    Hangover Sandwich

There is something about a good Jersey Diner that hits the spot for me. I came to the Westfield diner for the first time and I wasn't disappointed. I ordered the hangover sandwich which was a Taylor Ham, Egg & Cheese Sandwich between French Toast and I got tater tots as my side. I was surprised by the taste because I wouldn't have thought of using French Toast as the bread for the sandwich because when I normally eat French toast it is drenched in syrup but it was delicious and super filling. There are some honorable mentions below in the photos of some of the other dishes that were tried by others I ate out with. From the looks of it everyone enjoyed their food and plates were clean. The service was good as well. We had the sweetest waitress.

My wife and I love patronizing diners when visiting any new area. Westfield Diner didn't disappoint! The food was delicious! At first I was going to order breakfast (for dinner), but something kept telling me to get the Fire Gyro. A perfect selection, the meat was so tender and hearty; as was my wife's Cuban sandwich. We both agreed the fries were cooked perfectly too. Loved the clean diner feel; it was very inviting and the staff were very helpful and personable! We'll definitely be back!

This is an incredible place. I usually visit the Westfield Diner every time I am here. Hold for more detail.

The food was very good and the service was excellent. The waiter did a great job and the staff at this diner were amazing. This is the kind of service anyone can appreciate whenever you dine out everywhere. I'll definitely be back soon to dine here again.

Evil for 3 stars.... This diner was lit and awesome. Great split pea soup and fish and chips (they homemake their chips??) and pancakes. Alan and i sat next to a table of like 20 grandmas and grandpas having dinner, it was amazing. Decor is so cool, decaf coffee was flowing

It's crazy overpriced. We had our 3rd baby. We got pick up and delivery the last year. Most of the orders were strong. The food is mediocre: the diner is old and needs a remodel. It's a hard no.

Everyone in NJ has their diner and Westfield diner is ours. It's hard to fault it, maybe outside of its somewhat high prices (Millburn Diner a few towns over is a better value). The service is always speedy with that classic NJ diner "charm," the food predictably good - and you can get literally anything. My daughter lover their Belgian Waffles. And their interior? A classic dated NJ diner. What more could you ask for?

    Staff Singing Happy Birthday

We are regular customers are are always happy with our experiences there. Tonight, we took my friend out for cake and coffee to celebrate his birthday. The staff overheard what was going on and they brought over ice cream with whipped cream on top with a candle and sang happy birthday. We were all surprised and very happy with the fuss and attention to the customer. We'll be back again soon.

Nice, local, family-friendly diner with your standard diner fare. At first I thought the menu was pricier than expected until I saw the HUGE portion sizes. The dinner specials are especially worth it - it includes soup/salad, entree (+ some entrees include additional sides), and dessert, which more than comfortably feeds two people. We brought a few overseas friends here, and they always get a kick out of the portion sizes. I don't think I've ever left here without leftovers!

Diners are plentiful in New Jersey and not every diner is same. The Westfield Diner appears to be a staple of the area with average diner food. The extensive menu of Westfield Diner leaves the guest with plentiful of options. However, this comes with a cost to quality with some menu items. Nonetheless, I tried the bueno dias platter which was okay since it was a quesadilla with eggs, bacon and cheese. The home fries needed seasoning as they were bland. The blueberry hill pancakes have an interesting description on menu stating the pancakes are topped with egg whites and a beef sausage. The results were blueberry pancakes that were good with a nice strawberry butter, egg whites and a beef sausage on the side. The blueberry hills pancakes were decent pancakes and I enjoyed the strawberry butter. All in all, it's an average diner in my opinion and is worth a try if you are in the immediate area wanting diner food.

Place is solid. Menu is not over sized. Selection is still great though. Consistent family environment. Love this place

A local realtor friend told me she had been here on a few occasions and loved it. She wasn't wrong. My friend and I visited on a Thursday morning. A wonderful greeting as we walked in. It's quaint, charming, and no frills. My friend ordered the lemon blueberry crumble pancakes and a side order of scrambled eggs. I ordered the French toast with berries, bananas and a side of sausage. Of course, coffee. As a coffee snob, I would say it was very good. Our orders came out hot and fresh with huge portions. The lemon pancakes were plate size and with plenty of tasty crumble. My French toast consisted of four thick slices covered in plenty of berries and bananas. My sausage was cooked fresh and not sitting on a griddle for two hours. The service was excellent and friendly. You will be impressed with the creativity of the menu items. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion size. There is ample parking in their private parking lot. It was my first time there and I'll be back soon enough!

The diner is inside a classic boxcar and not much has changed since opening - which is the way it should stay. The service was great and everyone was friendly and accommodating. We arrived around 12 PM on a Sunday and waited about 10 minutes for a table. They don't have high pairs but they have booster seats that worked just as well. We ordered Taylor, ham, egg, and cheese on a roll, two pancakes with scrambled eggs, and the front toast plate that came with eggs and sausage. Taylor ham, egg and cheese on a roll was standard and good. The French toast was tasty. The pancakes were very, very good. Definitely order these! The diner is no-frills. It's classic food served the original way. It really feels like an authentic New Jersey establishment and I love that it hasn't changed.
