The Hot Honey Chicken special with pimento cheese was an easy 10/10. The fried green tomatoes were another standout, sliced to the perfect thickness with a great crunch. The beans and rice were packed with flavor, and the fried chicken was excellent. Even the Thai Chili BBQ deserves a mention; it's a must-try, just don't let the name fool you because the heat sneaks up on you. Add in the unique artwork and atmosphere, plus the great service, and you've got a restaurant that's worth a detour if you're driving through Durham. I'll definitely be back.

Very nice atmosphere, well thought out design inside and out. Very friendly and efficient service…read more I see where they won the best southern food in Durham from Indy in 2025. While the food was good, it didn't knock my socks off. And they're definitely more of a creole restaurant than a southern one. There are better cajun/Creole restaurants in the RTP area. I was going to order the creole gumbo, but found out when I came in that it was a seafood gumbo today not their regular one. Oh well. So I ordered jambalaya with a side of red beans and rice. Both were good but a little dry and I've had better nearby. The fresh catch of the Day was Amber Jack, and I love that fish, so maybe I should've ordered that in a Poboy. Might come back to try some of their other offerings.

Creative and fun cocktail list? Check. Varied and unique sides/salads? Check. To top off the fantastic food, the service is always perfect. Everyone knows the menu backwards and forwards, and truly love what they're serving. When you're at Seraphine, you're getting an experience. As far as specific food recs, try the shrimp & grits, Boudin sausage, Frenched chicken breast, pickle plate, and Beignets. But I have a feeling anything from their menu is stellar.

It was a little confusing finding the restaurant and the hosts kindly walked me through how to get there. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive. They frequently checked in and made sure my water never got too low. I got the broiled oysters drogos style and they were AMAZING. There was so much parmesan cheese and the garlic butter was so good I could almost drink it. I just wish I got more bread so I could enjoy the cheese and butter more. Not that it matters too much but I was expecting charbroiled oysters on the half shell like in New Orleans, but these oysters come already shucked without the shell. The NC Catfish on the other hand was good, but not great. The catfish was crispy. The beans, rice, and pork were perfectly cooked. However, the meal tasted very bland and underseasoned, which was so surprising for a New Orleans inspired restaurant, and the pork portion was extremely small

Food: honestly, the food had started going down hill, which is why I rarely came anymore. However,…read moreit was good last week when I came with my nephew and great today! Best crab legs I've probably had! Taste and flavor: I got the garlic butter, medium, it was delicious and flavorful & I will definitely get it with the lil kick in the future. I used to always get mild. Freshness of ingredients: hubs says the crawfish are super fresh & best he's had. Crab legs and shrimp (head off) were great. Portion sizes: always just a tiny bit too much or you'll feel like you're gonna bust wide open... But at least you get to eat whatever tastes the best to you. I left a potato and a half. (lol) Presentation: it looks cool when it comes out marinating in your chosen sauce in a bag. My bag had a hole in it, though, so I ended up with butter on my shirt Menu variety: not an absolute ridiculously huge variety but there are several options seafood and non Service: Typically leaves a lil to be desired. Granted, if you get a meal it typically all comes together so all you'll need are drink refills and maybe salt or pepper. But, I get a lil antsy when my food is getting cold & I'm waiting for drink. Attentiveness of staff: see above Friendliness and courtesy: Everyone is typically polite but no one seems to go out of their way to make you feel special or anything. C'est la vie. Knowledge of the menu: I didn't ask any questions... So Idk? Speed of service: great! Food came out super quick & was delicious Ambiance: it's pretty cool, I guess Atmosphere and decor: I dig the decor & it follows a nautical theme Noise level: average Lighting: not so good, honestly. I'm fairly sure in a few years I'll be stuck using my phone flashlight to light the menu Price: kinda expensive, but worth it - unless you're getting all you can eat, then moderately expensive, maybe or maybe not worth it, depending on how much you can eat... Value for money: pretty decent, I mean it is a lot of food Price point relative to quality: lines up imo Cleanliness of the restaurant: always seems clean Accessibility: easily accessible Location: easy to get to, sometimes hard to turn left out of, but relatively a good locale
