Our order: the Philly Cheesesteak, the baked beans with belly, and the mini corn dogs.

We arrived it wasn't busy as we got here at about 1 pm. The service started out okay but sorta fell short of acceptable from there on. We stayed we wanted to try two appetizers and split the Philly. When the food arrived the Philly hadn't been cut as we requested and when we requested a knife we were told we had one in our set-up. . The staff never stops to engage and so we had to stop them twice, once to ask for an extra plate for the sandwich we were brought a plate smaller than a butter plate. The baked beans were straight out of a can and had almost no meat in them at all. It was a cup size for $4. The sandwich was cooked and plated well but totally devoid of seasoning. . . Wouldn't have been an issue if there was salt and pepper on the table. The prepackaged mini corn dogs were the highlight of the meal. Would not recommend this place for food. If you wanted to drink for lunch; the bourbon and scotch collection are fairly impressive. . . The service people weren't rude but they have no training in customer service or communication. The ambience is cute as the old building has been effectively repurposed.

Staff was so friendly and welcoming, even though we were the last customers of the evening. Food was delicious, cocktails and beer were awesome. Would definitely come back if we're traveling through the area again.

The loaded tots are AMAZING! Burgers are cooked well with interesting toppings. Brussel sprouts are tasty but the sauce is a little sweet. Fun spot to hear live music and enjoy a great craft cocktail. Then go walk around the whirligig park. Great service by the server but the kitchen can be a little slow.

Great food, service, and atmosphere. I had the brunch grilled cheese with avocado and bacon. The waiter suggested to add an egg to it, so I did. It was the perfect amount of food and it came out in a timely manner.

We decided to stop in for dinner around 6:20 tonight. We were seated immediately. The atmosphere is casual. They do have outdoor dining. We ordered the Classic veggie burger and the Build a Burger. Although the burgers were good my husband and I were both surprised to receive our orders wrong. The burgers come with a lot on them and my husband and I both ordered our burgers with cheese and one condiment. When we received our order both burgers were loaded. I scraped everything off mine but my husband's was sent back because even the cheese was wrong. Our server did a great job of going back to the chef and requesting a new burger my husband. I also ordered the Ginger-Lime Seltzer and that was delicious. We will most likely be back.

An Outstanding establishment. While visiting the area and starving we based our choice on Yelp reviews and stopped for dinner. Immediately we were greeted by the manager who welcome us. The restaurant is very large with an outdoor area that has several tables with umbrellas. The manager took the time to seated on the patio area which we requested at which time he presented & explained the menu, the specials and cocktails. The restaurant shares the space with Erie Brewing Company. Although cocktails are limited there was a number to choose. We started with pumpkin spice beers which were awesome, than delicious barbecue chicken wings but the hamburgers and fries were outstanding. Honestly, if we should return to Lake Erie we would make the drive for another order of burgers and fries. A must.

Ruckus & Redemption is located in Downtown Wilson. It was recommended to us at the Vollis Simpson Whirligig Museum and just a short walk from the museum and park. Although there is a public parking lot next to the restaurant. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating at picnic tables. I liked the rustic decor of the bricks and open ceiling. I went with the build your own burger although I was tempted by the Signature Burgers.I went with swiss cheese and tomatoes for my toppings. The burger was really good. The seasoned fries were too seasoned for my taste so I wouldn't order those again. Service was very friendly and my tea was refilled when my glass was half full so very attentive. They offer a Sunday Brunch so I will be making a return trip for brunch!

Stopped in for lunch and the service was great. I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Offers indoor and outdoor setting which is really nice. I had one of the special burgers, bacon jam slam. The burger was cooked perfect and tasted great. The MVP was the Brussel sprouts. They were amazing!

First time to visit. Not bad at all. We ate lunch and had a beer. Great atmosphere and good service. Will come back for sure.

Great place to have lunch. We had the special of the day. B que chicken sandwich was very good. Atmosphere very nice and the service very good. Will come back for sure when in Wilson, NC.

    Fried Brussel Sprouts.

Out of towners from Maryland visiting Wilson to watch daughter play college softball and found this place for dinner. This is a must go to if you like a great burger! Probably the best burgers we've had in years!!!! The Brussels sprouts were delicious and the salad portion feed 3 of us. Not a big menu but would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! Service was great! Not a big restaurant and a little loud but didn't mind at all because the food was so good.

I was surprised when it came, because I was not expecting a chunk of brisket that thick! The portions are good!!! It's a dark restaurant, not well lit, but I honestly don't mind that kind of vibe. Made it more chill. The service was not the fastest, but it didn't ruin the dinner at all. If I'm ever back in the area, I would come back to this spot.

It is not fancy, but once you try something it is different. This is American Cooking but with a style that is special. See what awaits. When we went in I had worked up at the Rocky Point Markets for furniture both in the spring and the fall of each year. It was always filled with folks from everywhere to shop, and see and buy for the next season. There were plenty of places to have lunch. But when dinner came it was special. The local style of cooking was different. It might have the same meal as you would find in another region, but here it was different as it is based on the cook / chef. Tonight we stopped in and the person helping us was very special. She told us of what was available and what was not. She gave the details and let us order. First we had to have an Arnold Palmer. Naturally, it was different than the person down the block. This was not sweet as usually. It was an equal mike and perfect to have. It gave us something to think about. First up was the Mac & Cheese. But unlike normal Mac & Cheese, with this we ordered shrimp. Not what you expect, this was unique. The Mac & Cheese was a combination of fresh pasta and mixed with four different types of cheese. It was mixed together with a cream and butter. It was not a firm mix but a mix that was moist and tasty with each bit you took. That alone was a meal unto itself. Being mixed with shrimp was different. The shrimp where not small. They were a good size. And there was almost a dozen mixed in. They were not placed onto. Being mixed in they aded to the flavor and taste. There was no spices. Just fresh shrimp with pasta and a cheese mix. A dip of bread helped to take it all in. Next we did have Baby Back Ribs. These were very fresh and tasty. Cooked to the right point hthey literally fell off the bone itself with the touch of a fork. The taste was slightly mixed with honey. Sweet but spicy. Naturally had to have some home made coleslaw with this. Plus an order of sweet potato fries. And these were fresh. Alone with a drink these would have been a good snack to have together. I could have had another plate of these alone. The two dishes were perfect. Yet, we did need to have dessert when the couple at the next table ordered it and shared it. This was Bread Pudding, topped with vanilla ice cream and served with Bourbon sauce. This was heaven itself. You did not need more. There people could have shared this one item. Again, it was freshly made and warm. Ideal. The ice cream was made that morning. And, as for the bourbon, you could have had a glass of this. Spread over the bread pudding it was how we sometime drink an Irish Coffee. Had to have that taste with each bite. Overall, this was a special place to for a meal. It was truly unique for the region and for the chef. The team was a great help. The price was great. As for the people who were there, it was packed. Many came from the places where they are creating the new furniture and items that will be on display for the next market in Rocky Point for next spring. They knew where the place is and what to order. It is truly the right spot for a good meal. It is worth the visit next time I am in town.

For those that follow me on Yelp for brewery reviews, cocktail bar reviews are few and far between. So if I make a point of making a visit, it really is special. They are very friendly and knowledgeable - which is good for me, b/c I ask a lot of questions!
