May sound rough but it's the truth. My family the other two buildings on each corner diagonally from them. The restaurant's building is disgusting. It sat for years with the mold growing inside. Building spend several years empty after which a restaurant moves in the gets 5 feet of flooding with each hurricane flood. These restaurants inevitably move out for obvious reasons. Years pass before next restaurant moves in. They paint the walls and away they go. Besides my family owning a couple of buildings by the water you had Doug "The Mayor of Water Street". He owned the other 7 buildings. It was gross inside back in early 90's. Nobody has ever stripped it to studs and brought in professional cleaners.

We've both dined in and ordered takeout several times and the service has consistently been wonderful. Our servers and everyone handling our takeout orders have always been incredibly sweet and kind. I will say the hostess experience wasn't the best during our first couple of visits, but thankfully that hasn't reflected the service we've received otherwise. The burgers are AMAZING. I've tried the Bear time Burger as well as the blue cheese burger, which is definitely rich but still so good. The ribeye was absolutely delectable. We've also had the crab dip, which was really flavorful, although a little mayo rich for my personal taste. I'm not crazy about their regular fries but I love that they offer sweet potato fries instead and the cinnamon sweet butter they come with is so good. I also love the croissants they bring out instead of regular bread. They're always warm, delicious, and nearly impossible to resist. Overall, Morgan's has become such an easy go-to for us. The menu has enough variety that it's especially great when we have visitors because everyone can usually find something they'll enjoy. Whether we're dining in or just grabbing takeout, it's one of those places I'm always happy to go back to.

I walked in by myself one afternoon and was immediately welcomed by a bar full of regulars and a warm and friendly bartender. I got a "hey come on in", "welcome", "I like your sweater", "this seat is open!" Right off the bat. A few local patrons "adopted" me as one of their own, even though I was just in town visiting. Drinks are cheap. And there is an outdoor area for smoking, with heat lamps in the winter. It is predominantly a Steelers bar (football), and it's where a lot of active and retired Marines go to let loose. Pool tables, darts, and video trivia are available too!
