I think this place is great, but man, some of the customers here can be so rude! I was waiting on my order when I watched some lady come in and start yelling at the manager. Apparently, as I heard the manager tell it, the lady had grabbed the wrong order and that they would be more that happy to remake her order. Instead of realizing her mistake she just kept yelling about how pathetic they were and that she would not be coming back. The manager kept apologizing and was more than nice to her, but she was ridiculous. Props to these five guys for putting up with it! The manager even came over with a smile on to ask me how everything was and refilled my drink after that ordeal. That's real service, folks. I'll be back ASAP!!! Great burger and love the Cajun fries. The burgers are large and in charge, and there is no extra charge to have all different topping. Sautéed mushrooms and onions are a must. Be prepared for a mess, the burgers are moist and can drip if you're not careful. A order of small fries is more than you get at any restaurant. You can't beat the value and taste in Rockwall. The staff is always friendly, and if you have a smartphone you can order online. I will say the times I have done that, the burger was not made till I got there. On the plus you can sit there and snack on ball park peanuts while you wait. Like I need that many more calories. read more

From the time I placed my order until I got to the window, it took about 15 minutes. That may be normal here, but I would not call it fast food in the usual sense. That said, there are signs everywhere saying everything is cooked fresh and made to order, and if that is true, the wait is a fair trade for hot, fresh food. Sitting in the drive through was actually a cool experience because you can see into the kitchen through the glass. It was interesting to watch the team work, and the kitchen looked very clean and organized, especially considering how busy they were. I ordered the Animal Style meal since everyone says that is the best way to do it. It was about$11 which feels pretty reasonable these days. I also liked the packaging. The burger came wrapped in paper, and it made it easier to eat in the car without making a mess. As for the food, the burger was above average for a drive through restaurant. It was served hot, and the vegetables tasted fresh. But compared to a genuinely great hamburger, it was just okay. The biggest thing holding it back for me was the patty. It needed more seasoning, and that alone would have taken it a long way. The fries were the weak spot. They were overly salted, almost too salty, and they were not very hot by the time I got them. They ended up feeling like average fast food fries. Overall, if you are craving a hamburger and choosing between typical fast food options, this is worth a stop. I would take it over most chains, though I would still pick Five Guys if I wanted a better burger.
