I'm surprised this place has 4 stars. Although it does have a nice divey feel where the lady at the counter will know your name if you come often enough, the burger was pretty bland and the buns were wayyy too big. The crinkle cut fries were delicious but not so different from the Ore Ida ones you can get at your grocery store. I don't like writing bad reviews when I had a good experience but the food just doesn't live up to the 4 star rating that's been bestowed on this location. Ok, so after watching some food tv on best burgers in America, we decided to hit of White Rose System on our way to Atlantic City. In all, it was an ok burger, nothing to fanciful or amazing. I got a burger with grilled onions and the bf got the jersey burger which is a burger with ham. Mine tasted like a good ol fashioned fair burger and I didn't try the other since I was already stuffed. There was a lot more bun than meat, but they were pretty cheap and really friendly. Stopped in after reading the reviews. I didn't realize it was counter service only. the staff was nice, but only the person that took my order actually spoke to me first or made eye contact unless I asked for something. Everyone was nice enough, just not overly friendly. I ordered the chicken tenders special and lemonade. The whole pile was lacking seasoning, unless you count too much pepper in the chicken breading. The fries were just ok, the tenders were a bit overdone, the onion rings were straight from freezer to fryer, and the lemonade was from powder. I wouldn't call this comfort food. This place is the last of a dying breed. When you walk into this place it's like walking back in time 50 years. It is not pretty, everything there looks greasy; the counters, the floors, etc. However, it's great. Quintessential New Jersey. The burgers and fries are some of the best I've ever had. I usually just get the burger and fries but I've had the chicken fingers, taylor ham egg and cheese sandwich, and hot dogs and they've all been pretty good. So my boyfriend and I found this little neighborhood gem, we go back for a turkey or chicken club every now and again. I thoroughly enjoy the grill cheese and he likes the turkey club or chicken club or burger club. When we go we usually eat here late night since it is open 24 hours. To be honest, everything I have had here has been delicious. I try not to go too often because its heart attack food if you know what I mean. This place is definitely my guilty pleasure! The best "garbage" food around. And by garbage I mean crispy French fries covered in melted cheese and gravy. Or oh so buttery grits with a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. It's amazingly tasty but I'm certain no good for your diet or your arteries - hence "garbage." This is one of my favorite places to go for late night snacks or an indulgent breakfast. I prefer this place better than the white diamond in Clark but they're a close second. read more

The famed " Double Double", two beef patties with cheese, fried onions and pickels is among the greatest burger i have ever had. I used to get the small cheese burgers until they changed the type of roll they use. You can order pretty much anything you want here from breakfast to late night burgers. No it's not the ritz, it's a shithole with the tastiest greasiest burgers fries and breakfast you can imagine... And that's what it's supposed to be.. If you are expecting a fancy meal go elsewhere, if u want drunk good then go to white rose period end of story.. The small cheeseburgers are the bomb, cheese fries all day BUT Taylor ham egg & cheese is where it's really at.. It's cheap, as it should be.. No delivery, usually I take out but sometimes eat in if it's not too crowded which at 2-4 am on a weekend usually is.. If you've never been to white rose, go for breakfast or when u can take a nap after.. It's amazing and a staple in my community..
