I have never been so mortified in my entire life…read more I had never been to this restaurant: I would have used the drive through, but I didn't know anything about the menu. So I walked in & stood @ the bar, attempting to get a to-go order. There were very few people eating inside & no one @ the drive through, but there were lots of staff. I watched the bartender make a couple of margaritas and my mouth began to water, so I looked at the drink menu. The organic margarita jumped off the page: I had decided. The barkeep gave the 2 huge margaritas to a waitress, then he started pacing back and forth. I was the only person @ the bar, but he would not even look at me. Of all the staff people there, not one stopped to help me or find out if I had been helped. They flat-out ignored me, on purpose. They just were NOT going to wait on me!!?!? So I got up & left. I was absolutely livid. Maybe they don't like women alone at the bar. Maybe they don't like white women at all. Maybe they don't like older ladies. Maybe it was the way I was dressed. I have no clue what their problem was, as nothing was ever said in front of me; but I can tell you that they were definitely prejudiced against me for something. I've never in my entire 62 year lifetime been treated so poorly in any restaurant. I will be posting a review of this incident anywhere I can find to put it. ~and~ I would not eat @ this restaurant if it was the last place on earth to get food!

My husband an I finally tried Danny's Taco's we always see him right outside of the Piggly Wiggly I…read moredidn't have high expectations being that I'm from Los Angeles where you can get large delicious portions of Mexican food for the low I'm talking $5 burritos fatter than a 20oz soda bottle, nice meaty quesadillas and tacos (man I miss L.A) My husband an I ordered esquites ($3 elote in a cup,) carne asada torta ($8,) an a quesadilla with rice ($8) they were a little more expensive than LA prices and you get less meat but flavor wise the meat was seasoned but I would suggest kicking it up a notch the torta sold me because it was a nice size I just wish it was more meat then it would really be worth $8 to me it was worth $5 or $6 but it was tasty same thing with my quesadilla if I'm paying $8 for a quesadilla I want a nice big quesadilla I really think the quesadilla shouldn't be priced at $8 at all but hey if ppl are willing to pay then make that $$$ Danny the corn cup was tasty but I was so confused why it had water in it I've never in all my 20+ years of eating elotes and esquites seen esquites with so much water it was like elote soup it was delicious though.... overall all Danny gets 4 stars from me the corn reminded me of home I'd go back I'm a burrito/quesadilla kinda girl but I can't see my self paying $8 so I'm going to try a few tacos and some raspados

We have tried Rancherita and another( forgot the name, will update). Rancherita is too modern for us. It's expensive and not enough seats. The food was mediocre. Mi Cabaña was really good. The portions were good size and did not disappoint. As Mexicans, we're always looking for some good salsa and aguas. If the salsa is hot and you don't have to ask for it, then you're at the right place. My husband ordered bistec a la Mexicans plate and I ordered Jalisco Especial.

The locations parking is a little tricky to find a spot and to get in and out of when busy. The restaurant was okay, nothing really special. It was large, well lit, and clean. We had a issue where the menu listed one thing and when we told him it was correct - he was going to explain to us how it was based on what he read on the print out in the back...Sir, doesn't matter what it says in the back when your menu clearly says something different that the customer taking to be truth. This means there's a disconnect somewhere in your system that needs correction - that's all. The pricing is fine for what you get. The portions are large.
