This is a great location to celebrate a special occasion. The ambience is amazing. The food is great and the staff were super friendly. Only thing I would say is the portions are smaller than what some might expect.

I was super excited when I found Encino online for my upcoming NC visit for my Moms birthday. The Instagram page looked like just my vibes! Walking in the door the aesthetics were just as expected. It was very nice and welcoming on the inside. The outside has fire pits and a nice looking lounge area also. We were pleasantly greeted at the hosted stand and seated for our reservation. Our server Denasia came out to greet us pleasantly. We ordered a couple apps for the table, the stuffed poblano and the guac which were both fresh and delicious! The cocktails were also really good, I had a spicy marg and my sis had the sunrise mimosa. We ordered our entrees next and mine was the filet mignon prepared medium. I wasn't too crazy about the flavor and it was also a bit dry. When expressed to our server she let someone know and came back to say that it wouldn't be removed from the bill because they feel it was prepared perfectly. I still asked to order the short rib in its place, and mentioned that it's poor business practice to tell a customer that something is prepared perfectly if they express it wasn't suitable to them. We noticed a gentleman who we thought may have been the manager hovering around but never approached the table to say anything. When the short rib came out it was literally a quarter of the size of the one my sister was served and had very little au jus around it. It was small to the point that I thought it was a prank! I also let her know that we never received the sweet potato side. By now we were ready to order a 3rd round of drinks but I was frustrated and asked for the bill for the table. Denasia let me know they would be removing the steak, short rib, and side that never came. I was a little more relieved at that, also still felt they left her in the line of fire. When we were then pleasantly approached by Joel a Mgr. I explained what went wrong and how I had such high expectations. And also that we had thoroughly enjoyed everything else. I appreciated so much that he came to speak with us so I ordered that 3rd round which also ended up comped. He turned what could have been an experience that left a bad taste in our mouth around to one in which I'll be return when back in town. And hopefully the weather is good enough to enjoy the outside area. Thank you so much Denasia, and Joel for superb customer service.

Wonderful atmosphere! Service was amazing! Food was awesome! I had sushi, husband had short rib, son had the burger and daughter-in-law had the steak de Camarons. Everything was delicious!! Short ribs fell off the bone! Steak de camarons was not what we expected but delicious! Portions were good. Oysters were the best I've had!

We made reservations for this evening at 5pm. We arrived and were promptly greeted by the hostess and shown to our table. It was raining and the hostess was so kind and offered to take my coat and hang it up. Our server, Danasia, was phenomenal!!!! Knowledgeable, informative and made GREAT recommendations. We had a bottle of Chenin Blanc, which was beautifully presented and Danasia made sure our glasses were never empty. The atmosphere, the food and the service were top notch. All the dishes looked almost too good to eat! We had Tetelas for an appetizer, the Caesar salad (made table side), Chocinita Pibil, and the grilled Mahi Mahi. The owners of Encino did NOT miss a thing. The decor, the music, the choice of stemware and tableware were perfect. Did I mention the restrooms were spotless? Highly recommended!!!!

This is a beautiful restaurant with ample parking. Service is great. Our server (Patty) had a lot of recommendations and was very attentive. Food was good. My husband got the rib eye with truffle fries and I got three tacos. Definitely an elevated experience so nice for a slightly fancy night out. For two of us it came to around $230 with tax and tip and that included two appetizers and two rounds of drinks each, along with the main entree. Will go back especially to try out the brunch and patio seating.

Our server Jordan was attentive and flexible as well as friendly, but not overbearing. Our entrées were all absolutely spectacular, particularly the mushroom risotto with the grilled mahi, the peel and eat shrimp, and the crabcakes. We all noted and commented on how perfectly cooked every item was. One teeny concern was the long wait to pay our checks. My party was quite ready to go after a long day at graduation but waited quite a while, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening. One extra nice touch was the little table lamp, which cast a perfect bright light over the table surface, but a very pleasant indirect light everywhere else.

I started with fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They came out & were heavily battered & the tomato was not cooked at all. I ate one & my wife ate one. We sent the rest back. The garnish was fairly tasty. No one came back & asked about them. I ordered the Mahi with mushroom risotto. Mahi was not very flavorful & somewhat dry. The risotto was good with some much needed salt. My wife ordered a twice baked potato & stir fried veggies. The potato was anything but. It reminded me of 2 potato wedges. The veggies were about a handful. The sides were $5 each. All tolled it was almost $60 & YES they charged us for the tomatoes we sent back! IMO they are a 5 star restaurant wnnabe but less than 3 actually.

Let me also say that I am the consummate "foodie", my life has been driven by my passion for all types of food. When I dine, I try to go into the restaurant with no expectations, so you can pretty much trust what I am telling you about the experience. With that being said, we had just moved to Greenville a few days before and decided we needed to treat ourselves after the week of moving and unpacking. We decided on The Rickhouse, notwithstanding the fact that my first name is Rick! Anyway, we were sat immediately, and were approached quickly by our waiter, Christian. In short, Christian was fabulous throughout the entire meal, even considering the fact that it was only his first week on the job. He certainly has a flair for waiting tables. We ordered drinks and I have had a fair amount of Grey Goose dirty martinis in my life and let me tell you, the bartender knocked this one out of the ballpark. One of the best I have ever had anywhere! We ordered an app, the Chef Crab Dip and it was wonderful. Not too crabby, perfect blend of cheeses and pita chips that I am pretty sure are house-made. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu which was absolutely out of this world! I got to sample the other two entrees at the table, which were the Garlic Parm Chicken Pasta and the special that evening, which was a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon topped with a bacon jam. Both of them were also to die for! We didn't have dessert as we were stuffed already. The bill was $189, which I didn't consider bad as we had an app, three entrees and six drinks. While some might consider that a lot for dinner, I'm also the guy that doesn't bat an eye at spending $600 for a dinner for two at a gourmet French restaurant. Anyway, I can't recommend The Rickhouse enough. Everything from start to finish was just about as perfect of an experience as you can get at a restaurant! I just hope our next visit will be as wonderful as our first!

However, the best part was the service. For the course of a dinner at least four times service staff stopped by and asked if everything was to hour satisfaction. It was, the shrimp and steak appetizer was up to par, the ribeye steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Reasonable menu at the bar, they even had Kentucky Trace allocated bourbons - I had Eagle Rare. Got to give it to them - really nice place.

From the parts I got to see inside was small table seating around the bar. We got lucky to sit in at the outdoor covered patio seating which was great minus perhaps some outdoor heaters to warm it up a bit. Service was good overall. Servers were fun and helpful. Service a bit slow on our drink refills but the food running and table bussing was fast. Food was great, wished I had taken pics to share. Menu consisted of a good selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and sides. Everything we tried was great. Chicken nachos were awesome, wish they had been a bit bigger but the topping portions was perfect and the taste amazing. The Cuban and fried pork chop sandwiches were again great and the spicy sweet potato fries were so good. Potion sizes were good and the food tasty. The nachos and spicy sweet potato fries were my faves. While probably not the place for young families, this was a hidden gem and fantastic find. Not really for those in wheelchairs as it is tight getting through the bar area, but there was a small ramp I recall. Bathrooms could use some work, about what you'd expect at your local dive bar but only a single stall and could be cleaner. Highly recommend this place.
