The crust is AWESOME! Had the basic pepperoni and Detroit pizza on different days. And the crust is really good. The sauce is a little weak. We've been ordering pizza from Mr Jim's 3 to 4 times a month for years. It used to be the best in the area, until they started using a delivery service. Those drivers do not use a pizza bag, so all of our orders are arriving cold. The last one, the pizza tasted like it was sitting in the box on top of the oven for an hour before the driver even got to it. It was dry, stale and cold. We were told we would get a refund, but never got it. Sad to say, we're done going there. read more

Well what can I say my friend suggested this place and I was excited to try because I love me some pizza. We got there and one thing rub me the wrong way, they did not honor the the free Cinstix coupon when you check in. The lady said it expires in 2018. They should take it off or honor it. We ordered the d'lous 3 pizza 3 topping special. It was between regular crust and thin. The pizza wasn't as oily which is a good thing, but flavor wise it was average. We had bbq, alfredo and regular. I've had alfredo and bbq which are my fave at other places and these did not pack as much flavor. Like it was lacking that punch of sauce. Almost weekly customer for the past 2 years... typically order out. In the last three orders, we've had our pizza delivered to the wrong house and this last one didn't show up so after waiting an hour and a half I called and sat on hold for 15 min before I decided to drive in to check on it due to no answer (we live close enough and I left the call going until I arrived.) the one person who was working (very kind and apologetic, I might add) was running around frantic trying to keep up with everything. They stated the order was out for delivery already but I asked for a refund due to the extremely slow service. After talking to I assume the manager I was told there wouldn't be a refund but they could remake the order and would remove the delivery fee. Not necessarily the answer I was looking for after being a consistent customer (almost weekly). Just disappointed... please, do better. Pro: -Completed our pizza delivery faster than expected Cons: -Generally one of the absolute worst pizzas our family has ever eaten (think Cici's quality but more dry and less flavorful) -Disproportionately tiny amount of pizza sauce -Cheese was straight-up burnt, which was a hilarious juxtaposition to the photos of the perfect, gooey, stringy cheese in Mr. Jim's marketing materials -Mr. Jim's Sticks (cheese breadsticks) were physically difficult to eat, as they took major jaw power to take a bite out of yet became supernaturally chewy after clearing this initial hurdle -Cinna Sticks were by far the best-tasting item our family ate, but we were off-put by how spongey they felt in our mouths It probably goes without saying based on how many stars these guys have, but I'd steer clear of this place. All dead men named Jim who were even tangentially connected to the culinary world, pizza scene, Italian food scene, etc. are repeatedly rolling over in their graves as naive consumers continue to give money to Mr. Jim's. The outside of the crust under the edge was burned. There wasn't much evidence of the ingredients that I ordered. I saw a Facebook ad for them and I thought I'd give them a try. Not good at all. I got delivery through DoorDash so I didn't experience their service or their ambiance. I won't order from them again. Little tiny squares of ham (I didn't order ham). Burned pieces of something. I hope they get their act together. I hate to see a place fail. It doesn't even look appetizing. Maybe by spring we can try again. It's too expensive to get burned for your meal. read more

I have a family of 6, and the pizza we get is usually pretty standard. Pepperoni and pineapple for the kids, and my husband and I usually get pepperoni and onions... We made a mistake getting a pizza with veggies and garlic. The kids pizza was fine, as usual, but the veggie pizza tasted... off; it had a very funky flavor. I love lots of garlic, but after my husband and I were violently ill the next day we wondered if they used a lot of garlic to mask the flavor of rotten vegetables. It tasted terrible, but I thought it could be that we got seasoning on the crust which we never usually get. I was pretty unhappy with the pizza. Their website is also glitchy when used on a phone, and after you pick an item it pops up with what else you could order, and it's hard to click out and go back to the menu. I accidentally ordered cinnasticks because of this reason. My husband and I feel that Mr. Jim's gave us food poisoning. We had separate lunches, and we ate the same pizza and were very ill. We know it wasn't just an illness or stomach bug because we have a son with Down syndrome and if anyone has a stomach bug he most definitely will contract it. While we didn't get the food tested, so there's no way of knowing for certain. I'm not sure if the vegetables were refrigerated properly or what was going on, but the entire time we were sick all we could taste was the pizza. I called them the next day and told them what happened, and told them I didn't want a coupon or any money back, I just really wanted them to check their food and see if it was spoiled so as not to make anyone else ill, and the person who answered the phone just tried to argue and say, "Well, no one else has gotten sick". No apology, concern, or reference to a manager. Stick with Marco's, I reviewed them a few months ago. They're amazing. The only reason I didn't order from there was that Mr. Jim's emailed me a 40% off coupon. At this point you couldn't pay for me to eat their pizza. I was at an event for rescue and shelter dogs today. They had the parking lot blocked off, music, food, what a great event. EXCEPT FOR MR. JIMS PIZZA !!! In no way does it make sense for this company to deliver to heartland and not winners circle. I live in Winners Circle and Cameron the Manager told me they don't deliver to my area because it is too far. So I called again and asked about Heartland and he said yes. But on google maps it is one mile further. So I called Marcos pizza and they delivered to us as well as Papa Johns and for that reason alone I tip their drivers $20 every single time. read more
