She always informed us about any deals going on, and if we needed anything else she would always hook us up. I wish I knew that managers name, I just know she was mostly there around 11 pm - 1 am. So i went thru the drive thru and ordered A southern bacon double combo. I swear i literally waited behind one person in line and it took 20 min. I drove off and didn't get my food. Went next door to wash my car and the lady was still there. I don't eat gluten and there was NOTHING on the menu I could eat for breakfast except salad and who wants salad for breakfast? I got an egg & cheese "tacquito" (really a burrito) and just ate the insides all of about three forks full. Certainly NOT worth $2.50, I also ordered a side of hash browns which were more like mini tater tots all 5 of them, wowie zowie, such a deal! Speaking of Mexican food, it seems some fast food places don't know squat about Mexican food. Taquitos are made with corn tortillas, filled with meat, tightly rolled, and fried crispy. Flautas are like mini burritos with just meat made with flour tortillas and fried, similar to Chimichangas which are full sized burritos filled meat, cheese, beans, eggs or whatever. This is our local Whataburger and we are frequent customers- mostly at breakfast. Over the last few weeks, the quality of customer has been reduced to almost non-existent. A couple of weeks ago, the drive thru due to some type of maintenance. Okay, no big deal. Go inside, customers are standing around waiting and the employees are standing/wandering around behind the counter doing NOTHING! An elderly lady appears (assuming she was some type of manager), makes a lap around behind the counter, says nothing and disappears back into the office. Today, we try again. When we get to the window, the employee proceeds to quote us the wrong order. Upon correction, she hands us our drinks (correct) and closes the window. Another employee comes and again, quotes the wrong order. Because I now have my receipt in hand, I can see that they added and then subtracted the next customer's order on ours. I explain this to the manager who has now appeared and she begins to berate the employee right there without closing the window. I had to suggest that she do that behind closed doors (window), at which point she closes the window. Then, the girl who originally gave us our drinks tried to give us more. SMH! ‍. The manager said we'd been over charged by sound $8 and then I had to explain to her why that amount was not correct. It was only $1.50. As someone who has years of service and process management I was about to jump in there and start running the show myself! What is going on? New ownership? New management? Get it fixed!! Slowest service, consistently!!! Plenty of staff, most standing around doing nothing. One burger and fries took 36 minutes! As I said, this is not the first time it's taken way too long; however, it's never taken 36 minutes! They were moderately busy but not overly so. The excuse that "we make our burgers when ordered, as you want it" is ridiculous. Unless they are also butchering the cow, too, shouldn't take 36 minutes. If the staff is trained and efficiency and speed is the focus, it should take about 5 minutes tops to prepare a burger and fries!!! Ridiculous!!! read more

I waited so long the 3rd car just left and the one in the middle actually turned their car off. I bought food for me and my bf. I was lucky I got everything I ordered but half his order was missing! It's almost disrespectful how I ALWAYS never get my sauce that I paid for. Every time I order from their drive thru and check the items later something is always either missing or wrong to no exaggeration. I must ask for them to give me the sauce (which I pay extra for) before I leave the window because I know it's not there. Never drive off without checking your bag!! But I ended up not eating my honey butter chicken biscuit. My wife's food was cold. And the server didn't even bring us napkins or sauces as they usually do in their trays. I'm not sure what has happened this past year but they must be under new management. They either take forever, they get my order wrong, or they have horrible customer service. Restaurant was not even busy. We ordered 2 apple pies and 1 lemon pie through the drive thru. Got home 3 minutes later at 7:50 pm. Toke out the pies and all 3 have stickers saying "cooked at 1:27 pm, use by 3:27 pm". I immediately call restaurant to ask why we were even given these pies. The girl who answered the phone spoke using poor grammar and mumbled which made it difficult to understand her. We asked about the times on the stickers and her first response was "the pies are still good you can eat them. Then she said "you can come and I'll make you fresh pies". When asked why these were even given to us, she again said something we could not understand then she went silent. We asked to speak to a manager and again silent. After several awkward seconds, another lady who said she was another manager immediately said "you were not suppose to be given those pies". She also offered for us to go back for fresh pies. My group overheard him complain for something to do. CLEAN OUR TABLE. Food came out LUKEWARM. Had to argue with associate to talk to manager about getting a burger that wasn't getting cold... they decide to get me a burger and it came out hot and fresh... unfortunately things went down hill from here We watch an employee walk from the kitchen with gloves on outside... and back in to the kitchen with the same gloves on... having touched the door handle with said gloves. I immediately put my burger down and walked up to the register to ask for a refund.... the guy that had the contaminated gloves proceeded to argue with me and started YELLING at me about whether or not he made my food. The manager didn't stop him or say anything and let him yell at me for several minutes before popping open the cash register to give me and others in my group a refund... no apologies or anything and never looked at me. So I do like Whataburger. The burgers are always good, the shakes are huge and delicious. However, this past time I tried the breakfast. My dad and I were short on time for our usual Sunday after church breakfast and decided to go quick. We ordered a couple egg, cheese and sausage biscuits and got a plate of pancakes and bacon for the little one. They food came out promptly, but unfortunately, the cheese was not on our biscuits. My dad took our food up and the guy at the counter was very apologetic and took it personally. He rushed the correct order out to us, checked back with us several times and even offered us free apple pies. It was the best service I have received at a fast food restaurant ever. We felt so taken care of! The food, of course, was delicious and this place is open 24 hours. A 24 hour place in Rowlett? Super awesome. read more

I live 5 minutes away. NOTHING should have been cold and surely not hard. Then I checked the sandwiches and YEP! No cheese on either. The damned things come with sausage, egg, and cheese on a bun. Well, obviously not on Tuesdays. Tuesday's are "Silver Dollar Panckette and Incomplete Breakfast on a Bun Day." All served cold and hard and we hope you enjoy the wait while we get your order wrong. We'd previously stopped coming to THIS location and now we remember why.....slow horrible service, rude manger so don't asked too many question. A loaded burger ended up with mostly bread very light on veggies, hardly any mayo/mustard. I think they weigh there veggies which ended being Brown lettuce and mostly the hard inner core of the lettuce, not green or leafy. Fries were limp and cold. If you are capable of charging me $16 worth of food and then not being able to give me $8 worth of it you deserve to be fired and you should not be working. Every time I have come to this location it has been slower than a snail, and every time I have come here my order has been messed up or missing at least one thing. I love Whataburger but this location today prompts me never to return. Floors were so greasy I almost slipped. When I reported it, the young man at counter debated fact with another employee. My husband demonstrated how he could spin and slide on the floor. The solution the employees devised - a single yellow cone over the large greasy area. There were 8 employees and only 6 customers. The employees were cleaning tables but nothing else. One new hire was sitting beside the first cash register watching (training?) videos on a tablet. Definitely should be done at a back table and not on the serving line while ignoring customers. read more
