Homestyle is the default, but the servers were very nice and allowed me to switch to the fried kind for no charge. The fried ones were perfect a little salt and ketchup and they were awesome. My mother and grandmother were with me. My mom got the bacon I ordered and some sausage. She said the bacon was a bit salty, but said the sausage was good. My grandmother got the eggs scrambled with cheese and said they were great. They also left the homestyle potatoes on the table and my grandmother sampled them several times and said they were good. Overall a solid dining experience. A lot of families were in there, but it wasn't too loud. Plenty of restaurant space. The waitresses are older, but get the job done. They were friendly and got the food out to us fresh and quickly. I did not get to try their lunch as they do lunch starting at 10:45am. Breakfast until 10:30am. A really good place to go when you want a quick, affordable breakfast.

I think it's a nice to have in place of a side salad, or it could be shared with others, as an appetizer. I've eaten here about once a week and it's always a pleasure coming here. Most of the time, I've been on the run and wasn't able to eat in the dining area. My food is always ready, if I call it in, and it arrives quickly, if I place the order in-house. Overall, food is not pretentious, it seems like real food, flavorful, and the Greek entrees are delicately seasoned. I really love the moussaka! It's elegant, and the bechamel top layer isn't too heavy, even on a hot summer day in Greenville. It's a beautiful layered entree featuring eggplant, a seasoned meat layer, finally topped with an egg enriched bechamel sauce. I could eat their eggplant everyday, whether it's in the pita, or in a lovely slice of moussaka. I've tried the pastitsio, another layered Greek entree topped with bechamel, and I do like it, but it's not the moussaka, to me; I lean towards the eggplant. The rows of pasta in the pastitsio do make a pretty presentation. I have not had anything here, that I didn't like. The meat in the souvlaki and the Athenian chicken is always tender and moist. The salads have been fresh and the dressings bright and flavorful. The falafel and battered fish have both been moist and delicate, expertly fried. The pita bread is warm, consistently grilled. I love their creamy potato salad, it reminds me of homemade by someone's Grandmother. The staff is patient, pleasant, and provide great service; they have never forgotten dressings, or extra napkins, on my take-out. My food stays warm on the drive home. My orders have always been correct. The dining area has 2 sections, both are inviting and well lit with natural light from skylights and large windows. The decor is retro, and is feels authentically vintage; this restaurant has been in the same location for decades, since 1997. The natural wood grain of the interior tongue and groove wood was never painted, thankfully. This is one of the few Greenville restaurants, a keystone, that has been around for decades. It's an older landmark building in downtown Greenville. It's located next to the Greenville Museum of Art. Regular customers appreciate the team at Marathon.

This is definitely some of the best pho I've ever had and when I return will definitely be getting my own. That fried rice is incredible too, the Chinese sausage really makes it flavorful. The restaurant is small but tables are evenly placed so you don't feel like you are on top of your neighbor and it's very clean. I came into town from Boston to be with my daughter/student at ECU and stayed at the Hilton Hotel for the weekend. The food was beyond great. I am a foodie myself and this was just the place for me. It all started with the pork skins and the dry rub on them with dipping sauce. Needless to say we ate 2 out of our 3 dinners there, breakfast every day and apps as well. I am a forager of wild mushrooms and the beech mushrooms tasted like they were picked form the forest. My daughter made me order them both nights they were so good. I am not a big review guy but this crew deserves it. You can taste the complexity and 5 star dining taste in a relaxed, cool place that is Julep. The big country style table, the ambiance was warm with the fire place lit up and the bar was making great looking designer drinks and or the Budweiser that I prefer. It was, the shrimp and steak appetizer was up to par, the ribeye steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Reasonable menu at the bar, they even had Kentucky Trace allocated bourbons - I had Eagle Rare. Got to give it to them - really nice place.

We ordered the trifecta (waffle, eggs, bacon), kids pancake (cc pancake, sausage, fruit, OJ), kids eggs and sausage and an extra side of fruit. It was delivered quick and everything (aside from that 1 sausage that looks slightly overcooked) was fresh and hot!! I'll start with the positive- that OJ was so fresh, I wish I had known how good it was going to be because I would've ordered 3 more!! The bacon was cooked perfectly, the pancake was huge, cooked well and had a great pancake/ choc chip ratio, the eggs were still soft and the waffle was soft and very tasty! Whatever the berry compote was that came with the waffle, was amazing!!! Seriously, so good. The downside- I can't review the fruit at all... because it was completely missing. The fruit side with the kids meal and the full extra fruit side i ordered were both absent. A bummer as our kids do love their fruit, but DoorDash made it right which I appreciate. Can't speak to service or atmosphere of the restaurant itself since we didn't dine in. Overall, this place was great, and we will 100% be eating it again! Knocking 1 star off just since the fruit to the kids meal and the extra side of it was missing, but I'll update my review next time we eat!
