Ahh was craving deli sandwiches. Found this place on my way home. Stopped in and was greeted with friendly service. Place was clean and felt clean. Staff were super friendly. Really appreciate that since sometimes you don't know what to get right away. Ordered half size of an Italian sandwich, a Ruben sandwich, and half size of a turkey. All sandwiches were BOMB! Soo fresh and tasty! Had some of that big bag of kettle chips and it was good! Would definitely come up here to grab a sandwich or something hot like soup next time! I popped into Warren Deli & Grill yesterday for a bite to eat before I walked into work; it's on the way and I have known about it, but have never walked in. WDG is a local run, modest deli that does what it does very well! By the looks of the menu, they have some personalized options. This gives it a boost in my opinion because it tells me that they have an identity within the community. Not to mention, they have been around for a while. It was before 10 and I was craving a breakfast sandwich and I went for the "belly buster," basically a complete breakfast on a roll: eggs, bacon, sausage, taylor ham, cheese, potato hash on a hard roll. I added SPK and hot sauce. I was left completely saucy and content. Most importantly, the sandwich was well-composed and stayed intact from the first to the last bites. If the only criteria for a good sandwich was that it does not fall apart, then this was a good sandwich. Add the filling, I'd call it an ideal breakfast sandwich. Based on my first and only visit, I'd like to give it 5 stars, but -although they made a great sandwich- there isn't a wow-factor. I think 4 is fair for now. read more

This is a small unassuming deli between Watchung and Warren. The decor is a little dated, but who goes to a deli for the decor? You go for the food! Lots of menu options! There's definely something for everyone. I posted some pictures of the menu. They also deliver, and have online ordering. The service is excellent, the food I've ordered so far was terrific (bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich), so I'm happy to give them 4 stars. I'll be back! read more

This morning was my first time at Warren Deli & Grill. I called about 20 minutes ahead and picked up a sandwich. It was a grilled chicken sandwich with fresh mozzarella cheese and spinach. I got there expecting my sandwich to be waiting for me because there was only one other person there. I paid and then was told my food wasn't ready yet. I didn't understand why not because I called twenty minutes ago, but said at least it wont be cold when I get it. (sike) About 5 minutes later I got my food, drove about 3 minutes to work, opened my sandwich and it was so cold!! I even had one of my coworkers touch it to make sure I wasn't crazy but this (What i expected to be hot or at least not so cold) was cold to the touch. The chicken definitely hadn't been warmed up because the cheese wasn't melted at all. And the spinach was cooked, but still... cold. I could have simply microwaved it, but as I kept eating the chicken seemed a little gummy and was also tasteless. This $9 sandwich was a waste of money as a threw it out. Nice little deli place which serves breakfast and lunch. They have so many choices in the menu that I didnt know what to order. They have specialty sandwiches here, wraps, salads, even soups. What caught my eye was their specialty sandwich called "Long Horn", it was some type of steak chopped in small pieces and layered with mozarella cheese! That was good. Went in on a Friday afternoon. The submarine was good but insanely overpriced. Got a whole roast beef and provolone sub, order of fries, and a tea. The total came out to to $19 and change!! I had the bistro wrap recently and within the first hour of eating it, I got violent food poisoning. I should have gone with something not cooked like a PB and J instead. Good food all around! Confession: I eat here every other day. There is nothing that they can't do well. Breakfast and lunch are amazing. I routinely get their pancakes which are always light and fluffy. I often pick a selection off their daily specials menu and am never disappointed. I've had their Chicken and Quinoa Salad which is amazing! Also I've never been a fan of chicken salad, but I cannot ever pass up the chicken salad at this place, it's perfectly mixed with huge chunks of chicken. Pretty good little deli located right in Warren. It's pretty much your standard breakfast/lunch deli complete with a solid drink and chip selection. All delis should have a good chip selection and this one delivers. I especially like the "Joe's Jalapeno" chips. They have a pretty big menu with breakfast, specialty sandwiches, wraps, regular sandwiches, paninis, etc. You get the picture. My wife and I came here and we split their "Super" which is basically your traditional Italian sub. Everything was fresh - bonus points for using shredded lettuce and extra vinegar. It's amazing how much better shredded lettuce can make a sandwich. The knock I do have against the sandwich is that was a little on the bready side (in other words, the meat to bread ratio could have been better). But, it was definitely a solid sandwich and I would order it again. I'll give some other sandwiches a try on future visits. They do have some tables for outdoor seating and the parking lot isn't very big and there are also a few tables to eat inside. Absolutely love this place! I eat here a few times a month. I have a few favorites on their regular menu but try their specials once in awhile as well and have never been disappointed! I also had them cater a luncheon at my home a couple months back- trays of wraps, subs, and specialty sandwiches, pasta salad, etc.. there was such a great variety and everything was fresh as can be and delicious! I work in the area so my office orders lunch all the time from here, sometimes breakfast. Everything here is quality!!! Everything on the menu is delicious plus there are daily specials. The soups have been very good, too. It's basically a take out deli as there are only a 3 small round tables for 2. At lunchtime it can be very busy(depends on the day), so it's best to phone in your order then pick it up or delivery is available. Our office does both. Everything is fresh and you can watch the guys make sandwiches and lots of times I'll be thinking, "Hmm, I should have ordered that!" :):) The menu is great because it's so varied and I love the multigrain bread. Only issue might be that there is no bathroom for patrons if someone needed one. To me, this is really the best deli in Warren! Good work, guys! :):) read more
