I see Isaiah back there mixing up delicious cocktails.

My family and I went to celebrate Resurrection Sunday at Cape Fear Seafood Company. It opened August of last year. We ordered several different appetizers starting with a 30 count of steamed peel and shrimp seasoned with Old Bay seasoning. The shrimp were sweet and succulent. I could've aten the entire bowl by myself. We also had sweet and spicy jumbo shrimp which was an explosion of flavors in our mouths. And two orders of calamari and hush puppy's along with crab cakes. All the appetizers were delicious. I had seared blackened sea scallops with roasted fingerling potatoes and grilled asparagus. We also ordered The Boat which was an assortment of fried seafood. The portions were quite large. My mom enjoyed key lime pie for dessert. Our waitress Keegan was awesome and her customer service skills were excellent. The drinks were flowing from the bar. The mixologist Isaiah prepared an assortment of sangarias, house margaritas and strawberry margaritas. They have a nice wine selection and many cocktails to chose from. The ambiance is very nice and all the staff were very friendly. When your in Rocky Mount, NC please stop by Cape Fear Seafood Company and enjoy good food and drinks. To all my Yelpers let's continue to eat our way through the world #foodie4life.

This place was great. The food was tasty and very fresh. Everything we ate we shared amongst each other and it was all amazing. Can't wait to go back to this place and the prices are very reasonable.

Friendly & attentive staff. Great overall experience and then... Now l heard they were know for the cake slices so I had to try!!! There were 8 different homemade cakes in a display case at the front. I got the White Choc Raspberry - man I will definitely be back if for if for nothing else but to swing in town just to grab another slice!! Be Ready for sweet overload!!

When you arrive get your name on the list at the counter and stand around with the other folks waiting for a table and stare at the case of cakes that look so very good. I was there during the prime rib special that is two days a week and seems to be a popular choice from what I could hear. The other patrons were friendly while we waited. I'm not sure how long it took to be seated but when my name was called I was put into a booth. At the other tables and booths I noticed the waitstaff knowing the names of the other patrons so that is always a good sign. My waitress was friendly and gave some recommendations. I ordered a piece of cake to go first thing as I wanted to be sure I got a slice of the pig pickin' with the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Bread and hush puppies were brought out with my beverage. I was even offered more if I chose. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp as I couldn't decide between the two so went with an option on the menu to get both. I also got a baked potato and mac n cheese. The potato was huge. Both the filet and the shrimp were great as was the baked potato. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese as much so when I got full I was ok not finishing or taking that with me. I will be back the next time I am in Greenville, NC.

It just feels stagnant and uninspired. Nothing new, nothing seasonal, nothing exciting. If you've been once, you've basically seen it all. The food itself was bland and boring. Dishes lacked seasoning and creativity, and nothing stood out as memorable. For the prices they charge, you expect at least some depth of flavor, but everything felt flat. Service was also slow, even though it wasn't especially busy. We waited far too long for basic things, and the staff didn't seem particularly attentive or professional. There was a noticeable lack of urgency and overall polish. Overall, it feels like a place that hasn't evolved in years -- same menu, same energy, same issues. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to expectations.

We ended our amazing dinner sharing an incredible white chocolate bread pudding. The place is kitschy & cool, taking full advantage of a busy storefront display. The service was perfect, not too invasive or pushy, just the right amount of southern hospitality and menu knowledge (we got the steak sauce on the side and the amazing dessert as suggested!). We look forward to returning.

Our server Jordan was attentive and flexible as well as friendly, but not overbearing. Our entrées were all absolutely spectacular, particularly the mushroom risotto with the grilled mahi, the peel and eat shrimp, and the crabcakes. We all noted and commented on how perfectly cooked every item was. One teeny concern was the long wait to pay our checks. My party was quite ready to go after a long day at graduation but waited quite a while, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening. One extra nice touch was the little table lamp, which cast a perfect bright light over the table surface, but a very pleasant indirect light everywhere else.

I started with fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They came out & were heavily battered & the tomato was not cooked at all. I ate one & my wife ate one. We sent the rest back. The garnish was fairly tasty. No one came back & asked about them. I ordered the Mahi with mushroom risotto. Mahi was not very flavorful & somewhat dry. The risotto was good with some much needed salt. My wife ordered a twice baked potato & stir fried veggies. The potato was anything but. It reminded me of 2 potato wedges. The veggies were about a handful. The sides were $5 each. All tolled it was almost $60 & YES they charged us for the tomatoes we sent back! IMO they are a 5 star restaurant wnnabe but less than 3 actually.
