I did go there when they first opened and I usually get white sauce with spinach and a few other toppings I don't do arugula My pizza went off to the oven and the people at the oven station decided to put arugula on the pizza. I'm like why are you putting arugula on the pizza? I didn't ask for arugula. If I wanted it I would've put it at the building station I hope by now they have stopped just adding various stuff because they feel like it. We have visited Blaze Pizza Restaurant in Rowlett since our Blaze Pizza closed in Mesquite. Driving the extra miles is worth the effort. We have had very positive experiences since our first visit. The manager, Aaron and his Staff are the BEST. They are kind, respectful, perspicacious, courteous, polite, fun and personable. Our friendly conversations usually lasts until the pizza is finished baking. They greet each customer with a smile, respect, professionalism and courtesy. I would give blaze pizza a 19/30. It's cheap and a single pizza will fill an individual. Because it's cheap there's nothing crazy about it, the taste doesn't stand out compared to good pizza but it'll get the job done if you're craving pizza. The worst of the WORST in the Blaze Pizza line. I'm sure that they HAVE to be individually franchised. We tried this location for the first time this evening and it was an expensive and not tasty mess. This place had a smell that wasn't welcoming for all of our senses. This is my first time EVER at a BLAZE where they put a pinch of ingredients and charge per ingredient added. The pizza was basically cheese-less and extremely thin and again expensive. My son didn't eat his pizza at all because it was basically bubbled crust only no sauce or cheese. I will NEVER return here EVER & highly suggest you all NOT go to this location there are many awesome locations that you can get the TRUE Blaze pizza experience. This is hands down the best Blaze pizza in the universe!! I luv that it is open late, and the employees are sooo nice. It's clean and well organized . they are very generous with the portions. I always get extra meat and extra onions, and it's so nice that it's not like an extra charge or anything. I also really like the salads here. First off I want to say the workers there are all so nice and always helpful. The reason for only two stars is that we have been to this location 5 times and of those times our order has only been right once! One time I did remember to check the order before I left and they quickly fixed it. Tonight we ordered 2 build your own pizzas and cheese sticks. The cheese sticks say they come with two sauces, but we got no sauces. One of the build your own pizzas was supposed to have balsamic glaze - NO GLAZE, but instead I had basil leaves on the pizza. I wish I had checked before I left, but just trusted it would be right. I double checked the order and no where did it list basil leaves. I spent quite some time picking leaves off my pizza. They'll get there! As a former patron of MOD Pizza on the West Coast and &Pizza in the Washington DC area, I'm no stranger to these fast-fired pizza joints and I love them! Blaze is no different in concept, but I'll base my review on observations of the crust, toppings, with lesser focus on the service which was slow (the caveat here is that they are brand new. The employees clearly are still learning, and speed will come with time.) A word to the wise - these fast-fired customizable pizza places share one common theme: The pizza is always best right out of the oven. I would not order it ahead, I would not bring it home, I would recommend eating on-site as soon as it leaves the oven. If you absolutely must reheat it, I would recommend a low temperature in a convection setting on your toaster oven or regular oven. 350° max. It is very easy to overcook these crusts because they are so thin. That's how they can cook them so fast after all. Anyone complaining about the quality or quantity of toppings on their pizza really should not be able to make such arguments. The concept dictates that the customer chooses what and how much for each ingredient added. Even if you have chosen one of their pre-determined pizza options and you are disappointed, if you are in the restaurant ordering in person you can specify as it's being made exactly how much of each of the pre-determined toppings you would like. Don't hate the concept, hate yourself for not fully embracing the concept. They offer several crust options: original, high rise, cauliflower, gluten-free, keto. This automatically makes them a cut above places like MOD which only offers three choices: original, a slightly larger version of the original, and a gluten-free. The overall comparison and taste and quality of the crust goes to MOD however. The crust here is thin, crispy, but almost too delicate for the many toppings which I like to add to my "build your own pizza". The slices sort of buckled under the weight of a few different types of veggies and one type of meat: the ghost pepper meatballs I got - the meatballs were really unique and delicious, I have to say! I like that there is a spicy red sauce, along with a more traditional red sauce, pesto, a creamy white sauce. I also like that they check with you about how much of each topping you would like as they decorate your pie instead of just relying on a common measure. Finally, similar to MOD and &Pizza, they have finishing elements: drizzles and my personal favorite - arugula. Uniquely, they also offer a half pizza, half salad or dough balls option (guessing they're like garlic knots) which is great when you want variety or something lighter. And the salads are all build your own, too which is super generous! Give it a shot - overall, you can't be disappointed with a DIY pizza and the service will improve and speed up (hopefully)! read more

The first time was almost a year ago and it took over an hour to get to my home which is 10 minutes away, upon calling I was told they use a 3rd party to deliver(like oh well). It was cold and we were frustrated. Well take two, we tried again and it was again another disappointment, our large pizza maybe had 6 or 8 piece of pepperoni in total on my large pizza. it didn't really have cheese either just sauce and bread. Disappointed to say the absolute least. My boyfriend and I came here, we ordered two pizzas on the same bill. Down the entire line, they kept forgetting we were on the same bill. Not a big deal, just a minor annoyance - bad communication between team members even though they were standing right next to each other. But that's not why I'm writing this review.. not only did they forget about our order together but they forgot a pizza in the oven! I noticed when a few customers in line behind us were getting their pizza before us and my pizza was just sitting there unattended, getting cold. Meanwhile, They left my boyfriend's pizza in the oven (extremely burnt as you can see below) and served it right up to us!!! As if there was no issue at all, no compensation mentioned for a very burnt pizza. My boyfriend is a very kind soul as he didn't want to cause trouble over a burnt pizza but DID decide to send it back after finding a HAIR in his first bite!!! After a few minutes, two employees came out of the back and were clearly frustrated that we were there.
