First visit to this location. Much better experience here. I was politely and quickly seated and greeted by my server. I liked that they have a lunch menu, which includes a sandwich, side, and non alcoholic beverage for $10. My choice was the ECU smash burger, which included two patties, chili, slaw, and mustard. Side was the Cajun dusted fries, and a sweet tea. While waiting, I noticed two local things - the stage for the ECU Pirate Radio show, which airs live at this location on Mondays, and just a few tables away from me WNCT's Sportscaster legend Brian Bailey! Arrived in Greenville late on a Sunday and our options in town were limited. Had tried to hit a spot downtown but they didn't have Liqour so we found this place about a mile and a half away. Everyone was super nice when we arrived. We ordered a couple cocktails, some cheese fries, and the bbq burger. Everything came out promptly. Decent spot to watch a game, good spot to have a drink. Not a place to get a burger or wings. Nothing jumbo about the undercooked tiny wings, and you can get a better burger than the dry greasy ones they served up at any drive thru. Not from the area and was drawn in by a few advertisements we saw at ECU. Pretty average lunch experience here. The service was quite slow, despite only about 5 tables of customers around 12:30 pm. There were about 5 female employees gathered at the front talking and on their phones quite a bit and not being as quick to get to customers as they maybe should have. Fried mushrooms were good. Caprese burger was average. The cheesesteak was about a 3 out of 5. Pretty small and meat was a bit chunky. Restaurant is a bit dark, ladies room not the cleanest. The lady serving the bar customers was swearing a lot - families might not appreciate the F bombs. Pretty expensive lunch, $56 including tip. Might return, would order different food. read more

Tiebreakers is always on point. Nothing incredibly fancy, but consistently good. The staff is great. Brandi, one of the bartenders is amazing. She just gets it done. She has an incredible memory of people and what they drink. She mixes a lot of drinks, pours a lot of beer, serves food, and gets it done in a timely and very Smooth manner. She is constantly checking to see if customers need anything. I traveled many years, ate dinner at bars. It's interesting to watch how different bartenders handle rushes, problems, and difficult patrons. Brandi is just good at what she does. Kudos to Brandi. Their rewards program is b/s don't fall for! They never offer to use rewards. They have no policy when it can be applied. When you ask, they reply with some new made up qualifications. A little transparency with the rewards program would go along way with reason to participat. read more

Ya'll know why I am here. This time it is a solid 4 overall. The food is a five. No. They didn't get my customary 4.5 this time. Nice spacious bar. Pool tables are off in the cut. Plenty of TVs. M-F Happy Hour specials but this is NC IYKYK. We were right as a rock after our meal so we didn't stay until that started. I spied with my little eye: Fried Pickles! These are my litmus test for any fine establishment or greasy spoon. Immediately ordered them and the coconut rum & pineapple drink special. Bae came back from the 'froom ordered a beer and two more apps: fried mushrooms (his fave) and hushpuppies. And yes, we did order real food too! The fried pickles came to our table fresh out of the grease just the way I like them. Circles of golden brown breaded perfection that weren't too greasy and didn't fall apart when you bit into them. I believe it was a side of regular ranch? We scarfed those bad boys down. I slurped my drink down super quickly and reordered another. I mean it was in special for $4 so why not? I could taste the coconut flavor but it wasn't very strong. The fried mushrooms and hushpuppies made their appearance. My drink was MIA. The bar didn't seem too busy. The restaurant crown that was there had died down. I had new fried goodness to enjoy. I could wait a little longer. We each ordered burgers so maybe it will come with my meal. Fried mushrooms were a freshly made delight. Sometimes they can be crispy and crunch on the outside and a little wet/soggy in the middle. Not these. I got the gooey ooey experience I wanted with a little burger envy cuz Bae's looked divineB Eventually my drink showed up. Now I don't know how long it had been sitting in purgatory (Ding! 4 stars). No bueno. Cardinal rule of drink specials is to keep 'em coming. Our waitress checked on us a fair amount so how did she forget my drink? The drink wasn't too watered down but the ice had melted some. Tainted my desire to get a third drink. For those who are curious we finished our real food. Leftovers? About 5 fried pickles, 4 hushpuppies and 1/3 basket of the mushroom. When I checked-in to my surprise I received a 10% off Yelp deal. I showed it to the waitress. She said she would come back and take it off at the end. 1) I could get back to that screen after she left. 2) she forgot to take the discount (another reason for 4 stars). Bae whipped out his card so fast he didn't give me time to reconcile this. Pro tip: Go during happy hour if you can. The each of the apps we tried were $2.50 cheaper during HH. Doing the math it's a buy 2 get 1 free situation should you decide to be as gluttonous as we were. Lol! Will we go back? Absolutely! The have a fired jalapeño & banana peppers app I need to try. There's an awful lot to like here. Plenty of TVs, friendly people and solid food. We were warmly greeted by a hostess and promptly seated. After checking out the huge menu, i landed in the Barnhouse burger. It was solid and i paired with tots. I put the "aioli" on the side and as I suspected it was too sweet for me. Didn't really seem like aioli and more like a glaze. Great food and atmosphere but the menu seems way too big. I'll definitely be back. read more

