I have never been so mortified in my entire life. I had never been to this restaurant: I would have used the drive through, but I didn't know anything about the menu. So I walked in & stood @ the bar, attempting to get a to-go order. There were very few people eating inside & no one @ the drive through, but there were lots of staff. I watched the bartender make a couple of margaritas and my mouth began to water, so I looked at the drink menu. The organic margarita jumped off the page: I had decided. The barkeep gave the 2 huge margaritas to a waitress, then he started pacing back and forth. I was the only person @ the bar, but he would not even look at me. Of all the staff people there, not one stopped to help me or find out if I had been helped. They flat-out ignored me, on purpose. They just were NOT going to wait on me!!?!? So I got up & left. I was absolutely livid. Maybe they don't like women alone at the bar. Maybe they don't like white women at all. Maybe they don't like older ladies. Maybe it was the way I was dressed. I have no clue what their problem was, as nothing was ever said in front of me; but I can tell you that they were definitely prejudiced against me for something. I've never in my entire 62 year lifetime been treated so poorly in any restaurant. I will be posting a review of this incident anywhere I can find to put it. ~and~ I would not eat @ this restaurant if it was the last place on earth to get food! read more

It was soo wonderful!!! It was neat and clean .the servers were so nice and hospital!! The food was outstanding!!! We loved it, bringing more friends!! The prices are great! Great for families! I plan on coming again and again!. Fajitas were really good! read more

HORRIBLE! Do I have to leave a star? Time and time again it sucks... OVER AND OVER AGAIN, but I've learned my lesson this time. We spent $70 ON TAKEOUT! The cheese dip was left out.. nada, nothing! The Carne asada steak tacos were naked & in the wrong shell. I asked for corn shells, but of course we get flour! Then they're turned upside down so you can't even pick them up properly! Why? They're buck naked anyway! Who wants that issue! Beef nachos were DRY AND STALE! UNEDIBLE... PERIOD! The fish tacos were like eating rubber, and EVERYTHING we got was COLD! ICE COLD! WTF? I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW. We work hard for our money and don't want to just boost a business financially that supports a murderer! I'm stepping way back now for Cannon! Just ordered steak tacos, they were all wrong. Asked for corn tortillas, got flour. Ordered FRESH guacamole, got no guacamole. Would have checked bag but they tied it in a double knot in drive thru and when asked they said they did corn. The service here keeps getting worse. This is my last time spending money at this restaurant. So I bought chips and salsa for $35.00 plus a tip. Enjoy!!! read more

My mother and I arrived and was politely greeted. After we were seated our waiter came right away and asked for our drink order politely. When we got our drinks we were ready to order. Our food came out so fast we weren't able to finish our chips and salsa lol. Our food was hot and fresh out the kitchen. Our waiter was very polite and checked on us numerous amount of times. One of my favorite restaurants in Wilson. Been coming here for years. El Tapatio has always offered and delivered a great atmosphere, great food and great service. Always look forward to getting my El Tap fix when I'm in town. FYI: The fajitas and guacamole are money! read more

This is by far the worst authentic mexican restaurant in wilson. The Salsa was frozen, food was not very good and had weird taste. Had to wait 20 minutes to get the check after not even eating most of the food. If you want good mexican food go to any other el tap in wilson. The others are fantastic. This one was a disappointment to say the least. read more

We had a really good lunch here today. I had a regular size combination plate with a steak burrito and a chili rhillino with beans and rice. It was very good. My wife had a veggie quesadilla which she really enjoyed. The chips and salsa before the meal was great also. The staff was friendly and attentive. Everything was clean and in order. We enjoyed our visit. Will definitely go again. read more

Good and fast service. I liked the salsa. The parking lot looked over full , however there was several open tables and no waiting.

BEWARE!! Don't waste your money like we did!! This is the WORST Mexican Resturant around!!! Absolutely NO taste at all!! The beans and rice were ice cold!' And to top It off we had ice tea spilled all over the table and us!! And service is Horrible!! We will NOT be back!!! This is a SORRY excuse for a Resturant!!!!!!!! Taco Bell has better food and service and they are a Fast Food Resturant!! Talked to the so called manager and he did NOTHING. We have gave him our 10% off discount card from the local high school and got our bill-paid and left . All he said was they would be better next time!!! LOL!! Wake up Sir!!! Absolutly horrible service. It was obvious that they were short handed and when I asked the server if they were he replied well i guess we just have to deal with it. Totally unacceptable, i approached the manager with the issues and told him i would pay for my drinks but was leaving before my food arrived and all i got was an OK. Waited over an hour and no food was brought, waiter walked past 8 times and made to attempt to remove empty glasses from the table. Worst service i have ever had and mgt. and employees just didn't care. The one on Raleigh is great i would recommend that but the one on Nash needs a total employee turn over. read more

Absolutely horrible! They use to have good food and service but keep your money and go somewhere else. I ordered the fajita chicken salad and truly got a shell full of mush. Maybe 2-3 pieces of chicken and totally loaded with sour cream - pure slush! I told the waiter it was not eatable - the manager finally showed up after my husband had finished his meal and said "do you want something else". I said no because my husband had already finished his meal. I couldn't believe they still charged us $10 bucks for a shell full of lettuce and sour cream!
