We did not get the side order and because of part of the meal no refund. They are the one forgot to add to the meal and did not double check to see order is good to go with DoorDash. There were likes and dislikes: Lil Bird sandwich - Liked the size of sandwich, the crunch, and seasoned nicely. The coleslaw comes on the side for you to put on the sandwich yourself. Disliked the small amount of coleslaw they give (it barely covered the bread/chicken) Sides - Mac & Cheese and fries were pretty good. Desserts - Banana Pudding was okay. So this is a ghost kitchen inside of Cowboy Chicken. There's a side kiosk to order specifically for Smackbird. It's very good and can get spicy, but this place is slow as all get out. Probably waited 20 or so minutes after ordering to-go. They forgot the side stuff for the order, so had to ask them to put it in the order. There's not many items, so not hard to put everything in it. But on top of it all, this place is WAY too expensive. It's $14 for 2 tenders/fries, $17 for 3 tenders and fries, and over $20 for 4. Funny thing is same exact price for 4 tender meal. Chicken strips just had a lot of seasoning on outside only, no inside flavor. Outside breading could be better. Overall mediocre meal. I got the Good Smack and it was a bit spicy for my taste, but very tastefull. The texture of the chiken remained through the sandwich unlike others that get soggy before you finish. The mac and cheese was ok, it was too dry for my taste. My boys really enjoyed the tenders and the fries were also very good. The Smack sauce is different than all others which makes it unique and delicious! The only inconvenience was ordering. We had to use our phone and the reception was bad. This hot chicken is the only genuinely hot chicken I've ever had. It is legit, and so good! My son and I tried the Hell smack challenge and it is fiery!! I read somewhere that there is scorpion pepper in one of the heat levels, but I feel like there might also be some reaper in there. It is no joke, and definitely not for the faint of heart (or stomach). You definitely earn that t-shirt you get for the challenge tender, although we only got one shirt even though we had two challenge tenders (one for each of us). We also each got a three piece with hot smack (level 4) and another with hard smack (level 5) so we could see which spice level we liked the best. The hard smack is good and would be really challenging for someone without a high spice tolerance, but the flavor of the hot smack is the better one in my opinion. As someone who has tried most of the "hot chicken" places in the DFW area, this is not one I'm likely to highly recommend. I tried two sandwiches, the Goodsmack and Hotsmack, along with the Mac and cheese and dippers (fries). The quality of the chicken is solid, but the actual flavor was lacking. While the Hotsmack wasn't as hot as I would've hoped, the flavor was a bit off putting. The Goodsmack was definitely the better option. The sides were alright, but not enough to make the meal memorable. If you don't have the option for anything else, it's a decent option. I would personally drive the extra distance for a better sandwich... or go to Mary Sue's for better flavor. read more

The chicken sandwich was really good. If you like spicy food go with the hot nuggets, for us we stuck with the fan favorite for our sandwich and it was amazing! The pickles and the sauce really accommodated the chicken sandwich well, great burst of flavors all together. Banana Pudding was also good too. Overall, SmackBird is a must try!! read more
