Me and my dad were seeking a solid dinner in Washington, NC, and Ribeyes looked promising, so we decided to try it. It was fairly good! The restaurant has a very old southern steakhouse theme to it, with a closed in feel. It is fairly small, but that's alright. The salad bar is ok. It is not a large selection. The lettuce itself was good quality, but the ranch was 100% bottled. Other toppings were just alright, nothing special. My dad got the small portion ribeye, and I got the 6oz filet. The ribeyes all have definite prices, while the filets have "market price" next to them. This can be an easy way to rip people off, because my filet was way too expensive for what it was. $45 for just a standard filet. But despite this price, both of the steaks were pretty good! They both had good flavor, and were cooked at a nice medium rare. For sides, they only serve sweet potato, baked potato, or a twice baked potato. My dad's twice baked was good he said, and my potato was good as well. It didn't have an earthy flavor like some do, which I liked. They also serve a slice of toast, which was good, but needs butter :). If you want a good steak in Washington with attentive and friendly service, come to Ribeyes. Just beware of the filet prices. read more

We've eaten here for dinner quite a few times and it was good. But we went there for lunch today and I couldn't even eat it. I had the Angus burger and not only was it not Angus, it had a mush texture and tasted nothing like hamburger. The bun was thick, sweet and gross. They also don't even have french fries??? Options were a baked potato, sweet potato, twice baked or broccoli. Apparently they got rid of their deep fryer. One of the burgers at our table was supposed to be Med-Rare and one Med - they were WELL DONE. Broccoli appeared to be oven burnt, overcooked with shredded cheese. They claim they "revamped" their lunch menu in February, but it definitely wasn't for the better. Server was very nice and polite, responsive and asked if I wanted to speak to the manager, perhaps I should have, but I didn't want to. The very low volume in their restaurant on a nice Saturday afternoon, water front...should have been the first clue. Very disappointed in whatever change they made, I can get a better quality burger at Cook Out (fast food). Way overpriced for the quality of food. My son and I ate here for the first time last Saturday during the Smoke on the Water event. We walked in and were seated right away! We sat in the bar area and our server was a younger guy who was tending bar( sorry I don't remember his name) but he was great! My son and I started off with the ahi tuna app and it didn't disappoint! My son had an angus burger which he loved and I had the ribeye steak sandwich! Food was delicious! Our server who was tending had as well won me over because he made my favorite shot, which was a green tea shot, and my favorite drink, an Irish mule, perfectly!! Delicious dinner here! Our server Luke was the best! Service was fast and so friendly. We ordered yum yum shrimp, ribeyes and salmon. Food was correct, delicious and cooked to perfection. Wow! I had heard great things about this place, and they do not disappoint! Me and my bf went here for the first time on our first anniversary and we were obsessed. They have the best salad bar, the best steak, the best everything tbh! The ambience is also perfect, moody and cozy but also classy at the same time. We ate every bit of our food, and stuffed ourselves with the endless salad bar. Our waitress was friendly, the only thing is that she didn't explain how the salad bar works, so we were confused at first but we asked and got everything figured out! This restaurant made our anniversary one that we will never forget! We are going to make a tradition of coming here for every anniversary! Being right on the waterfront is also a perk! read more

Do you ever go to a bad restaurant and say... they can't be bad... all they do is THIS type of food. That's Ribeyes. Literally steak and a specific type of steak is in their name... yet that steak isn't good. Four of us went there for dinner, with three of us getting various sizes and cooked ribeyes. None of us thought our steak was good. So, 0 for 3 with steak satisfaction for the type of steak in the name of the steak house. The person who got chicken talked about how great the chicken was. Oddly, chicken isn't in the name. The place is clean, and having recently been in Texas, the decor reminded me of how Texas steakhouses do their establishments. Did I mention the steak sucked? We were in the angus room, a bar area in the front and the walk up was odd through a common hallway, but that likely had zero effect for why the steak wasn't good. We got great service from our server. She brought the requested steak sauce that, had our steak been better, we wouldn't have needed. Refills came before they were needed and she always kept an eye on us. I genuinely wish I caught her name as she did a great job and even took a great pic of our table. Walking around the marina, the smell from their grill drew us in. We enjoyed a nice lunch on their porch with the view of the marina. My wife thought her hamburger was one of the best she's had. I had the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer as my entree which was not only delicious, but ample for my appetite. Service was friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Great waterfront atmosphere! I highly recommend the back porch for seating if weather permits. The food was good and timely to the table. Our server was friendly and accommodating even after we realized we were the last patrons of the night. Accidentally, we learned that nearly all kitchens in Washington close at 9pm during the week. As for the namesake 12 oz ribeye steak, it was perfectly cooked and tasty. Keep in mind, Ribeyes is a chain, and I would compare the meat quality to Texas Roadhouse or the Longhorn. The shrimp skewers were excellent. My wife had the salmon which was cooked expertly, but she wished for more seasoning. The salad bar was a hit for both of us, mainly because they are very rare these days. It was well laid out with easy access. Price-wise, we found Ribeyes to be reasonable. For a steak dinner in Washington, I'd call Ribeyes a winner of a choice. Add in the waterfront and staff, and you will have a 4-5 star experience. read more

