Great steak and service! My favorite is the short ribs and bang bang shrimp appetizer. It's a casual nice restaurant.

Our food and service was great! I was visiting from Washington DC and was hesitant to try the crabcake benedict. It was surprisingly very good. The French toast sticks were nice and the steak breakfast tacos were delicious! We had a large party with lots of orders and our server handled it well with ease. The restaurant was nice and bright from lots of sunlight coming into the windows and easily accommodated our table of 12-13, along with other patrons around us.

Food is good. We ordered in uber eats and to add chicken to our salad we ordered it cost $9.10! That's wild! I thought maybe we would get a whole dang chicken. When the food arrived this is what we go for $9 of chicken haha.

First time here and we will be back. Food was exceptional and the service was great. Prices were what you'd expect in a good chop house.

My steak was over seasoned. It was way too salty and too much pepper. Everything else was good. The service was good and prompt

Let me also say that I am the consummate "foodie", my life has been driven by my passion for all types of food. When I dine, I try to go into the restaurant with no expectations, so you can pretty much trust what I am telling you about the experience. With that being said, we had just moved to Greenville a few days before and decided we needed to treat ourselves after the week of moving and unpacking. We decided on The Rickhouse, notwithstanding the fact that my first name is Rick! Anyway, we were sat immediately, and were approached quickly by our waiter, Christian. In short, Christian was fabulous throughout the entire meal, even considering the fact that it was only his first week on the job. He certainly has a flair for waiting tables. We ordered drinks and I have had a fair amount of Grey Goose dirty martinis in my life and let me tell you, the bartender knocked this one out of the ballpark. One of the best I have ever had anywhere! We ordered an app, the Chef Crab Dip and it was wonderful. Not too crabby, perfect blend of cheeses and pita chips that I am pretty sure are house-made. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu which was absolutely out of this world! I got to sample the other two entrees at the table, which were the Garlic Parm Chicken Pasta and the special that evening, which was a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon topped with a bacon jam. Both of them were also to die for! We didn't have dessert as we were stuffed already. The bill was $189, which I didn't consider bad as we had an app, three entrees and six drinks. While some might consider that a lot for dinner, I'm also the guy that doesn't bat an eye at spending $600 for a dinner for two at a gourmet French restaurant. Anyway, I can't recommend The Rickhouse enough. Everything from start to finish was just about as perfect of an experience as you can get at a restaurant! I just hope our next visit will be as wonderful as our first!

However, the best part was the service. For the course of a dinner at least four times service staff stopped by and asked if everything was to hour satisfaction. It was, the shrimp and steak appetizer was up to par, the ribeye steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Reasonable menu at the bar, they even had Kentucky Trace allocated bourbons - I had Eagle Rare. Got to give it to them - really nice place.

When you arrive get your name on the list at the counter and stand around with the other folks waiting for a table and stare at the case of cakes that look so very good. I was there during the prime rib special that is two days a week and seems to be a popular choice from what I could hear. The other patrons were friendly while we waited. I'm not sure how long it took to be seated but when my name was called I was put into a booth. At the other tables and booths I noticed the waitstaff knowing the names of the other patrons so that is always a good sign. My waitress was friendly and gave some recommendations. I ordered a piece of cake to go first thing as I wanted to be sure I got a slice of the pig pickin' with the pineapple and mandarin oranges. Bread and hush puppies were brought out with my beverage. I was even offered more if I chose. I went with the filet mignon and shrimp as I couldn't decide between the two so went with an option on the menu to get both. I also got a baked potato and mac n cheese. The potato was huge. Both the filet and the shrimp were great as was the baked potato. I wasn't a fan of the mac n cheese as much so when I got full I was ok not finishing or taking that with me. I will be back the next time I am in Greenville, NC.

It just feels stagnant and uninspired. Nothing new, nothing seasonal, nothing exciting. If you've been once, you've basically seen it all. The food itself was bland and boring. Dishes lacked seasoning and creativity, and nothing stood out as memorable. For the prices they charge, you expect at least some depth of flavor, but everything felt flat. Service was also slow, even though it wasn't especially busy. We waited far too long for basic things, and the staff didn't seem particularly attentive or professional. There was a noticeable lack of urgency and overall polish. Overall, it feels like a place that hasn't evolved in years -- same menu, same energy, same issues. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to expectations.

We look forward to returning.

We all noted and commented on how perfectly cooked every item was. One teeny concern was the long wait to pay our checks. My party was quite ready to go after a long day at graduation but waited quite a while, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening. The garnish was fairly tasty. No one came back & asked about them. I ordered the Mahi with mushroom risotto. Mahi was not very flavorful & somewhat dry. The risotto was good with some much needed salt. My wife ordered a twice baked potato & stir fried veggies. The potato was anything but. It reminded me of 2 potato wedges.
