When I walked in at 1:15 PM on a Monday afternoon and the place only had one customer that was a red flag. Now that I've had their food I understand why. The aesthetic of the restaurant is pretty awesome but they have TVs that aren't on. The music is schizophrenic at best we've gone from country to Hispanic to pop and some other K-pop when I first arrived. We were anxious to try this new place. Forney has needed a spot to get a good burger and we hoped this would be it! We had the double double, the chili burger, and onion rings. Food was great! We were very satisfied. Prices were in line with fast food places but this is much better quality. Since this place is new, they are still learning. For instance, when we walked up to the counter to order, the employee said "it'll be a 20 Minute wait, is that ok?" I replied "I haven't even told you what I wanted to order...." I actually set a timer on my phone and it took only 13 minutes for the food to be delivered to our table. There also appeared to be an issue with their soda machine. Both Dr Pepper and Diet DP were out. The music they were playing kept cutting out, as if the Internet was buffering. Despite these issues we think this place is going to be great! I visited Country Burger last Thursday 9/17 and arrived 10 minutes before closing. I walk in towards where you order and was told we are closed. The sign on the door says close at 8pm. So I ask it says you close at 8pm. The person behind the counter responded "We turn off the grille at 745". I was disappointed and perturbed. With small businesses trying to thrive during these times, why not turn off the grille AFTER closing your doors? More frustrating is passing up all the burger franchises in the neighborhood just to get that type of non service. I wouldn't recommend this establishment. First impressions, not so good. Portion and patty size was decent but everything else was below-average. Veggies on burger were old, pale looking, and drenched in soggy mayo and mustard. Bread was soggy and not grilled. The fries had been sitting around a while, over-cooked, and under-seasoned. They also, messed up the order. For our toddler's burger, we asked for just meat and ketchup, only. They gave us no ketchup, and put pickles, mayo, and mustard on it. The cheese had been melted on, so we suspect it was just sitting there long enough to be just slightly warm. The carrots were exceedingly old and the black olives tasted funny. She did not eat more than a couple bites. Finally on to my meal. You may recall I said I was looking forward to a hot burger and fresh fries. With a chili burger, that's an additional thing that should be hot. The chili was cold. The burger was cold. The fries were at room temperature. I have had fries under a heat lamp for hours that were hotter and tasted better. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. I see no reason anyone should ever eat here. I would say any fast food burger place could do better. The only credit I can give is the vegetables on the burger appeared fresh and the bun was not stale. Avoid. Update: Was looking at my receipt. He explained that he called at 8:40 and they put him on hold for 12 minutes, the owner had zero interest in his complaint. I'm just going to throw this out there.... if you are on the path of people leaving the football stadium on a Friday night, you might want to extend or at least be a little more forgiving on your hours of operation..... and if you state you are open until 9:00pm, you should be available to cook until 9:00pm otherwise mark your hours 8:00pm or 8:30pm. read more

I used to work here until I found out that all the food they serve is freezer burnt and moldy. Also, the owner is racist and doesn't care about his customers.. ice machine has mold in it and he told me to clean it the best I can if it didn't come off then the hell with it. Good food at a good price. It is funny people on here giving it 4 stars, but saying that they love it. It is good burger, and if you want more meat than order a double. They have daily specials that are cheaper than a McDonald's meal, and the kid meals are $4 with plenty of food for my 8 year old with a healthy appetite. We will definitely be going back.
