My review is truly about the food. We ordered via Door Dash - so I can't speak to the service specifically of the restaurant nor the ambiance of the restaurant. With that, the photos aren't the best as the food didn't show up picture perfect. HOWEVER - it didn't take from the TASTE of the food! Oh boy - if you are looking for that southern dish you remember from childhood as a country kiddo - here you go! The only item I wouldn't get again is the black eyed peas - they were bland and we don't do no seasoning! Which was odd because everything was seasoned so well. The fried green tomato sandwich with pimento cheese - big back activated! The flavors melted together with each bite - I'm thinking of getting another one right now. The hamburger steak AND the burger you can tell were freshly prepared with real meat. Seasoned down. So good. The star of the show - the dang on chicken salad. It's not overly sweet, it's real chicken, it's perfect texture - it's all the things needed to enjoy a nice serving of it without having to add something to compensate. We will be back. read more

Went to Bill's Grill today. Had pancakes, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese and a side order of grits. My sister had a veggie omelet with home fries. Everythig was all good. We were well satisfied. As far as the service, it exceeded my expectations. Kelcie was our server and she made sure we were well taken care of...coffee topped off, spotless table, attentive and just all around sweet and accommodating. Give Bill's a try for breakfast. The atmosphere was nice. Very chill and relaxed. The server was nice but a little inattentive. We ordered our food and it took 40 minutes to arrive. The place was not busy and it felt a little ridiculous that it took 40 minutes for a chicken salad sandwich and a burger. The food was not good. The chicken salad sandwich was small and bland. I also found a small bone in it. The potato salad was so bad that I didn't eat more than 3 bites. It tasted like generic potato salad from a grocery store. My husband had the Bill's Grilled Texas Toaster which was dry. The best thing was his fried okra. That was very good. I would not come back. read more

I hate giving crappy reviews. This is someone's business that I imagine poured their life into. This place is so basic. The locals thinks it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, but i disagree. I've eaten there about 5-6 times now, so I gave them a shot. The food is o k. Nothing great, nothing stands out. The wait staff was rude most times we went, which is weird in small city full of really nice people. Bill's is somewhere I'd go if I was already downtown, needed to eat, and there were zero other options. I wouldn't drive any distance to eat there. I'd rather grab a nice pastry and coffee from Treat Yo'Self. Prices are fair. Menu is meat-heavy like most of Wilson. I like the Black Creek location better. The staff was darling. The food was pretty much the same (C+) but they had a hopping to go business and great attitudes. The attitude matters. read more

A firm three stars from my experience this evening. A wet floor leading from back door to bathrooms on to salad bar. Made for slippery and dicey walk back to table. Food was nothing special. Service was fine. Noted cook in kitchen move his hands back and forth over his closely cropped scalp multiple times in the food prep area. We probably will not be back. read more

We were in town for a soccer tournament and ate here. This cute restaurant is located downtown so there is plenty of parking. It's small inside and can fill up quickly. Service was great and the staffed were all friendly. The prices are affordable and the food is decent. Good comforting American food. We had a large party post soccer games. Everyone enjoyed the food. My "Farmhouse burger" was on point. Martins potato bun/ grilled onions are fire! Three young men who had just played soccer enjoyed everything. From rib eye, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fried okra, salad bar, sweet potato fries. One in our party did think the sweet tea was too sweet ( as mentioned in other reviews) and one loved it! We would definitely return. Food here was excellent!! PSA --- I would steer clear if no mask enforcement is something you are not okay with. The wait staff was so friendly and happy to serve us for brunch. The selections were plentiful and the prices are extremely affordable so you can try a little bit of everything. I'm a chicken wing lover and they have their recipe down to a T!! Highly recommend for diners on a budget that appreciate good home cooking! Oh, and per our server they are serving beer and wine now. Was in town for the Whirligig Festival and wanted to step away from the squeeze of the crowd outside. Bill's was busy too, but offered seating at a clean table, a friendly staff, and really good inexpensive food. We both had bacon burgers with fries that were tasty as can be. Like a Yelp reviewer said, be patient, it takes a little time to cook good food! The burger was bigger than I expected and there were lots of fries. You really can't beat it for the price! My husband and I just moved to town and decided to give this place a try for breakfast today. We were not disappointed. I order the same thing at pretty much every breakfast place... Pancakes, sausage, home fries/hash browns, and black coffee. The food was on point! The pancakes were great and the home fries are some of the best I've had. The sausage was good and the coffee was just that good ole diner coffee that I love for some reason. My husband really enjoyed his food as well and was very pleasantly surprised by the generous portioned and well seasoned sausage link he got. The service was also great! The gal who served us was so friendly and attentive. She made us feel really welcomed and made our experience even better.
