I was in the area to help my friend with her cats and suddenly had this craving for pizza. Marco's was the closest and this location have a pretty high rating. I sent my order online and here I go to pick it up. They were boxing it up while I was walking through the door and everybody just welcomed while I walked towards the counter. Service was pleasant, and the store is very clean. With your order they'll give you a code for 2 medium pizza with 2 toppings for $10.99 and I thinks that's a pretty good deal for a good pizza. The management and service people are top notch and they give veterans, like myself, a very generous discount if you have a VA card. I called to place an order for 1 medium pizza at 9:40pm. The guy picks up my call but tells me they are not taking anymore orders. Umm you're open until 10pm, why the hell not? 1 pizza takes 8mins for Dominos. If you were not taking anymore orders for the night than why the hell did you pick up the phone? I had to go up there to ask for my refund because the young girl was so sketchy about every question I asked and thank goodness I did, she hadn't refunded or cancelled my order after getting off the phone. I had very high hopes heading into my experience of this place. The photos of the food on Yelp looked so promising that I had to give the place a try. I am disappointed I spent $50 on mediocre pizza, subs, and a meatball bake. The pizza offered fresh ingredients but tasted a lot like a Digorno Pizza. I can't stand pizza that puts crumbs on the crust for texture, as it end up getting all over my hands and adding nothing to the meal. The pizza was also incredibly salty, especially the cheese, and didn't taste very good the next day. The subs were OK but boasted two pieces of meat. Two pieces. I've literally never seen so little on a sub before. The sub bread was incredibly good, so they have a winning recipe if they didn't skimp so badly. The bake was just gross. Salty, dry, and just plain gross. I won't eat here again, not for $50. I can get twice the amount of good at places closer to my home and the food tastes just as good, if not better. Well, I have been a loyal Marcos customer since we moved to Rowlett, ordering at least 3 times a month. But recently customer service has completely declined and since I cannot get ANYONE to acknowledge this- maybe they will read our review and actually give a crap. We never had any issues ordering prior to moving into a new build home (literally down the street from this location.) The employees have told us multiple times that it is too expensive to update their maps and that anytime we want to have delivery or place an order for pickup- we have to call instead of ordering online or through their app. It is inconvenient since they don't offer the same deals but what's WORSE is that we can never get through on their phones. Let me give you a play by play of this evening: My daughter and I were 30 minutes away and wanted to call in an order for carry-out. 5:45 PM- called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 6 minutes until call was disconnected. 5:59 PM- called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 6 minutes until call was disconnected. OK NOW I AM DETERMINED TO FREAKING PLACE AN ORDER BECAUSE OF HOW ANNOYED I AM. 6:06 PM- called and after holding for 4 minutes was finally answered by a girl who I voiced my frustration to of my experience thus far. Told her that I was planning on doing carry out, but now I might as well do delivery because I am basically there. She didn't apologize, or offer any sympathy... just said "Oh really? Well I'm trying to answer the phones as fast as I can." Ok.... well if that is a staffing issue- clearly it needs to be addressed. 6:54 PM- food arrives. Delivery girl extremely nice. After we take it to the kitchen, we realize that our pizza is incorrect. This is after the girl on the phone repeated the order and the delivery girl repeated the order. I look at the receipt and the receipt is correct as well. 7:02 PM- ATTEMPTED to call and let them know about my wrong order. Called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 6 minutes until call was disconnected. SO instead of calling back and waiting on hold, I am starving and frustrated so decide to eat other pizza and try back in a bit. 7:18 PM- Called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 2 minutes until call was disconnected. Oooh this is a new hold time. Are they screening my calls? 7:21 PM- Called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 5 minutes until call was disconnected. 7:27 PM- Called and listened to initial recording then waited on hold for 3 minutes until call was disconnected. AT THIS POINT I'M DONE. Would have loved to be able to let them know that my order was wrong, but that would require actually being able to reach this business. Located less than 5 minutes from my house & today was our first time trying it because of a coupon we got in the mail. I've heard a lot of good things about their pizza & was pleasantly surprised that it was way better than I thought it would be. Yes the prices are a little higher than your typical Little Caesar's & etc, but the pizza was delicious! Online ordering on website was a little complicated for me, but the employee I spoke to was super sweet and helpful We got one topping pizza because of the coupon so it was sausage (and I added feta cheese) pizza & chicken pizza, and although they weren't anything special, they were so yummy so I can't imagine how good their other pizzas will be. What has happened to this place? Tonight will be the last time I order anything. We have had issues in the past but my husband always talks me into giving them another try. Placed a very simple order tonight, 1 large ground beef and green olive pizza. It arrives almost an hour later. Open the box and it's missing the olives. Call them back and speak to a manager. She assures me it will get fixed and sent out. ANOTHER hour goes by no pizza. I called them back and spoke to a male manager. He said the previous manager didn't make sure a driver was available or some nonsense like that. He said he can make a fresh one or credit my card. I said no, I want my pizza! Rowlett Texas location. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 subs at 5:40 Saturday night for pick up. We got there at 6pm to pick up the food. They had the order wrong and only had one sub. She asked us to pull to the front and she would bring it out when it was ready. 20 minutes later I pulled back up to the window and it was still not ready she said "they keep getting the sub wrong". Asked me again to go park in the front 20 more minutes pass and finally they bring the order out. We get home and the pizzas are ice cold one is wrong and both subs were wrong. After playing a fun, relaxing, and satisfying round of golf at the local Watermark Golf Course. I found myself and the 3 others I was with looking for a nice place to sit down and eat to cap off a successful all around day. As we debated where to go, we settled on the local pizza spot down the block. Being from NY I know that to have high standards for pizza will just continuously let you down in Texas (sorry Texans I love the BBQ). But this place bring a whole new meaning to disappointing when it comes to food and service. When I walk in, I see a few tables and booths that gives a nice pizza place vibe. As I give my order the woman behind the counter asked for my phone number and pretty much refused to take my order until I gave one which is strange since I was eating in (as my group sits down at a booth). So after I give a fake number I ordered a marge pepperoni pizza with wings and 2 Pepsi's (16 oz bottles). Thinking the girl taking my order would reach over and give me the drinks to take to the table, she told me she will bring them out (which was not an issue). As we sat down and waited for our food and drinks, the first thing up were the wings. The wings are the equivalent of dominos hot wings that sat in the fridge for 2 days and you nuke it in the microwave for 7 minutes. Along with the 20 wings we got one small cup of ranch dipping sauce which for 4 guys isn't going to cut it. Had to ask for plates, more ranch as we eat the wings out of a to go container. Next was the pizza and bread sticks. Came out also in to go boxes and when asked for a plate to put it on they advised they didn't have any...in a pizza place. Pizza was too hot to eat for 10 min and everything fell off the second you picked it up. Finally after the pizza came we had to remind them that we ordered drinks, after muscling through the hot wings with nothing to drink became I try not to make a big deal over small issues like that. Overall probably the worst experience at a pizza spot in Texas so far and I have been to quite a few around the DFW area. Marco needs to run a tighter ship. read more

Love Marco's! We order from here 2-3 times a month. We always pick our order up so I can't speak to the delivery times. The pizza is always ready when they say it will be. It's always fresh and tasty. I have, however been a victim of garlic sauce chintziness a number of times, even though I pay extra for it. So Marco's, y'all need to do better in that regard.
