My last night's dining experience at this charming pizza place was way more than my expectations so I must write about it. It had long been a suggestion of my 20-yr old daughter that this place was an awesome place for oak-fired pizzas supplemented by seasonal Italian dishes. The interior is rustic-chic. Near 5-star ratings/reviews by people who have dined there pretty much speak for its great food/ambience/service altogether. I let my daughter navigate through the menu; I only glanced at it to see what would catch my eye as a meal accompaniment beverage for the night. My daughter's familiarity with this establishment is because her best friend works there. Here are three things we ordered: -Burrata: medley of cherry tomatoes, basil and olive oil. You must order vinegar/fig sauce on the side as this will change your whole burrata experience! -Asbury Park Sour: this was probably the best bourbon based cocktail I've had in recent years. Despite its appearance, this drink only has a hint of sweetness. Perfect drink for a beautiful patio dining in mid July; so refreshing!! -Cannoli: my daughter's best friend (who works there) said that the restaurant makes the Cannoli shells. The perfected right crunchiness of the shell amazed me as I bit into it. My daughter is not a huge fan of Cannolis in general but she loves theirs. I can see why!! read more

White Pie sits comfortably just west of City Park. On a rare gloomy day in Denver, I met my buddy for dinner and a beer. The neighborhood pizza parlour is beautiful space with brick walls, high ceilings and an outdoor patio. Long time listener, first time caller. I've had White Pie bookmarked for two years and finally made it in. Apparently Mondays are the day to go, because all pies are discounted at $12. Definitely do not miss out on their Monday deals and specials! Additionally, the White Pie Lager is made especially for them by Station 26 Brewing. This was the perfect accompaniment for a carb heavy meal. Garlic Cheese Bread -- Mozzarella, Pecorino, Garlic, Garlic Butter, Calabrian Chile Oil, Parsley. $5 during happy hour and worth more than every penny. It's like a mini pizza before your pizza. I'm all about doubling down on savory. Nothing not to enjoy here. Porky Porkorino -- House Red, Mozzarella, Sopressata, Pickled Chiles, Hot Honey. One fine pie if you ask me. Sweet and salty flavors married wonderfully together. The mellow heat was a nice touch. Honestly I could've used more spice, in my opinion that would've taken it to the next level. Family owned, from scratch kitchen, all dishes fresh out of the oven. What more can a fella want? After one visit, I'm sold. If the other pies are as good as the Porky, White Pie may be a top contender in Denver. Can't wait to carbload and try them all! read more

I usually go with a plain cheese or margherita pizza for comparison purposes when trying a new pizza place, but White Pie made that seem impossible with so many fun pizzas on the menu. The decision was tough, but I ultimately went with the white pie...how could it not be good when it shares a name with the restaurant! With creme fraiche, mozz, garlic, bacon, mushrooms, and a sunny side up egg, the white pie was unlike any pizza I had ever had. The combination of flavors was really fun, and the crust is some of the best I have had in Denver, but prepare yourself for one rich pie. I ordered online for pickup and my pizza was hot and ready exactly when White Pie said it would be. The $14 pie deal on Mondays is hard to beat! I can't wait to come back and try some of the sicilian pies, the house puff, and some of the other signature pies (I am eying the Ava Angelini). read more

White Pie had a comfortable feel and great food. My group got 2 pizzas and a salad which was the perfect amount for 4 people. Both pizzas were light on the dough which was nice as it was not too heavy. They also had the perfect balance of cheese to sauce. I see you, White Pie! Just out here being one of the best pizza places in town with your hip location, hipster brick interior, beautiful oven, and friendly servers. Baking up delicious New Haven style pizzas at around 900 degrees is White Pie in Uptown. These oval-shaped pizzas come with plenty of burnination, just the right amount of chewy, and flavors that will make you wanna slap yo' best friend's behind. When you go to White Pie, get the White Pie. It's one of the best white pizzas I've ever had, and I honestly think it could be one of the best pizza recipes in all of the Denver Metro area. Its garlicky flavor, mixed with egg, and just the right amount of cheese and shrooms is truly like manna that fell a few minutes off Colfax. Our server was great. Pizza and salads delish. Corona protocols solid. Love me some White Pie. read more

