Went on a saturday morning and it was very busy, but we were luckily sat without having to wait. I could tell how popular the place was just from the full parking lot. The seating area is kind of small so the tables are pretty close together. Server was pleasant and the food/drinks came out fast. The french toast was amazing!! I ordered biscuits and gravy, which came with potato wedges and eggs. I also got a side of bacon and a coffee. The eggs were very bland as if they didn't put salt or anything else in them. The biscuits and gravy were just flat out bad. The biscuits were under cooked and borderline gooey. The gravy was nasty. It tasted like grease and flour.. I know the basic of gravy making, and this didn't suffice. It had scallions in it, but it was very bland and greasy tasting. The bacon was too salty and the plate was dripping with grease. Th potato wedge things were the star of the show. They were actually really good. The service was great! Very friendly and attentive staff. No complaints there. The ambience was also very good. The decor was nice, and the energy in the building was really good. It was full, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. I just didn't like the coffee. My complaint was food. I only ate about half of a biscuit, a few bites of eggs and most of the potatoes.. I also ate a few pieces of bacon. Walking in here it was busy but I got a warm, personal welcome from who I believe is maybe the owner. Even if he wasn't the welcome was super inviting. The ambiance is homey and cute. The service was a tad slow but it was busy and I did have a big party of 8 which they accommodated very well. The food was delicious. I think even the sugary dishes were pretty well balanced. My friend and I visited on a very quiet Friday morning for breakfast. Neither of us had been here before but that is going to change. We were provided a very friendly and warm greeting upon entry. My friend ordered the chicken and waffles with two eggs over easy. I ordered the brioche French toast with bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and a side of sausage. The Belgium waffle had two big pieces of fried chicken attached and the portion was huge. My French toast consisted of three thick slices of brioche bread with plenty of fresh fruit covering it. The sausage was two fat links. Tasty and cooked fresh. As a coffee snob, I would say it was very good. Very extensive menu for breakfast with plenty of options to eat healthy or to adhere to your dietary restrictions. The service was excellent and very friendly. The prices were very reasonable. My husband loves the hamburgers! He says it's one of the best burgers he's ever had. He usually gets the kitchen burger, and I always get the brie burger. Like many others i was tricked by the "reviews". We decided to do brunch here , which wasn't the best idea. We both ordered waffles, I had chicken and waffles. BAD OPTION, the "chicken" was actually an over breaded greasy CHICKEN CUTLET. the breading basically separated from the chicken by a coat of mush and slimy stuff. The waffles texture was like an old sponge and had an odd taste to it which I tried to drown out with syrup. The first beverage I ordered tasted awful , not knowing their version of a "half and half" was unsweetened tea and pink lemonade kool aid. The glassware they use as cups had a raw foul odor as if the dishes & cups were washed without soap. The waitress asking "how is everything?" , was more routine than someone really interested in fixing the situation. The turkey sausage my lady had was bland and the eggs were over cooked with no flavor. We were asked once again when we requested the check if "everything was alright". I honestly responded "No" to our server and explained to her. Her response was "Oh well" , then she walked off to charge my card. An older woman returned with the receipt and my card said thank you and walked away. That was our cue. We left there and went elsewhere for a better brunch. Costly lesson learned! read more

We love this place. Sadly there's a bit of a "diner desert" in the area. This place is a total gem. When they opened, they fought the diner stigma. This is not something that should be fought, rather it should be leaned into... enjoy it! A good diner is hard to find. I usually get breakfast here, and the combos are always great (fantastic waffle). I went for lunch as well, the short rib sandwich was as incredible. My only complaint... no French onion soup!
