I can only review the Greek Salad with grilled chicken, because that is all I've ever ordered. I go there specifically for the Greek Salad with grilled chicken (and anchovies -- you can order without, on the side, or on top). It has always been great. Coffee is good, too. And, I'm picky! Service is always friendly and efficient. And, I love the traditional NJ diner feel. Parking can get a little tricky, but I usually get lucky if I drive around a bit. Parking is metered. read more

I always love an old local diner. This one definitely has an old school feel to it. I came here to kill time while my husband was getting knee surgery last week. Plenty of parking on the street and the everyone who worked here was really nice from the waitress to the woman at the register. The breakfast was served quick but the food and coffee were mediocre at best. It did the job don't get me wrong but it really did not wow me and felt the portions were pretty small here. Definitely a one and done for me, especially this neighborhood where there are a ton of food options. read more

Came here with my wife for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Didn't have to wait which was perfect and was seated rite away. Very cozy breakfast diner. Food was made to order and came quick. Service was good and didn't have to wait for coffee, they walk around refilling your glass which is great. Definitely worth trying out if you're in town. read more

Second visit, first visit was also a bad food experience butI wanted to give them another chance. Gyro was awful. Chicken tasted boiled, not grilled. Yogurt on the side instead of tzatziki, and even that was plain. Pita was cold and chewy. Zero flavor anywhere. Server showed up to take the order and drop the check, nothing in between. I love classic NJ diners. Our first time at Vicki's as kids have off from school. We all loved it for lunch. My patty melt with fries and tasty onions was gigantic. Kids loved their pasta, grilled cheese quarters, mozzarella sticks, and fries. Classic meals were all on point: grilled cheese with tomatoes, turkey club, tuna melt. I like to order tomato juice at a diner and loved it was served in a large glass, nice and cold. Red Formica and classic booths make for a classic diner look. Our server was quick and friendly. Thanks to Vicki for creating this nice eatery in downtown. Fun! read more

Westfield diners are super pricey. I don't get it. Two grilled cheese and a french dip $46. The grilled cheese was basic. The chips could be house made but they are just ruffles. The side salads were good. They didn't include our side dressing; fail. The french dip wasn't seasoned but bread and au jus was good. After all this I picked up the order and she asked for a tip. I love coming to Vicki's Diner! The selection of food on their menu is great as well as their service. There are seats to accommodate 2, 4, and possibly 6 or 8 at the window as well as seating at the counter. Our server was very attentive and brought us our drinks and took our order in a timely manner. Everything was done precisely to our wants like my dressing on the side and extra pickles. I really like them there. My wrap was filled with a good amount of turkey and the lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were very fresh. My man had the Happy Waitress and he was very pleased. I love that I can walk here because like I soad their menu is great and everything in between. read more

I don't know why it took me 11 years to visit again since I live in the next town over. That's embarrassing, especially when I had a really nice experience on both occasions. My neighbor and I visited on a busy Friday morning during the holiday season. I still love the retro look. I ordered the French toast with bananas and strawberries, a side of sausage patties, and coffee. My friend ordered the Vickie's deluxe breakfast with the Belgium waffle. My French toast consisted of three thick slices of what appeared to be challah bread with a healthy dose of fruit. The sausage patties consisted of two medium sized patties which were cooked fresh. As a coffee snob, I would say the coffee was very good. My friend loved his waffle and everything that came with it. Two empty plates went back. The service was extremely friendly and very good. There is ample parking on the street and public lots around. The prices were very reasonable. I promise not to wait 11 years again to visit. read more

Vicki's has been one of my go-to eateries for well over a decade now. During the COVID lockdown their operations suffered a bit, but they have more than bounced back since then. I mostly have breakfast and brunch here, and from that lens this diner offers everything you could want. First, the design of the diner is beautiful, emulating the old diner cars from decades ago with polished silver walls and bold red panels set against them. Most of the seating features booths of various sizes and they have outdoor seating as well. I love the staff at this place. The owner is always fun to chat with and the staff is courteous, friendly and efficient. I often get omelettes here and the occasional burger and they're always fantastic. Huge portions, well prepared and delicious. I've maybe had one disappointing meal in all the years I have visited (and even that was not so bad). Vicki's is fantastic. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and visit! read more

