    Irish Boxty

Out and about looking for a new place to try bestie and I decided to give the Angry Ginger Irish Pub a try. Can't go wrong with an Irish pub am I right? Walking in we weren't 100% percent sure where to go but we figured it out and full steam ahead to a table close the doors that led out to their outdoor patio, definitely a spot to hang out on a warm sunny day another time. Waiter was friendly and attentive, decor was a little outdated but looked like it would be a fun place to hang out and play a round of pool. Irish Boxty came out fast and knocked our socks off because it was filled with creamy mashed potato goodness. The Double Double and onion rings came out the same exact time as her husband's to go order that she had placed later than our meals which I thought was a little odd, considering his food would probably be cold by the time we got done eating our meals but hey it is what it is. Onion rings were very tasty but a little on the greasy side, maybe they were just having an off day. The Double Double was just not for me because it was cooked way too hard with no juice remaining. I mean I love a good smash burger and I know they are supposed to be flat and "smashed" to death, but some of the other smash burgers I've had elsewhere still have the juicy goodness in them. Next time I'll try something different, maybe some of the other Irish fare? I'll update my review the next time I'm back!

Not much to look at from the outside, inside it's a typical tavern or large bar/restaurant. We made the mistake of coming on St. Patricts day when everyone else had the same idea. You have to seat yourself so there was a wait to find somewhere to squeeze in. While we were waiting, watching the staff you could tell they were frantic and reached that point where they were running in circles and not working too efficiently. A large table cleared and we sat down asking two other families to join us since we all fit, and we cleared the table for the staff. We sat for about 30 minutes trying to wave at the staff and finally flagged down a waitress to give us menus and we insisted she stay and take our drink orders. We never saw her again. The next waitress we flagged down did get us drinks and explained that the entire support staff that clears tables and runs food all decided not to show up for work on their busiest day of the year. On top of that several waitresses didn't show up and some of the kitchen staff did not either. Our waitress was apologetic and friendly so we all decided to continue to wait another 30 minutes went by. A good portion of the room was taken up by a band and their friends and family, they took up way too much space and added to the congestion and noise but did not seem to be ordering much, While the band itself seemed to be 3-4 people, their entourage was well over 30 people, kids, strollers, etc. If I was the manager I might have thought to ask some of them to go home and make room for paying customers. Last, as many of you know I have problems (due to a hearing injury) with loud rooms, crowds, and noisy environments, this scenario of a hard-surfaced dining room, overcrowded, with a lot of drunk people (tap beers were free or heavily discounted due to the holiday) and a live amplified band was everything I am uncomfortable with. Loud noisy areas give me real physical pain and disorientation. If you don't like loud places, this might not be the best place, at least on holidays. I checked the decibel levels and it was frequently over 140! Continuious volumes over 85 decibels can damage your hearing, 140 was way too much for me, and we felt really bad for the babies and small kids people brought (to a bar) whose hearing is more susceptible to damage from high volumes. So why a four-star? Great food, and a surprisingly good attitude from the wait staff, and once we got our order in, it came out quickly, well prepared and everything was great. We'll come back again, not on a major Irish-themed holiday lol!

We enjoy coming to this bar and restaurant but especially during Saint Patrick's day.. some staff wear kilts the vibes just fun the foods pretty good but they have expanded in building they are in . One side has huge bar but a virtual game screen which no others have. The staff is friendly and we always have good time! They have a lot to offer! Not only do they have that virtual game side with bar but they have main pub and also the outdoor patio that's covered and has own dining experiences!

A Thursday afternoon lunch. Here is what we liked. * Immediate seating. Basic seat yourself. Selection of tables and high tops. * Menu selection. Lot of variety. Took a bit to narrow the choices down. *Tavern Rolls with corn beef. Crisp and a good balance of filling. * Chicken tenders large pieces of white meat and good flavor in the coating. Nice and crisp. * The Misses like crisp bacon and that's exactly how it came out on her BLT. * The Irish breakfast burger is an odd yet satisfying collection of ingredients. The banger and hash browns combined with the burger were. Solid good surprise. What could of been better: * While we weren't in a rush, our daughter joined us on her lunch. Had to scoot out quickly as her lunch break was over, service was incredibly slow. They appeared to only have two servers tending to the dining area. While they weren't real busy- service was slow. * The Boxty appetizer was ok- needed something else as they were quite bland. As we had also orders sour cream on the side. Each one was coated with it on the bottom. * The fries were lacking something, salt or something - just bland.

Enjoyed the Guinness pie with a black and tan. Food and service is good. If you're looking for Irish, make a visit.

We did not eat food here so I cannot comment on that. We came here with a group to play some of the virtual games they have and also have some cocktails. When we first arrived, it was relatively busy but they only had one employee working, and she was struggling to manage running the bar and also coming out to the different gaming areas to take orders of customers there. Overall I was pretty impressed with the variety of games you could play. They had golf, soccer, both rifle and pistol shooting games, archery, bags, bowling and some others. They let you rent a gaming area by the hour and then you can keep adding on by the half hour. They had a pretty good drink menu. We ended up going up to the bar for drinks because they only had one girl working. I could also appreciate that it was a family friendly place. We were visiting friends and they have two girls who are 11 and 13, and they were able to participate in the fun. Overall I would come back here if I was I the area, I would just recommend to management having more employees working so customers aren't waiting 20 minutes to try and order.