We came right at the start of happy hour on a Friday and it was surprisingly empty! We came here because we heard it's a great New Haven style pizza spot. From a New Yorker living in Denver and a former New Haven denizen, white pie is where you want to go for za (blue pan is great too but it's different and heavy af). This place is five stars in its own way separate from New Haven and ny style pizza. Separately, Tobin might be the best server I've had in Denver in 7 years of living here. Nice to feel part of a neighborhood vibe. read more

Stumbled upon this gem on a random Sunday night with a large group of friends (7!). We were looking for a nice, warm place to eat at that we didn't have to wait too long, and luckily, we were able to sit down right away at White Pie! It was such a pleasant surprise as well, as its super cute inside -- warm, cozy, but with some clean modern finishes. I loved that the large pizza oven was the focal point of the restaurant, so you could watch as they were getting baked. The food itself was also reasonably priced and delicious! Would highly recommend going for the sicilian style pizza -- its a thicker crust and more of an in between of a focaccia and regular pizza. Its filling and sooo good. Their regular pizzas I found to be too much on the thin side. Would recommend their house greens salad and the spicy G sicilian! read more

5 stars for white pie. 1 star for grub hub. I've dined here in house and the food and ambience is first rate. But when you add grub hub to the mix, well you get cold pizza. Period. I'll start dining in. Grub hub doesn't deserve a penny. read more

I'm always excited to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood, but when White Pie first opened and I checked it out, I was thrilled. The food was good, and the interior was sexy (great date night place), and I started bringing out of town friends by to show off the Denver scene. In the summer, the small but private patio also made for a good place to grab a happy hour drink with a book or a friend. Since Covid has hit, I've gotten delivery twice, and it's been delightful as well. The package deal is absolutely amazing. It's a totally complete 4-course meal for two, or when I'm alone I can occasionally exercise self control for a few meals. Regardless of how you approach it, I will say the burrata is out of this world, the salads are gigantic, the pizzas are thin, tasty and absent regrets, and I even love the cannoli. (I'm not usually a fan, but these have so much extra going on flavor wise--lemon in particular, that it's hard not to be impressed). I've had a number of the pies and really would recommend them all, but the White Pie is probably my favorite. As someone who isn't usually the biggest meat fan, the 3-meat was also pretty tasty. I will say, despite not being too far away, it usually takes me about an hour for delivery, so I'm trying to target takeout going forward. Given the pizzas are thin, they do cool off quickly, but you can keep them on hold in the oven perfectly at 200 degrees while you enjoy all of that appetizer action! read more

4.1/5 - beautiful ambiance, friendly service and a cool bar that provides a full view into the pizza making experience. Shop- this is a restaurant. Brick walled, industrial, classy. Very Denver in the coolest way possible. The bar is a half circle surrounding the kitchen and a large wood burning oven. So pretty! Pizza makers show their skill just 3' away from you. Cool vibe, I love the layout and feel 5+/5 Structure/crust - they say they're New Haven influenced, I don't get anything near that. If anything it's an East Coast bar pie; cracker thin, crunchy and well sauced. The dough was pretty, I enjoyed watching them carve each ball from the box. They roll out the dough to a 10-12" circle and leave very little crust. This is not New Haven, think Jersey bar pizza. 4/5 Sauce - milled plum tomatoes and some salt? Not bad, fresh...no depth, but I realize that's not where they're showing their stuff. 3/5 Cheese - I chose the mootz, a cheese pie with some basil. Great cheese profile; I think they throw some pecorino on top for a bite. The basil was fresh and aromatic, great add to the flavor profile. I like the cheese here. 4.25/5 *note, their chili oil provided great additional depth to the pizza. Beer was decent, the place started jamming around Happy Hour. I get the sense their fancy pizzas are more exciting - I see this as a great date night spot to try something new. Beautiful location, friendly folks...I'd be back again. But New Haven this is not, so don't go in with those expectations. read more