Management staff, GM, servers and bartenders have massive attitudes, dishonest, with personal problems they bring to their job. They just do not appreciate you or respect good customers! Manager overstepped her authority (Kim). Food too expensive and too much local gossip. Encountered drug use and selling it by employees and patrons inside kitchen and bathrooms. This happens often there. New restaurant and bar; bad start to make money in a recession. Cheat customers. Go to another restaurant y bar to relax, for less staff drama and better service! We spent large amounts of money there but not any more! They need a new general manager ASAP read more

We went to the Winterville, NC Tie Breakers. Our service was absolutely terrible. Our waitress took our order. And she did bring our order to us. Did we see her again? NO. She did not come back and ask how the order was. Nor did she come back to see if we needed any refills. She came back and ask if we were ready for the check. And then she asked if we needed a refill. We loved everything! Wings are amazing done perfectly with a dry rub! We all enjoyed the zucchini f.f highly recommend them! My stepdaughter had the chicken steak with hash browns seasoned great! Everything is made fresh here including dressings. The mozzarella sticks are huge and fill you up after two. I had chicken salad wrap without the wrap over Caesar salad and it was delicious! Family owned with second location in Winterville that's more restaurant and less bar atmosphere than the Greenville location. My husband and I just recently moved to Greenville! On Friday of this week we were both exhausted from the move/work and we both wanted to go out to eat but somewhere pretty laidback! We found Tie Breakers on Yelp and decided to give it a try! We very much enjoyed it! The restaurant was fairly large. There were pool tables, a couple arcade games, and multiple TVs. This will for sure be our go to place when we have games we want to watch! The restaurant was very clean! Our waitress was great and timely, even with the place being packed! We got the pimento cheese dip with the pork rinds for an appetizer! Loved it!! Very tasty and the pork rinds had the perfect crunch! I got the cheeseburger quesadilla which I enjoyed as well! My husband got the chicken bacon ranch quesadilla that he loved!! After dinner we both talked about how the portion sizes were perfect! We can't wait to come back! read more

This place has become a favorite spot when in Greenville. There's usually a great crowd any time of day. On two different times our server was just subpar seemed disinterested but not enough to outweigh the times if good service. Food is really good. One of our favorite spots food is always consistently good. We had one bad experience here probably a year ago but it was just a fluke and every other time has been great so don't completely write it off after one bad experience! The CBR Quesadilla is by far our favorite menu item but the Buffalo Chicken salad is a close second. The prices of their wings has gotten a little out of control so I can't bring myself to order them but the sauces are all great with the chicken tenders! read more
