I realize there's rarely a manager on site at this location, and maybe that's the problem. But they really need a fire everyone who works here and hire some people who are actually willing to work for what they're being paid. Tonight, I was trying to order a deal online, but there was no way to modify the order. I called the store multiple times, and no one answered the phone. I drove to the store, and while the open sign was turned off, there were people inside. So I went inside to ask if I could order, and just specify no onions on one of the pizzas. There was a girl there behind the counter, eating and wearing headphones and sitting on a barstool, ignoring everyone around her, probably including the ringing phone. So a guy came out of the kitchen to take my order. He acted for all the world like he was so irritated that I showed up to order food. They're still open for another hour. Then, even though there's absolutely no one here, except for some people that are already eating, he told me it would be 45 minutes for the pizzas. So I guess I'll sit in my car and watch them ignore other people like the woman who walked in next. Pathetic customer service. Absolutely terrible. They used to have some really great kids whoworked here, but they seem to be long gone. read more

Food was mediocre and when they admitted they cooked us the wrong pizza offered the pizza anyway but they would cook us what we ordered The cook said it was our fault and was refusing to fix it. He obviously hadn't talked to the cashier. The cook just caused a customer to never eat here again. He even came to the table telling us he wanted the wrong pizza back and told me to hand it to him. I ignored him and said if he wanted it to take it. I told him he should never take the pizza back once it hits the table. Good sanitary conditions are not followed here. read more

We ordered a kids chicken nugget meal and cheese pizza. The sign said the nuggets come with fries but the employee said "oh no" and charged me for a separate fry. When she brought them to the table it was chicken nuggets with fries and then a separate order of fries - of course she did not admit her mistake. She asked if that was all, I said no we also ordered a cheese pizza. She had not put the order in for the pizza and we had to wait. When she brought it to the table she said "oh I didn't charge you for that" and walked away. I pulled out my receipt and Yes, she did charge me for that. We asked for an extra plate to share and it was a really long time before she brought it. There was no ice for the drinks. The entire visit was awful and I would not return. This usually isn't my go to pizza place in town, however it's an option that's close by and is still good quality. The staff is very nice as the last two times I've been there, they didn't make me pay for the $5 up charge on the cauliflower crust and gave me a free cheesecake for taking so long (which I didn't think they were), so that was nice. Pretty decent size sitting on the inside, which is good for groups. They have more than just pizza too, they have lots of pasta options. Real chill place for a laid back lunch. read more

I tried, but I made a mistake by choosing to dine there. The people who worked there apparently did not want to be there and their customer service displayed that. At least at the arches, they say "welcome to..." The pizza was a little better than frozen grocery store, but not enough to purchase, regardless of the discount they are offering. I don't normally do this, as someone who has spent years working in the service industry, I get the struggle. It's tough. People make mistakes. Things happen. BUT I really feel like I should warn folks about this place before you waste your money and dining experiences here. I'll try to list all the reasons why... My boyfriend and I wanted a nice quiet dinner on a Saturday evening. We really just wanted some pasta and a glass of wine. We saw that Palio's Forney had posted several specials on their Facebook page. 1. How could you not have a single staff member on a Saturday that is allowed to pour a glass of wine? That's mind blowing to me. But all good. I ordered a beer instead. 2. I ordered a Miller. Without asking, they brought me a Coors instead, because they were out of Miller. Also fine. It was expired. Not cool. 3. The two guys who were working had zero clue about the specials I was talking about. I showed it to them and he just took my spaghetti off the bill, which was nice of him. We tipped 22%. (Even though it's not table service) 4. Naturally they brought out only my boyfriend's food, but not mine because my spaghetti wasn't on the ticket. He also had to go inside and ask for our beers and my food and some silverware. 5. The food was below average. Certainly not worth the money, the wait, the back and forth. Regular plates but plastic forks and knives (??) The inside is decorated cute, but everything else about Palio's Forney is just awful. Everything that could possibly have gone wrong, went wrong. I couldn't have been more disappointed in this experience. We just wanted pasta and wine. At 7pm on a Saturday night, there was only us and one other couple there. I placed an order on the slice app, they offered free delivery, why not. I placed the order at 6:29 pm. They close at 7:30 pm. They canceled my delivery order, my house is an 8 minute drive from this place....... I changed to pickup and it said my order was going to be ready 2 in minutes. Wtf... I rush over there and ofcourse my pizza is now stiff. I opened the box to a "large" that I paid almost $17 for. This was more of a medium and I'm sure anyone would agree. The sauce is sweet, not at all NY style if that's what your looking for. He didn't say hello, how may I help you, he literally stood at the cash register and stared at me until I placed my order. My husband and I happen to be an interracial couple. I couldn't help but wonder if that is why he didn't say one word and was so rude. I cant imagine they would stay in business long, if all customers are treated this way. We waited for our order, and my husband was handed two pizza boxes. Since we only ordered one pizza and two pastas, my husband questioned if we had the right order. He was then rudely told pizza is on top, pasta is on bottom. I then walked up to Jose and asked if he had any cheese and red pepper packets, he looked at me with a disgusted look on his face, once again says not one word and then hands me the packets. At this point, I was over it and commented on how rude he was and then he sarcastically, says you have a great night. My husband turned around and said right back at you. He then shot my husband the finger. Who does that? A manager at that. Makes me question the owners judgement, if they would place someone so unprofessional in that position. The owner was on site, working and training. There were 4 young kids working, looking dazed and confused, like a deer caught in headlights... Evidenced by one the servers dropping off the pizza to our table, not bringing a stand or plates, then once he brought the stand he didn't know how to use it. I asked , "are you new", he responded, "yes, I don't know how to do it". I'm extremely understanding, no biggie.... The pizza was good, service was good considering everyone was new and the owner was training them. I hope the pizza is as good and my time there is just as pleasant when the owner is not on site. The best Italian food we've had in Northern Texas so far! We have been to several places in the area (like Enos) and nothing else compares. The lunch special is an amazing deal: 8" three topping pizza or calzone, side salad and a drink for $12. The salad was big and delicious. The Italian dressing was amazing, so zesty and creamy. We tried the calzone and pizza and both were very good. I love pizza and this was one of the best I've had anywhere. We got the kids spaghetti and red sauce and it was huge. Definitely plenty of food! We decided to get the turtle cheesecake and chocolate cannoli too. The cannoli filling was top notch. Please do yourself a favor and visit if you're passing Forney by 80. read more