Came here to take a stroll around and check some stores out. Saw this place and every time I come here it's always busy on the weekends. First time here and was greeted by friendly staff! Ms. Helen was the hostess and she sat us down. Super nice!!! The waitress was also super nice! We came at a perfect timing a little after the lunch rush hour. Got the eggplant rollatini with linguini and my mom got the tuna melt sandwich with Greek salad. Both plates were portioned perfectly! Not too much and not too little. I had the potato soup and it was delish! Not salty! Mom said the Greek salad was good! The eggplant rollatini was good! Not salty just right! I didn't finish the linguini (bc ya know watching my carb intake lol) but I would definitely go back there! I loved the old nostalgic ambiance. Like the cooks were right there at the countertop! I eat here at least once a week. It is a Westfield tradition! Great place for breakfast. The Vicki's special gives you coffee, pancakes or French toast, two eggs any style, and sausage, bacon or Taylor Ham--my favorite. The staff is great and the restaurant always has tremendous energy! read more

Service was good. Wasn't super impressed by the food. I got an omelette and it was dry. The busboy wiped the table while we were sitting there so crumbs flew onto our laps. The iced tea tasted like there was no tea in it. Overall I wasn't impressed. Won't be hurrying back. Although I must say the staff works their butts off. read more

Outdoor seating these pandemic days, but it's a comfort to know that I can rely on Vicki's Diner for my usual matzo ball soup and bacon. Their Belgian waffle is consistently satisfying. And they never neglect to fill up your coffee cup, if you want more. Their staff is attentive, but not intrusive. As summer ends, and before winter comes, outdoor seating is best. Classic diner in the middle of downtown Westfield. I've been a few times for brunch or lunch as I think it's probably one of the better diners in the area. A few FYIs: no parking lot, usually a wait for a table on weekend mornings (though wait never has been longer than 10 mins), closes at 4pm on Sundays. Huge diner menu w/mostly reasonable prices and huge portions. A huge fan of their omelettes which are piled high with potatoes. Food is served very quickly but you don't really feel rushed by the waitstaff. My gyro was pretty good and came w/your standard delicious diner fries. It was pretty big portion for under $10. read more

This is a classic diner and they make you feel just as classic. Food is top notch diner fare. The atmosphere is a time capsule with no TV being a big plus in my book. I do think they close a little early (7:45 PM ) . There is good bizzniss to be had on a Saturday night at 10 PM. They should consider staying open later on a Saturday night. read more

We arrived to Vicki's Diner around lunch time. It was busy, but there was still plenty of booths and tables available. Atmosphere: There are very few diners in the small towns of NJ. It's fun to see a diner on a Main Street. It's metallic and shiny and stands out in the storefronts. The inside is what you imagine in a diner. There are plenty of booths, tables.m, and they fit a lot in a small diner. Coffee: The coffee was brewed hot and fresh, and was tasty. They brewed it well and one of the better coffees I've had. Food: Vicki's Diner has everything a diner typically has. There is plenty of breakfast, lunch, and even dinner too. I wasn't sure what I was in the mood for. Then I saw there was a "jumbo salad" designed for two people. When I see a salad that is designed for two people, I always think it's a good salad for me. More often than not, I've been disappointed with a salad size. I ordered salmon on it, and I was happy I did. The salad itself was good but could have used more toppings. The only thing that made it a "Greek salad" was the feta cheese and onions. It lacked toppings like pita bread as well as olives. In all, it was good, and the size was perfect for me. Most people would have to take some home. My issue with the salad was how it was packed. It was stuffed into a tiny bowl that looked pretty but once you attempted to eat it, it made a mess. I wish restaurants would use more practical dishes to plate food. If it barely fits into a bowl, how am I supposed to eat it? Service: The waitress was kind, and the food came out quickly. I couldn't have asked for a better service. Overall Thoughts/Summary: I liked Vicki's Diner, and if I'm in the area, I'll be back. Westfield is one of my favorite small towns to walk around. read more

I have been to this diner several times, it is such an old-fashioned, good-feeling, chilling out place. The service is fast, not the friendliest server, but works super fast. The food is nothing extra special but is very comforting. I love their waffle, I don't know why but it taste so awesome! Their burgers are pretty big and nice too. The owner is always around, checking on tables, chatting with customers, welcoming everyone, which is really sweet. Be aware: it is CASH ONLY - there are few places to get cash from ATM. The first time I went, I didn't know this, and realized AFTER I already ate my lunch...and I didn't have Debit card either (only credit card). They were so sweet to me, and told me to just bring the money sometimes that week, or mail to to them if I can't go back there. They didn't make me feel bad at all, and of course, it made me want to go back again and again! read more
