Had reservations on 4/18. The restaurant is very cozy. The bartender was amazing, the hostess was so sweet, and our waiter was great! He gave food recommendations and recommended some cool bars to stop by afterwards. We had the best steak we've had in a long time (much better than Ruth's Chris and others) and the drinks were delicious. Wedge salad was delicious as well and both the lobster bisque AND French Onion soups were spectacular. We will return! read more

The burger I had ordered medium, was not very tasty and the meat was a bit dry. The cheese was bland . The lettuce, tomato and red onion was good. Cheese was sparse and lacking flavor. The bottom of the bun was soaked and the top appeared greasy. The "steak sauce" was present but didn't enhance the flavor of the meat. Service was good, not pushy or forced conversations. French fries were light and tasted like a potato. Just had water to drink. Not a good experience for me and was expecting more. Especially when the word "Chef" can be heard thrown around by the staff. Ford's garage burgers beat the taste off "the Corner" burgers. Atmosphere is trying to justify the high prices and misses. Can't recommend as I wouldn't go back myself. read more

In town for a summer camp. We thought we'd stop by for a healthy option. Really had no idea what time of sandwiches would be on the menu. They had cheesesteaks, regular turkey sandwiches and beef options. We ordered a cheesesteak and The Bear. The cheesesteak was a little bland. It could use more cheese and some sauce. The Bear was so salty. I took off the giardiniera but no luck. It was salty either way. The Bear bland and needs more flavor. Definitely raised the blood pressure with how salty it was. On top of it, the food is super expensive. Everything is a la carte. The ambience is for an older crowd. Given the area, not surprising. This town is boring. read more

Have eaten here a few times and the food and service were great but turned away tonight because I have my dog and their outside tables are not in the system. Five tables outside with no one sitting at them. Why would you have a number of outside tables and not offer outside seating? Fortunately, there were several other restaurants in the vicinity that were happy to accommodate someone with a dog. read more

Great find in downtown Wilson for breakfast this AM. They just celebrated 1 year and are excited to be part of the redevelopment of downtown. A very comfortable space with free wifi, I felt no pressure when I sat and worked over a second cup of coffee. I may come back for lunch. read more

The actual menu is not like the online menu. The food is average at best but extremely expensive. Can't get a decent beer. If you don't want just rare beef or plain fish, go elsewhere. There are other options. read more

Good sandwich! Got the Italian. The cream cheese spread was an interesting take on a classic Italian sub. Wish it had more banana peppers and maybe less of the cream cheese spread but overall pretty tasty. Would return to try more of the menu if I weren't from out of town! read more

You should run, not walk, to The Corner Deli in Wilson. Ive been twice and ordered the same thing both times: a fried bologna sandwich. Everything is artfully made. The quality is fresh fresh fresh. I look forward to many more visits. Try the knish! I think this is a nice eatery for families and couples. Nice atmosphere - the kind of place you know the owners are proud of. The Philly Cheese Steak sent my taste buds soaring. Delish to the nines! Angelo and Taylor Carlone have put a 6-star out of 5-star diner in a cool part of Wilson, North Carolina. The Corner Deli is a bright, cheery, extraordinarily clean and very delicious eatery open from 7AM until 7 PM. All the people are as friendly as you want them to be.
