Great place, cool vibes. Extremely attentive bartenders. Jess and Mackenzie are the best.

Great drinks but the seating isn't great. Couple of large high tops and some smaller tables. Service was great and drinks were good!

From the parts I got to see inside was small table seating around the bar. We got lucky to sit in at the outdoor covered patio seating which was great minus perhaps some outdoor heaters to warm it up a bit. Service was good overall. Servers were fun and helpful. Service a bit slow on our drink refills but the food running and table bussing was fast. Food was great, wished I had taken pics to share. Menu consisted of a good selection of apps, sandwiches, burgers and sides. Everything we tried was great. Chicken nachos were awesome, wish they had been a bit bigger but the topping portions was perfect and the taste amazing. The Cuban and fried pork chop sandwiches were again great and the spicy sweet potato fries were so good. Potion sizes were good and the food tasty. The nachos and spicy sweet potato fries were my faves. While probably not the place for young families, this was a hidden gem and fantastic find. Not really for those in wheelchairs as it is tight getting through the bar area, but there was a small ramp I recall. Bathrooms could use some work, about what you'd expect at your local dive bar but only a single stall and could be cleaner. Highly recommend this place.

Pricing matches large city restaurants but is justified for the right occasion I started with the tortilla soups . presentation was over the top. Sadly the tortilla slices were excessively abundant. The broth was just warm. Condiments added were a wonderful white cheese. A light sour cream. Avocado and dried pepper for some spice. Tacos were beyond great. The fish taco was beautiful to look at and the taste was outstanding. The fish was fried in a light batter, not at all oily. It tasted like it was never frozen and fresh from the sea. I mistakenly also order a steak taco. The fish taco would have been enough. The steak taco wasn't much to look at but the meat was tender and tasty. Tacos were served with a street corn that matched what you would have in New Mexico Margaritas were top shelf in taste and the dried lime gave it a special appearance Aside from the soup everything was a ten (soup was good just too much of too much)

I now have to make other arrangements at the last minute which is troubling when some of my guests are from out of town. Again, they do not honor their commitments and the communication about expectations/fees was nonexistent. Horrible experience. Beware!

Let me also say that I am the consummate "foodie", my life has been driven by my passion for all types of food. When I dine, I try to go into the restaurant with no expectations, so you can pretty much trust what I am telling you about the experience. With that being said, we had just moved to Greenville a few days before and decided we needed to treat ourselves after the week of moving and unpacking. We decided on The Rickhouse, notwithstanding the fact that my first name is Rick! Anyway, we were sat immediately, and were approached quickly by our waiter, Christian. In short, Christian was fabulous throughout the entire meal, even considering the fact that it was only his first week on the job. He certainly has a flair for waiting tables. We ordered drinks and I have had a fair amount of Grey Goose dirty martinis in my life and let me tell you, the bartender knocked this one out of the ballpark. One of the best I have ever had anywhere! We ordered an app, the Chef Crab Dip and it was wonderful. Not too crabby, perfect blend of cheeses and pita chips that I am pretty sure are house-made. I had the Chicken Cordon Bleu which was absolutely out of this world! I got to sample the other two entrees at the table, which were the Garlic Parm Chicken Pasta and the special that evening, which was a bacon wrapped Filet Mignon topped with a bacon jam. Both of them were also to die for! We didn't have dessert as we were stuffed already. The bill was $189, which I didn't consider bad as we had an app, three entrees and six drinks. While some might consider that a lot for dinner, I'm also the guy that doesn't bat an eye at spending $600 for a dinner for two at a gourmet French restaurant. Anyway, I can't recommend The Rickhouse enough. Everything from start to finish was just about as perfect of an experience as you can get at a restaurant! I just hope our next visit will be as wonderful as our first!

However, the best part was the service. For the course of a dinner at least four times service staff stopped by and asked if everything was to hour satisfaction. It was, the shrimp and steak appetizer was up to par, the ribeye steak was cooked just as I ordered it. Reasonable menu at the bar, they even had Kentucky Trace allocated bourbons - I had Eagle Rare. Got to give it to them - really nice place.

Our server Jordan was attentive and flexible as well as friendly, but not overbearing. Our entrées were all absolutely spectacular, particularly the mushroom risotto with the grilled mahi, the peel and eat shrimp, and the crabcakes. We all noted and commented on how perfectly cooked every item was. One teeny concern was the long wait to pay our checks. My party was quite ready to go after a long day at graduation but waited quite a while, even though the restaurant was mostly empty at that point. Overall, a very small matter that did not dampen our very enjoyable evening. One extra nice touch was the little table lamp, which cast a perfect bright light over the table surface, but a very pleasant indirect light everywhere else.

I started with fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They came out & were heavily battered & the tomato was not cooked at all. I ate one & my wife ate one. We sent the rest back. The garnish was fairly tasty. No one came back & asked about them. I ordered the Mahi with mushroom risotto. Mahi was not very flavorful & somewhat dry. The risotto was good with some much needed salt. My wife ordered a twice baked potato & stir fried veggies. The potato was anything but. It reminded me of 2 potato wedges. The veggies were about a handful. The sides were $5 each. All tolled it was almost $60 & YES they charged us for the tomatoes we sent back! IMO they are a 5 star restaurant wnnabe but less than 3 actually.