The food was sub par, the service was slow and the waiter and management was rude. We spent over 150$ on food and drinks. After we paid the bill we asked for a ranch to go. They then brought back a recipe trying to charge us 50$ for ranch. With the amount of money we spend over all we should be given a to go ranch for free. The management lady was very rude trying to pressure me to pay for the ranch. I asked why they didn't charge for ranch with the meal but charge for a smaller one to go? Her reply was ridiculous, will bot be giving them my business any more. read more

White pie is one of my favorite restaurants in Denver! The service is extraordinary everyone is so accommodating and welcoming! The food is a MOUTH-GASM the pizza is creative, delicious, they keep the classics while throwing in seasonal pies because it's how us Coloradans rolls! I've tried 75% of their pizzas and they NEVER disappoint. The happy hour is THREE HOURS- THANK YOU You get me...My people the menu is just right offering seasonal Frose which don't knock it until you try it.... They properly catch up to you. Oh and the raspberry frose is tits! Tart bright and damn good! The foodie offerings are just right from garlic cheesy bread- say less and if you wanna be fancy YES get the charcuterie board - 2 cheeses and meats with lovely accoutrements. Save the sauce for your pizza pro or fat kid tip- you choose. Cheers happy eating read more

Probably the best pizza I have had in Denver. This little shop on Humboldt has such amazing pizza. Top quality ingredients and fantastic taste. The variety of pizzas are also pretty amazing. I tried the pepperoni which had the perfect ratios of everything. It also had the little pepperonis that curl up and create little bowls with the ends charred. We also tried the White Pie which was mushrooms, garlic, bacon, creme fraiche, and an egg on top. The Mootz was done perfectly and the Porky Porkorino was brilliant with the contrast of the honey and sopressata. My new go-to pizza place! read more

White pie deserves 5 stars right off the bat for being so accommodating by moving my reservation for 9 people up at the last minute to help us out with a scheduling conflict! Once we got there the service was 10/10. Everyone who works their is so friendly and helpful. We've only ordered out from here in the past and I was surprised at how small it was inside (and even more grateful for being able to squeeze us in), but it made it so cozy and quaint in there I loved it. We started out with a round of Limoncello shots and they were soooo good. So good that majority of us ordered the limoncello lemonade as cocktails and again they were delicious! (I will say they could have been a bit bigger though..) For food we did shareable amongst the whole table so we could try a little bit of everything. We started off with the Cesar salad, the lil salad, the brussel sprouts and the narrate. Everything was so fresh and tasty but the Cesar was the star of the show in my opinion. One thing that was super helpful in regards to sharing was that they were able to put things on the side for us (ie.pepperoni so the vegetarians and meat eaters alike could share). We tried the Mootzy, the burrata banger, the Paulie walnuts, the garden pie, the Ricky ricotta and the Spicy G. The Spicy G seemed to be the fan favorite along with the Paulie walnuts (who doesn't love hot honey and/or mashed potatoes on their pizza?!?!) we all left stuffed and beyond satisfied. Dare I say it, but I think the Spicy G (minus the pepperoni) may have been the best slice of pizza I've had in Colorado to date!!! It was also my fiancés birthday and they have him a complimentary drink (I think due to a wrong poor but still so sweet) and we're so accommodating with bringing his favorite dessert with a candle in it! The cherry on top to all of this was that we all ate and drank our faces off and we're shocked by how reasonable the bill was. (One thing to note is that they do add gratuity to the bill. Something we didn't realize until the next day so we accidentally double tipped and even so the bill wasn't outrageous and honestly the staff were so incredible we weren't mad about it!) Do yourself a favor and try white pie. You won't regret it! read more

