The zucchini was cooked from fresh and it was thick sliced but cooked through well. The hot honey sauce was really nice. The season on the chicken was ok not very seasoned. This is a great spot, we were looking for a quick bite and ended up here. We've seen this place before but never stopped. Our youngest wanted a milkshake and boy did they deliver. Upon entering the cashier/waitress asked if were going to order to go or dine in. We opted to dine in and she gave us menus and told us to choose a table. She came over and took our order and even made major suggestions based on our little boy questions and preferences. My husband had a Turkey Burger with onion rings which he enjoyed. I had the veggie burger on lettuce with a side of mixed veggies. My veggies were so well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The veggie mixture had brocoli, zucchini, carrot and onion and it were great. Our younger son had Mac and cheese with fries and a milkshake (Oreo cookie mixed with strawberry) and he loved his milkshake. My hungry belly was very happy with everything it was fed at The Burger Shop. The burger meat was a bit overcooked for my taste but had great flavor and fresh lettuce, tomato and onion too on the classichamburger. The chicken strips were good but way too much breading. The steak fries were amazing and the Buffalo blue burger was just as amazing. Brisket and steak tacos were very good as well. It is an interesting setup. A walk up counter to order to go and table service is offered as well but before you plan on eating in be warned that it was very cold outside on the day we went and almost as cold inside. I'm not sure if the heater wasn't working or what the issue was. Speaking of cold they also offer delicious shakes made with Blue Bell ice cream. Food was ok.... Burger wasn't as good as my previous visits. Fries were decent but over priced for the amount given. Customer service was terrible. I placed an order online and selected the option of ready in 15 minutes. I picked up other food in forney and got to Burger Shop 45minutes after placing an order. I go in to pickup up my food and the lady checks there to go order, notices my order is not ready and proceeds to take a phone order. After being on the phone for 5 minutes with a customer I interrupted her and asked for a status of my order; she says a few minutes. Another 10 minutes and I asked for update that's when she informed me they didn't start on my food until i arrived.... What the hell!! Right after another online order comes in for pick and she tells him the same thing...It will be ready in a few minutes smh. I have been living in Forney for three years now. My family & I always pass the place on our way to beloved Dominoes. On Friday we craved burgers so gave this place a shot. Worst decision. This place is absolutely disgusting! The seating area has obviously NEVER been clean, and I couldn't even fathom the up keep of the kitchen. The burgers are huge in portion size but flavorless. The menu says burgers are made medium rare unless asked otherwise. Don't bother asking because you'll just get medium anyways. The cook has probably never chopped anything a day in their life because grilled onions come in varied sizes from long strands to thick pieces of onion you'd typically toss out. Fries are inconsistent sizes also. Overall just extremely hard to enjoy below average food in such a disgusting environment. First time ever writing a review for any place ever. Drove back 3 times and my order was never right. I ordered just a plain and dry burger.

We went here to try as our goal is to try something new around our area. We knew there was a burger shop near the Domino's that we tend to go to. The place inside is great and has a nice large TV that you can watch sports on. They have a nice big menu and this place is not only a burger place, but it is a bbq place as well. One the sign they sell milkshakes $2 dollars off during Monday-Friday from 2 to 4pm so a small will cost $3 while a large $4 and they make it out of blue bell ice cream. I ordered the guacamole bacon burger. I have tried many in the fast. Burger itself is $10 dollars. My wife got the Hawaiian burger combo which is bacon and pineapple which included a drink and fries. We ordered fried zucchini. Bill ended up being around $33 dollars which is quite high, but hopefully we got what we paid for. When we got home, the burgers were a real disappointment. We wanted medium on our burgers, but ended up being well done and too dry for our taste. The fries were way to salty and I usually do not complain about that part, but it was. The Hawaiian burger was just alright nothing to jump up and down. But we did live the fried zucchini, but definitely not worth it for $7 dollars. The good part was the place was clean, service was good and we got our meal really fast. I wish the other burger place did not close in that shopping center as I prefer that one. read more