I went to the bar tonight while waiting for the Crab drop, expecting to get a glass and be out. I walked in with my 17-year-old son, as the hostess said 2 seats had just opened up in the bar. However, when we walked over, the woman tending the bar, who is named Sherri, told us the bar seats were for paying customers, and my son wasn't allowed to sit in the seat next to me. So, the entire time we were there, he had to stand next to me. Sherri then proceeded to not take my order, instead deciding to chat with another customer beside me, while appearing to not be doing anything else. Luckily, a man came over and took my order. Then, once I was finished with my drink, I held my card out, waiting for Sherri to come over and pay my tab. She decided to chat with the same man, while standing, doing nothing, right beside me. Luckily, the same man from before came over and paid for me. Everything was great, except for this terrible customer service from Sherri. Told to pick a spot on the deck and all the tables were dirty, told host to clean one and he came out with whast must've been a wetted napkin and half wiped one. Server came out and handed me the filthiest greasy menu I've ever seen. I've asked her if she really expects people to eat anything ordered off of it, she gave blank stare and asked me what I wanted to drink, which continued as I got up and left to eat somewhere else. Absolutely delicious. I have been twice now! I have had ribeye steaks both times. The first was fine but the second time, the ribeye was little fatty for my taste, so next time I go back I'm going to go for a nicer cut. The salad bar is so fresh and delicious and I get that every time I go. The waiters both times have been spot on and even suggested better deals (shared meals). DK was our waiter and this guy hustled. He greeted us warmly, knew his menu and did the best he could with 8/9 tables for dinner. We had two appetizers the Steak Kabob and it was the star of the night. We also ordered the grilled shrimp skewers and they were under cooked and unseasoned. Three couples went to the Washington NC Ribeyes for dinner. We were sat in the bar area in front of the bar door. It was a cold night (30F) and the door was opened constantly by patrons and staff. We raised the issue with the host station and our server. Neither seemed to care and took no action to correct the situation. Our meals were instantly cold from the cold air and we had to keep our jackets on. Steaks were over seasoned and my Pittsburgh style filet was did was minimally seared. Key lime pie must have been refrigerated with onion as it tastes like onions. Baked potatoes were undercooked and still hard. The ribeye, shrimp, and salad bar were on point. Our server, KD was professional and accommodating. We had a much better experience (seating and food quality) at the Cape Carteret Ribeyes. read more

I have actually eaten at this establishment twice in one day. I enjoyed it so much. To begin with it is a comfortable waterfront location with a festive atmosphere and ample indoor as well as outdoor seating. I have always received excellent service by an attentive staff. The menu is adequate for all appetites And they have a bar area as well as an extensive wine list to choose from. On each occasion, I begin with their famous salad bar and any combination of steak, shrimp, etc. don't forget to try there desserts especially that chocolate mousse cake! Once you're done with dinner, feel free to walk across the street and grab a swing or a gingerly walk along the waterfront, A first class attraction for all who come. read more

FINALLY!!!! after six failed attempts my wife finally had a fully cooked well done steak served to her on the first try!! Very nice place with both inside and outside seating, The place was cleaned and looked well-maintained. Omaha steaks somebody else cooking it to perfection what more could one say............ Menu was decent with plenty of choices for steak lovers and non-steak lovers. My wife opted for the Aki tuna she was very pleased with that our daughter opted for a hamburger the only negative is they did not have fries she had to settle for chips. I had the steak they have several different sizes to select from I wanted to add lobster tail with it however that particular day we were there they had no more lobster tails sadly. After reading some of the more positive reviews I have to wonder if the reviewer ate at the same Ribeyes Steakhouse that my wife and I visited. The restaurant itself is in an excellent location for a romantic evening. You can stroll along the Pamlico River before or after dining and the restaurant is very accessible to the waterfront. My biggest problem with Ribeyes is that a place of that name should serve an at least acceptable quality steak. It does not, at least not when we visited. The 8 oz ribeye my wife ordered was very chewy, stringy, and without some sort of sauce, tasteless. It had the texture of Salisbury steak and was about ¼ inch think. The steak came with a regular and "premium side" which (despite the sound of it) was not worth the $30 price tag. I had the grilled salmon which was just okay along with my choice of sides. The salad bar by the way, despite being a premium side, is pretty standard containing the usual and expected toppings. Although the meal did not live up to the restaurant's assumed quality, I have to rate the level of service to be well above par. The server was responsive, but not intrusive, cordial and very pleasant. I will go so far as to say that if the restaurant had any redeeming qualities at all the level of service provide by our server (Gunnar S) would be it. Otherwise, I recommend checking out some of the other restaurants in the area that, although having a less ostentatious appearance, may provide a more enjoyable meal. read more

First of all, let me comment on the professionalism of the wait staff. They were all masked for COVID and did a great job. Our waitress was Miss Zerniak, and she went above and beyond to answer our questions, to make sure our orders were just right and check back on us several times during our meal even though she was very busy. She was first rate. My wife had the 6 ounce filet and the twice baked potato. She said her steak was on par with the Angus Barn in Raleigh and very delicious. I had an eight ounce ribeye and a sweet potato. The steak was very good. We both also had salads that were made for us from the salad bar and were good too. After reading some of the negative reviews, we weren't sure what to expect, but we were very pleased. And then the manager came around clearing tables... She was pleasant and asked how we like our meal, but she had no mask! She bent in our table while I was sitting there to gather dishes. Why would you make sure you entire staff was masked just to not wear one yourself when you are face to face with customers. As we were leaving, another manager was at the check-in desk who also did not have a mask. Too bad. They almost got a rating of five stars. Washington has been a mix of business owners with and without masks. I guess they don't have the same restrictions as other counties, but if people from across the state are used to proprietors wearing masks, why wouldn't a business in Washington do the same? read more
