This place isn't just a restaurant, it's a tradition. One of the waitresses (Ms. Marie!) has been there for at lea 25 years, and she truly makes the experience special. She's warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. And of course, the food never disappoints. Everything is consistently delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the portions are just right--not too much, not too little. It's the kind of meal you look forward to and leaves you satisfied every time. Mayflower isn't just a place to eat--it's a staple of the community and a must-visit whenever you're in town.

"Salad, no bacon." I now tell them to hold the side of clarified butter because I don't need to eat a couple little tub of melted butter. They give you so much. My go-to is any broiled seafood item, baked potato, side salad no bacon. Their dressings are fantastic (taste like Ken's) and their salads are ample. I've tried their bloomin onion knock-off and we like it better than Outback. I don't order it often; y'all know why by now. I'm fluffy and don't need more fluff. I only order if I haven't weighed myself that day. A Mayflower dinner is always two meals for me. It is a great value. The A#1 best server there (and anywhere in Wilson) is CHANNING. Ask for him; you won't be sorry. He is a kind and attentive server and a southern gentlemen. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It's a great place for large groups or a quiet dinner for 2. This place has a great family feel, quick service, a reliable kitchen, and wonderful staff. That's a 5-star review for me!

I had the catfish sliders for lunch and I gotta say, fried foods tear me up. I suffer for a day or two after eating something fried like that but, I would go back and have these again because they were fantastic. Perfectly cooked, the sliders are good portions, you get three in your lunch and honestly too is plenty so this is definitely something that a couple people could split. Glad to find this place and I will be back.

It was cheaper for us (myself & the cubs) to get the family platter instead of individual meals. Let me tell you something!! It did NOT disappoint!! Food was prepared fresh and very flavorful & plentiful. We decided on the Big Bang with a medium spice level. Our server was very nice and friendly and didn't mind answering a few questions and making sure our food was to our liking. Per usual, the hubby ordered a shrimp and fish platter which was also a nice portion. This is a great restaurant, so much so I have recommended it to several people!

It was like someone took a pail of water and threw it in a pot and added some potatoes and onions. Very little crabmeat. Taste was very bland. Reminded me of dirty dishwater. Fries were good but could have have more Old Bay on them. Corn tasted like it came from the same dishwater as the she crab soup. Hush puppies and sweet tea were the best two things about the entire meal. I believe my check came to $40 including a tip. Never once did someone come to check to see how everything was.
