Revival has a cool vibe. This was our first time here. But we heard they had great charcuterie boards and fun drinks. We didn't get any charcuterie because we came after dinner so I can't speak to that. There's the side with a bar. Very Busy! And the other side is filled with couches and chairs. It took awhile for us to find a place to sit and it was probably around 7:30pm. But since it was busy it too a while to get some service so be prepared for that on a busy day. I loved the bathroom they had a candle burning to make it smell good. I always love it when I see bathrooms that have hair pins, safety pins, tampons, hairspray, etc for women for any wardrobe malfunction or need to fresh up. Kudos! I got the drink "For the Peculiar Guest." Our waitress said it was one of her favorites but it's a bitter drink because of the base alcohol Malort. I had never had Malort before. I thought I would give the drink a try. It was good, a little bitter but not bad! And some background the bartender who created this drink also won best drink at a Malort fest in Raleigh recently. Quite an accomplishment! They have different mixed drinks - give them a try!

Revival is a fun and relaxing cocktail bar in Clayton NC. They have a seasonal cocktail menu and just about every liquor you can think of on the wall. The have some couches/rooms set up for you and your party to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. During this visit, we tried The Peculiar Guest, The French Antagonist and the Old Fashioned. The Peculiar Guest has a Malort as it's base and was mixed magnificantly. The French Antagonist used Cognac and was a delightful, light version of the old fashioned. I'll be back. I also took this awesome photo.

Absolutely love the vibe at Revival 1869! Place was busy but had no issue finding a seat or getting drinks. Bartenders made some delicious cocktails. Will definitely be back!

Wonderfully dark, open, friendly, and comfortable tavern with aptly named cocktails served well and full of personality and flavor. Make this place one of your stops when nearby.

Outstanding establishment! Revival has to be hurting, being it only sells alcoholic drinks and "appetizers" it is not allowed to open due to North Carolina's idiot Governor, however the three neighbors that have a "dinner" menu but large bars are open. So ladies and gentlemen of Clayton and the surrounding areas, when Comrade Roy "Jimmy Carter" Cooper anoints Revival with his awesome blessing, please go and party like it's 1869!!!!!

My second drink didn't come until after we were done with mains and before bringing mains, our dishes weren't cleared from small plates so we were handing dirty plates to the person serving our food to make room on the table. Then they never came back with new silverware or plates so we again had to flag someone down. Before 7pm they were also out of the half chicken and they bread pudding dessert. Then it came time to pay and trying to use an open table credit was a nightmare. The manager simply said "we don't take that, we moved to toast" but the reservation was made through the credit as a place to use it.

The cocktail menu is on the smaller side but well-curated. Prices are reasonable ($11-$12 per drink). Our group especially enjoyed the Manhattan, the smoked Old Fashioned, and the Paper Plane--each one was well-balanced and flavorful. That said, the bartending staff seemed a bit inexperienced. Several had to refer to recipe cards, which slowed things down, and they weren't confident making drinks off-menu. With some more training and time behind the bar, this should improve. There's also a food truck on-site. We didn't get a chance to try it, but the menu looked appealing and gives us a reason to return. Overall, a fun spot with a strong foundation. Once the team finds their rhythm, this could easily become a go-to neighborhood bar.

Their roast beef panini is on par with Portillo's a long standing Chicago beef restaurant (IYKYK). I've NEVER had a beef sandwich that was better than Portillo's but Postino you managed to take a hometown classic and elevate it to a point beyond my expectations - if you get this sandwich I recommend getting it on the ciabatta bread versus focaccia. Let's not overlook the tomato soup - it's so rich and flavorful. For a lighter lunch my go to is the tuna panini with broccoli salad. They are known for their boards, I've not had the bruschetta yet but it looks delicious. My favorite board is the hummus. One thing I hate is when a restaurant gives you a big bowl of hummus and not enough pita. That is not the case here, you'll get pita, toasted bread, and a variety of vegetables to scoop up the velvety humus covered in cherry tomatoes, red onion and feta. For date night enjoy a Violet Femme a gin cocktail that tastes as lovely as it looks. The service here is top notch! Everyone is fantastic. I'll have to come back to this review to note the serves names we've had because they have all been exceptional. Now let's talk about the vibe! Postino's nailed the indoor/outdoor feel. Plenty of windows that are open on nice days, plants galore and the decor gives you a cool like rockstar but classy feel. 5 stars doesn't feel like enough.

I drove from Fayetteville, North Carolina, because I had visited before and was looking forward to coming back. As a small business owner myself--I own several businesses, including The Sip Room wine bar--I understand that mistakes happen and that every business has policies that employees are expected to follow. When I arrived, the employee working the counter took another customer's order before mine, even though I was next. I didn't make an issue of it because things happen. After placing my order, I was told the business no longer accepts tap-to-pay through a digital wallet. No problem. I went to my car to get my physical card. Before paying, I simply asked if they accepted tap with the physical card. He said yes. I replied that it was interesting they accepted tap with the card but not through a digital wallet. His response was, "I don't make the f***ing rules. You can just leave." I was completely caught off guard. I never raised my voice, never used profanity, and never became disrespectful. I simply asked a question. Instead of de-escalating the situation, he repeatedly told me to "leave" and "get out." As I tried to leave, I couldn't get the front door open. He told me to go out the back, then said he would open the front door if I asked him. When I did, he looked at me and said, "Say please." That was one of the most humiliating customer service experiences I've ever had. Other customers were laughing while this was happening, and the employee seemed completely comfortable treating me that way. As someone who owns businesses and works with the public every day, I know customer service isn't about being perfect--it's about treating people with respect, especially when there's a misunderstanding. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. I love supporting small businesses, and I even create content to help local businesses grow. I truly wanted to continue supporting this one, but after being spoken to and treated this way, I won't be returning. I'm sharing this review in hopes that management addresses how customers are treated, because no one should leave a business feeling embarrassed for simply asking a question.
