It was a long line the food was pretty good only thing I didn't like was that they left my bacon off my plate so I had no meat just pancakes when trying to call back could not get an answer But overall pretty good food I would come back again with my babies

Terrible food and so-so service! What brunch restaurant IN THE SOUTH runs out of grits, biscuits and BACON! That should have been my first clue! No hostess came to seat me. A lady at the back waved me to a table. I ordered the Eggs Benedict w/out onion and hash browns. The hash browns were cold. The muffins for my Benedict were not toasted. There was a half a slice of Canadian bacon on each muffin. Was there a supply chain issue!? I try to support local, but I've never been so thoroughly disappointed in a restaurant. My suggestion: go to Waffle House instead (which I did). Way overpriced for what you get! ($13 for my meal)

I gave my work colleague a choice between two restaurants for breakfast and he picked this one. The place was easy to find and they had a few tables available for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We were promptly greeted and seated. The menu was quite simple for breakfast consisting of two pages. They did put more of an emphasis on pancakes as they had a few different selections like a blueberry pancake or a sweet potato pancake. I went with the Hungry Man which was two eggs, one bacon, one sausage, grits, a pancake and a biscuit. I paid extra for gravy to take that biscuit to the next level. I'm not a huge fan of grits but I rarely eat them. I gave it a try since I was in NC. The food came out at an acceptable pace. The staff was on top of coffee refills but the service wasn't entirely friendly. The food was OK as is most breakfast places. The prices were on par with what I typically pay in CA. I was just passing through and am not likely to return to the area; however, if I do return to the area I will likely give a different place a try. Three stars!

Stopped in for breakfast today. We had a bit of a wait, maybe 30 minutes, but it is Sunday and most places are packed after church. I had the Veggie Delight with a side of bacon and the Triple Fruit smoothie. I was happy with all of it. I would have liked more hollandaise sauce but didn't ask for any additional. Overall it was a good meal.

Very good food! Came out very fast. I had the French toast and bacon. They have a typical breakfast menu. Sunshine was a great waitress.

Such good breakfast. The link sausage was some of the best I have ever had. Definitely will be back.

A lot short staffed. But the waiter was really nice. Food came out quick. The apple cinnamon pancakes were really good. Affordable

Very slow to be seated with many open tables. Slow service. There should be more than 2 servers on a Sunday morning.

I'm honestly surprised that Starlight Cafe still operates the way it does. The menu has been the…read moresame for years -- and not in a "classic staples" kind of way. It just feels stagnant and uninspired. Nothing new, nothing seasonal, nothing exciting. If you've been once, you've basically seen it all. The food itself was bland and boring. Dishes lacked seasoning and creativity, and nothing stood out as memorable. For the prices they charge, you expect at least some depth of flavor, but everything felt flat. Service was also slow, even though it wasn't especially busy. We waited far too long for basic things, and the staff didn't seem particularly attentive or professional. There was a noticeable lack of urgency and overall polish. Overall, it feels like a place that hasn't evolved in years -- same menu, same energy, same issues. Unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to expectations.

We ended our amazing dinner sharing an incredible white chocolate bread pudding. The place is kitschy & cool, taking full advantage of a busy storefront display. The service was perfect, not too invasive or pushy, just the right amount of southern hospitality and menu knowledge (we got the steak sauce on the side and the amazing dessert as suggested!). We look forward to returning.