Good cornbeef & cabbage also good fish tacos..drinks are Good

This place is under new ownership. The new outside paint job, wow, it's pretty bold! It reminds me…read moreof a Chinese restaurant with the bright red and yellow colors. The building certainly needed a paint job. Four of us had reservations and our table was ready when we arrived. We've eaten here several times in the past and were looking forward to a good dinner. The place was pretty full. We ordered drinks to start. Mine was missing for 7-8 minutes after the rest got theirs. Our waitress was apologetic. I ordered the Shepherd's pie, which was always my favorite there, and a side salad with blue cheese on the side. My husband ordered the fish and chips. One friend ordered the Irish fried chicken sandwich and a side salad, also with blue cheese dressing. Our other friend wanted a Caesar salad (but it's no longer on the menu) and soup of the day. The waitress said the chef was not making soup because it was hot outside. We scratched our heads at that comment. My friend ended up ordering the steak salad. While waiting, the waitress came out with a very small bowl of blue cheese dressing. Hmmm, was that for two of us to share? Three entrees came out, followed by one salad a few minutes later. The fried chicken sandwich and other salad didn't show up....for long time. The waitress could have brought the salad out. Something happened that the kitchen dropped the ball on his order. His finally came out after the three of us were just about done with our meal. His chicken breast was small. He had to ask for his blue cheese dressing and the waitress looked at the bowl that was in front of me with an expression that made us think we did have to share it. It was enough for one salad, not two. She did bring out some for him. My friends steak salad was served in a huge, deep bowl. The amount of salad could have fed all four of us. It was topped with the steak, which wasn't a big portion and on the dry side. I was disappointed with the Shepherd's pie. The mashed potatoes, thick dollops instead of the potatoes spread out in an even layer, were on the dry side, not creamy at all. The ground beef and vegetables were okay, just not a lot of flavor. My husband's fish and chips were very good. A big piece of battered fish! The fries were good too. It was probably the best meal of the night. The waitress gave a 10% discount to our friend who had to wait a long time for his meal. My husband and I also got a 10% discount, which was unnecessary. Honestly, our friend's meal should have been taken off the bill in its entirety. Then when we get the bill, there is some sort of surcharge, which the waitress couldn't explain was it was for. The staff should know, and it should be annotated on the menu. Be up front with your extra charges, don't make customers find out at the end of the meal. I even heard one person at the table next to us also question this surcharge. Overall, a disappointing dinner. There were too many negatives over positives. We did note that there were only two waitresses and if I remember correctly, ours was fairly new to the place. But what happened with the missing meal that took so long to get to the table? Will we come back? I'm not sure.

They blocked off part of the parking lot, had live music going, and the whole place had that fun, lively energy you want on a holiday like this. Because of the crowd, the menu was trimmed down to the more popular items, but it still had plenty of good options. I ended up getting their Irish eggrolls, they're hand‑rolled and stuffed with house‑cured corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese, then sliced and served with their Thousand Island dressing. Basically, it's all the flavors of a Reuben wrapped up in a crispy shell, simple, rich, and exactly the kind of thing that works well at an event like this because its quick and its finger food you can eat while watching the band,. Overall, the atmosphere was great, parking is such a hassle though during these events on the weekend because H-Mart nearby is already so packed. I was greeted, then seated. I was provided a menu and specials...Prime Rib! After my hectic day, yes I will have that! I mentioned gluten free to my server before making decision. Plus seeing the loaded potato had me a bit worried as I cannot ear pork. I opted for salad once server checked to see if Caesar salad dressing is gf sans croutons. I requested salad with dressing on the side and to bring promptly before my dinner. Salad arrived by and server dressed and it was glistening.... I requested one with dressing on the side...server brought maybe I had two bites and dinner arrived! Salad can wait...prime rib cannot, even though I start with tasting potato. Prime rib was requested mid rare and it delivered. Potato was fine. I did not see the au jus nor horseradish sauce on the side. I did ask server while I was ready to pack it up and he said there was some confusion if there was/was not no gluten so not provided. Noteworthy as the salad a manager stopped by about the dressing and mentioned one type of salad dressing is now gf and one vegan. Good to have options. Disappointed to learn the fries are coated with flour then fried as an option with burger skip the bun...what about baked chips or air fry for those with food sensitivities as an alternative? Just a thought for management to consider please. I saved room for dessert and the mousse did not disappoint and was compted .... thank you! Fantastic! As I looked around there was a steady crowd entering along with regular patrons. Overall 4.5 stars for this visit. On a side note, this is a family friendly restauran/pub. Some servers look disheveled between sloppy hair and untidy uniform. For staff with long hair should be pulled back tight and away from food will prevent hair on the food! Uniform is simple black top and pants....should be clean and neat. A few servers looked like they rolled out of bed...if they are feeling ill, please stay home. Servers should make diners and patrons have a positive and pleasant experience and my server was definitely on point with emphasis on customer service and satisfaction....keep it up! Lastly, females please wear a bra or sports bra or a proper garment under uniform as it is family friendly restaurant, thank you!