I've enjoyed Palio's since the early 2000's at their location in Denton, so I was happy after my move to Forney to see one. Elation was quickly replace with disgust unfortunately. I made an order for a salad, pizza and strawberry cheesecake on a Friday around 4:48 for a 5:48p delivery. At 6:05p I called the restaurant and a very rude young girl answered and said that it would be at least another 2 & a half hours for delivery so I can come pick it up. This is after I've paid for delivery and tip. I told her to proceed with the delivery. It surprisingly came maybe an hour later (still almost 3 hours after I originally ordered). At drop off the delivery person (I believe the manager Tessa) told me that they were out of strawberry cheesecake so they just threw something else in there and gave me half off (why I would need to pay half for something i didn't choose is beyond me). My fiancé and I opened our food, the salad was warm and the croutons soft from sitting out for too long. Our pizza was cold and best of all, the cheesecake they gave me had nuts in it. I have a severe tree nut allergy. At this point I'm livid because they've put my life at risk with something I did not order. I call back up to the restaurant and ask for a manager. Again, the rude girl tells me she's not here and ask what's wrong. I explain the entire situation and she says she's going to have Tessa call me back. I told her that when she does she needs to have their general liability claim information available & refund me for my order and she hangs up in my face. This is the most abhorrent experience I've ever had dealing with any restaurant in my life. Don't patron here. read more

Pretty good little casual pizza joint. The crust is not as thick as woodfire Sicilian, but it is lighter than traditional family-style pizza eateries. And it has a crisp quality that I really liked. This is an updated review after another visit. We were a group of 6 on Wednesday night at about 7pm. There were about 12 tables occupied and a great environment. The food was served faster than we expected, started with a huge salad that a few of us shared. We ordered 3 medium pizzas - the King, the Greek, and the Buffalo Chicken. The presentation of all 3 was top-notch and delicious. We finished with 3 of the desserts - the Cheesecake, Canoli, and Tiramisu. Everything was perfect. Great service, was greeted with a smile and happy enthusiasm. Ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, veggie pizza and shrimp pasta. Everything was delicious and my favorite was the buffalo chicken pizza!! My sister is a vegetarian but she couldn't resist trying the buffalo chicken pizza because it smelled awesome and the crust was perfectly burnt and crispy! We wolfed it down and wanted more! Also had the mango tea and it was a perfect blend of tea and sweetness. The price was what I would expect for good food. About $50 for two pizzas . Now...let's talk about dessert! The pizza really is awesome. Best we've had in Forney for sure. But man the customer service is bad. They just kept staring at us when we asked if they had tried one of the pizzas and if it was good. Also the drink machine was not working and after we paid for the drink I asked for a refund and one of the girls said she would get the manager for us. The manager never came to our table... If are looking for seating for a really big party, these guys have got you covered. We've never seen anyone else in there. read more

It's closed from what I gathered. I called ahead to place a order to go and the phone kept ringing and this was at 5pm. Figured they were busy so I decided to drive there and when I pulled up, it was completely dark, no one was inside at all. I don't know what happened, don't know if they are changing ownership or plan on moving the business but there was not a single thing going on. Mind you this was early in the night.
