We choose to order our food to go. The place looked very clean and the staff members were very friendly. The place was a little busy so it took 10-15 minutes for her to get back for our order. We ordered pretty simple, just single patty cheese burgers with fries and drinks. This location has self service soda fountain. Food maybe took 15 minutes to get out which was fine, we had good conversation. All our food was good and service was nice. We were able to walk up & sit outside with our pup at a table and have a waiter come outside to take our order. Short wait, food made fresh to order. Fries were a little greasy for us but some people like them that way. We had plenty to eat with the Cheeseburger Special that came with fries and drink for just under $10. Waitstaff came back to check on us & re-fill drinks. We did need to go inside to pay but that went pretty quick and only required one of us. The waitress can't take the bills. They need a check out and an order line. Red and silver vinyl chrome chairs and vinyl banquette seating line the wall giving customers a throw back feel to the 1950's. Tables socially distanced during Covid. Super friendly young staff. Burgers arrived in a timely manner, hot, melty cheese and with all the toppings requested! They apologized for not having their regular fries and only had crinkle cut. Found this one-of-a-kind eatery on a recent drive back from Florida. I love one-off places and try to avoid chain fast food. The challenge is in the name of the place so I ordered a cheeseburger medium with all the fixings (except for jalepeños) along with fries and a soft drink. My gf ordered a cup of coffee with cream and a ham & egg bkfst sandwich. The service was very hospitable and we sat on fixed stools looking out the window, into the parking lot. The place was very clean. The food came out very hot and fresh, my gf fully enjoyed her meal immensely and I have to admit the cheeseburger was one of the best I've had in terms of freshness, taste, and structure. It was good till the very last morsel. The fries were incredible and they seemed to hold their heat for a long time - nice, but I don't know how they do that. I worked in Wilson for 3 years and ate here at least once a week during my time in Wilson. I now travel to Wilson for a Best N Burger. The staff while busy do their best to keep up with the traffic. Sure sometimes you have to wait but it's well worth it. The burgers are great with a nice char, smash burger type. a tasty mound of fries and a coke and I'm in a food heaven coma . The store has a 60's retro diner feel and personally I like it. I'm amazed at some of the negative views, including the lady that tried to insinuate that the staff was racist which seriously the dumbest thing I've read about this place. Half the population in Wilson 49.5% is black, 36.4 white, 8.62 other. (according to world Population Review) So their goes your race baiting theory that they're racist. It's a shame that they had to deal with you. So ignore the negative reviews from those that live in Virginia and DC that are traveling back to their miserable lives, they complain about everything anyways. Have a Best N Burger and enjoy!
