Situated downtown Wilson, this new venture would make an outstanding pizza spot on its own as it is undeniably great pizza. Service was stellar and it was an easy in/easy out dining experience. As for ambiance, it's bipolar. An unclear mixed bag of what the business actually is - Smack dab at the entrance immediately upon entering is a 3-in-1 hostess station-ticket exchange counter for kids-cash register that morphs at a 90° angle inward into a wall of liquor with TV's above a bar. Front and center is a handful of tables, beyond is the semi-open kitchen and on the left is a widened entry into a 1980's-1990's arcade games room. Don't expect Dave & Buster's caliber of games or intentional segregation of adults only vs family acceptable zones. Good potential for preteens+ to ride their bikes to and grab some grub with their friends if the booze wasn't so dominant. There may have been a bicycle rack outside, I cannot recall. I can see this as a spot for families to go for a kid-friendly dining spot and for those who don't mind eating amid kids being kids in a kid-friendly place as Downtown Wilson continues its quest to clean itself up. Worth a repeat visit later in the future as it should be interesting to see how this business evolves, similar to the rest of the immediate area, once it finds its stride and nails down the demographic that is its bread and butter. read more

Would have been a 5 star rating BUT the kitchen cost them the extra star. Food took a bit longer than it really should have in my opinion. Waited 20 minutes for my food. Two people in the kitchen area making food so there shouldn't be an excuse. The place is really nice on the inside and quieter than I expected with the Arcade attached to the restaurant. The food was great. The wings are really meaty and not those tiny things you get at other wing places. The pizza was a thin crust that was a little overcooked for me but still very good. Being from NY, my husband is always on the hunt for a good pizza. So one of my co-workers recommended The Hub downtown Wilson as a good place to go. We went all out and ordered The Works, extra large! It was loaded down with pepperoni, sausage, onions, peppers and more. The size was very generous and the crust was nice and crispy. Let's just say, we both were very pleased. For all of the ingredients that you get, the pizza had a clean taste, not salty which ranks high in our books! The price was reasonable too. Picked up pizza to go from next door at Casita. Only pie option is 20 inches. Crust was good and NY style. Toppings were fresh but mushrooms ordered were almost nonexistent. When you order via phone, they call you when it is done which was about 30 minutes on a Saturday before 5 pm. Coming from Greenville, we always come to the Hub during soccer tournaments here in Wilson. The pizza is absolutely top notch with a great bar selection. The bartender Taylor is sweet as pie. I recommend anyone in the area to come enjoy the food, beverages, and entertainment for kids (arcade within spitting distance from the bar/tables). The hub gets 5 stars from us. read more

My 3 rating is based solely on the food. The service was a 5. The waitress was friendly and courteous. The location was clean and well maintained. The garlic knots were good. The dough was a nice bread. Due to their size being slightly small they were slightly more cooked than I'd have liked. I ordered a plain cheese slice. This is my standard for a good pizza. If you can't make a good cheese slice I don't care about your fancy slices. Coming from NY I am looking for the best non-NY pizza I can find. I am giving this place a solid 3. we came to the hub with small children who loved the arcade and the pizza was awesome. we had great service from start to finish - Bryan was our server and he was so friendly and did a great job taking care of us. the only things I'd ask for is the addition of French fries and dessert pizza on the menu!!! read more
