The menu still looked good so I stayed. Olivia was my server and she was great. Super knowledgeable about the menu with great suggestions. I wanted the brussel sprouts but was a little reluctant because of the beets. She said it was good and give it a try. I glad I did what a treat. The brussels were lightly fried. The real treat was the flavor profile. The bitterness of the brussels, pickled sweetness of the beets, creaminess of the goat cheese with the crunch of the pecans....wow. So good and it was lightly dressed with the pickling liquid. I went with the jerk salmon for the entree. The salmon was cooked perfect and had a nice crust on it. It was served with a citrus (mango forward) salsa on top of jasmine coconut rice. It is all a great idea and the combo was good. Only feedback was the red bell peppers seemed out of place and took away from the dish and the jasmine rice was a little too bland. I could taste the hint of coconut which was good but some seasoning or a touch of salt on the rice would have paired great with the salmon and orange glaze. The European delights that I used to pilgrim towards were yanked from my dreams like a lusty rabbit looking at a carrot. Enter Aji. Years later, my heart has begun to mend as delightful wine and a sweet couple have brought a much needed pop of culture to Greenville. Miki and Kevin were both wonderful hosts tonight; knowledgeable about their servings and treats which made my wife and I ooh and ah (looking at you chocolates and biscuits). The feel is modern and clean, cool and uptown and somehow relaxed at the same time. They also have picnic tables outside to sit at. The fact that they are dog friendly is an extra bonus for us. Because the shop is small and the owner is extremely knowledgeable, Savi's is like having your own sommelier just down the street!