There's no photos of the pizza, for a good reason. No time for evidence, must devour. House puff - ya gotta do it. Who doesn't love a giant air filled carb glory overrun with butter? We decided to bike for pizza because who does not love pizza? The bike ride was worth the end result. The atmosphere is hip - white wash bricks, wood (plants needed water) with indoor and outdoor seating. There was a big fire brick oven so you know a charred Neapolitan style pizza was in the works. We ordered an Asbury Park Sour and a frose - their cocktails do not break the bank (thank you) and are spirit forward (double thank you). So delish. Meatballs are the backbone for all Italian as is sauce so we ordered the meatballs and they did not disappoint. I honestly think they stole my recipe with the exception, I fry mine for a nice crisp outer and then soak in sauce. I am being picky here, but I kind of wish the meatballs and sauce were hotter ... maybe a few minutes in the brick oven? We order the 3 meat pizza and it was a typical New Haven pizza. Thin and crispy crust from edge to middle which I prefer over a typical Neapolitan style pizza and toppings to the crust. My only comment would be less cheese and more of your delicious sauce. I love Cativella so it is no surprise that I would love WP. On a side note, a couple next to us ordered the burrata and they were licking the bowl. I will be coming back! read more

What is with the uncomfortable seating? I liked the food alright, but the service was an afterthought, and the decor is whatever comes next! Shrug. Calling burned pizza New Haven style is a stretch of the imagination. 14 for a protein-less Caesar and 11 for a brownie is some of inflation at its worst. I wish I lived closer so the thin crust would stay crispy for takeout or delivery. The noise in the dining room and coming from the kitchen makes it hard to hear the person sitting across from you. read more

This place is amazing. Super thin and light pizza, dim lit atmosphere with the wood fired pizza oven as a showcase. You can sit at the bar and watch it all being made right in front of you. My only critique is maybe the pizza could be a little crispier on the bottom, but it was still delicious and is one of, if not my favorite pizza place in Denver. I'd almost describe it as New Haven crust/lightness with Neapolitan interior. read more

The White Pie is delicious it's different and unique the perfect amount of garlic sauce with an egg in the middle. They char the pizza perfectly. I also love their buratta and drink menu not too pricey. I recommended their happy hour bruschetta too but it's only available at happy hour. It's not "authentic or traditional but like their pizza it's okay because it is beyond delicious. It totally hits the spot. My fiancé also loves the meatballs. This place is good. We came here bc we heard it was a top pizza spot in Denver. We arrived at 11am for lunch and we're the first ones there. We ordered drinks, cauliflower app, Ava Angelini, Mootz, cannoli. I will be honest, we are not only foodies but pizza connoisseurs... this pizza was good but left us feeling like we've had it before. Nothing special about it. We brought home the Mootz leftovers and it tasted better later than it did there. I would pass on the cannoli... maybe I'm not a cannoli person... that was the worst part of the meal. I would not be back. Service was great. read more

Extremely disappointing experience here. I debated whether or not to write this review but this was the 2nd night in a row that we've had a very similarly disappointing experience at another restaurant just a couple blocks away (check my previous review). I lived in New Haven for 5 years and was really excited to bring my girlfriend here and for some of their New Haven-style apizza. We both had to work late yesterday and pulled up White Pie's website to double check their hours. Closes at 10pm, awesome, let's go. We drove 30 minutes from Lakewood to get there, arrived at 9:20pm, and were turned away at the door saying they were closed. I understand it's annoying for restaurants when customers walk in 10-15 minutes before closing, but turning away customers that have come a long way to patronize your establishment OVER HALF AN HOUR before your posted closing time is unacceptably poor hospitality/customer service. They said they sometimes close early on slow nights to let their staff go home early. I'm not begrudging them that, but the problem is the COMMUNICATION. Let's look at the website of a competing highly-rated pizza place in Denver, Pizzeria Lui. Big ol' banner right at the top of the homepage that says "We will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 3pm until 9pm, or until we run out of dough." This properly communicates to the prospective customer that they might close early. Whereas White Pie has no such notice on their website, they apparently run a policy of "maybe sometimes we'll close early but do nothing to communicate this to potential customers who drive over 30+ minutes and then we'll turn them away". The pizza here is good. The white pie is creatively delicious and the mootz is one of the closer renditions of New Haven pizza that I've had this far west - the distinct char paired with bright, tart sauce. However the business side of things and customer communication needs a lot of work. read more

