairs, where two employees stand at the register set to take your order. They then bring it to your table when it is ready), meal served quickly and hot, plenty of tea refills from friendly staff Food - Aggie's had a surprisingly varied menu that included some items you would not expect (e.g. Asian dishes). While these may be good choices, I decided to stay clear of the unusual offerings and stick with what the place has in its name...hot subs! I ordered the Italian Sub, toasted/ hot, which happened to be on special and included a side of fries and a drink. My drink came first, an un-sweet iced tea, followed shortly with the rest of my order. The sub and fries were presented in a basket with wax paper. The meal was nice and piping hot. The sub bread, while commercial in nature, was very tasty. It reminded me of the hoagie/ sub buns I would get up north at a local pizza shop...soft but still substantial. The sub had a delicious combo of provolone cheese, boiled ham, Genoa salami, onions, lettuce, and tomato. The fries were good too as they were perfectly crisp, which made it hard for me to resist eating them all. This combo special came in at $6.94+tip. Way too expensive for what it is. Paid $10 for just cheese sticks and a drink. It was within walking distance of my job, so I tried it a few more times. The bread for the sub was inedible because it was hard as a rock. But Iwill say, the aggie's sauce on the subs was really good, and the service was great as well. I love Aggies. I first ate it when I lived in snow hill. They had one in Lucama, Raleigh, and now Wilson. The service is fast if you call it in ahead of time my favorites are the baked spaghetti, fried rice, and their Italian subs are great. The Aggies in Raleigh has decent sushi also which is a plus. read more

It was my first time ordering . I was introduced to the restaurant by a friend . We ordered a chef salad and a hot Italian sub . When my friend picked up the order and returned home the chef salad was a grilled chicken salad . She called and they gladly fixed the order . I visited aggie's today and was pleasantly surprised ordering french fries with chill. This was my first time trying there chill and in my personal opinion it was AWESOME!! This is literally my favorite place to go to when I am in or near Wilson. I always get the hibachi rice and egg rolls and they are always amazing and fresh. Employees and owners are the nicest people who are always looking out to do their best for you. I'm not usually one for the yum yum sauce but I will always use it when I am here. My husband and I visited Aggie's Hot Subs this week. We ordered 12 Chicken Wings (drums only with chips). We were informed that they no longer served this item with only drums- even though we always paid extra.Our order was quickly changed once we saw some friends eating The House Shrimp and Chicken which looked like a nice size portion. Well, to make a long story short, we paid $ 24. 00 for two orders of the same thing.