On the search for my new fave pizza place, I ventured here to give it a try. We were able to get seated right away on a Saturday evening. They have indoor seating and some patio seating. We walked over but noticed that it would be street parking. The restaurant was cute with planters hanging from the ceiling and the walls. Lights are dim so definitely a great date night vibe. As I read the menu, it mentioned that the pizza is New Haven style. Hello? Music to my ears. I was so surprised to even think that a restaurant in Denver Colorado would know what Connecticut pizza is all about. Our waitress was super nice. We asked her few questions on the menu and she was answering it very knowledgeable. We decided to order a pizza (duh) - mootz pie but also a pasta dish just so we can see. We got spaghetti and meatballs. Both dishes came out at the same time. We were given small plates to share. The pizza was great. The crust was delicious. Thin, crispy, but still chewy. Yum. The cheese was so good which def makes the pizza. It's stronger than most mozzarellas used in other pizza places but if you love cheese then you'd love it. The spaghetti was made with bucatini noodles which we like thick pasta and the meatballs were amazing!! I had a fave meatball but this may have replaced it. It was tender and melts in your mouth. Throughout our experience - different employees helped us. Kept our drinks full, cleaned up plates, and checked on us. We were impressed by how friendly every single employee was! When we got our bill - they gave us a card for BOGO margaritas next door so pretty awesome. So now we are excited to try the Mexican place especially if it's a sister restaurant. On the walk home, we talked about our continued exploration of pizza in Denver and my BF mentioned why try others if this one was so good! So yeah, we will be back again and again. read more

Let's just say it: the vast majority of us love a good piece of pizza and are on the never-ending quest for the perfect piece. Right? So I've had White Pie on my list of places to try for literally a couple of years. Last week I finally ran into the opportunity to meet a friend there for a beer and a slice. And we spent a lot of time talking about the topic you frequently talk about when you try out a new pizza place: how it compares to the best pizza you've had and where those other places are, and when you ate there, and what you had, blah, blah, blah. Nonetheless, it was fun and the pizza was excellent but not mind-blowing. It's thin crusted new style (high oven heat quickly made one-person pizza) and a bit pricey. They do however have the right kind of high-end pizza oven (by the same oven maker that did the one at Cattivela's I think) and their toppings were fresh and creative. Had the arugula, mozzarella, and prosciutto pie, but there was nothing about it that took it to the interstellar level. Now this isn't by any means a criticism or a snarky review. White Pie makes excellent pizza and will be on my list of reliable very good places for pizza (and they have a nice beer list), but I'm still on the same quest we're all on...the seemingly eternal hunt for the perfect piece. THE ATMOSPHERE Such a cute little place with exposed brick walls and lots of wood and dim lighting and lots of plants. Feels cozy and like a great neighborhood spot. And their house wine is delish! APPS We had the wood fire cauliflower (with pumpkin seeds and romesco), and it's now one of my favorite cauliflowers in Denver. Love the slightly spicy romesco -- it really makes the fish. THE PIZZA My first time at White Pie, and I LOVED their pizza -- especially the house favorite: the White Pie (crème fraîche, mozzarella, garlic, bacon, crimping mushrooms, sunny egg). Thin crust with so much flavor going on: cheesy and creamy and salty and not overpowered by any one thing (like tomato sauce -- but I'm clearly a white pizza fan). I'm pretty picky about pizza, and I would eat this any day. Our second pizza: the Porky Porkorino (love the name) -- with house red sauce, mozzarella, sopressata, pickled chilis, and hot honey. I've never had pizza with honey on it before, and I can't say I didn't like it! I still prefer the White Pie, but it was still delicious and tasted more like the pizzas I've had in Italy than around Denver. read more
