The new BBLT is bacon-tastic! I wish it was available year-round!!

Might be the best Sonic in town; quick friendly service outpaces most Sonics! AND; another waiter came around offering extra condiments, straws, and/or napkins! Kudos.

I stop at a sonic a few to several times a week for an iced tea, and often snacks or kids' food after school. The tea is always good, food usually pretty good. What's been annoying lately, they released these "BBQ tots" that everyone went crazy for. I consistently use the app to order for half price all day drinks. The location and app evidently do not communicate, which I picture being frustrating for employees, but anyways. After I ordered and paid for those 4 different times, they came out to my car to tell me they're not available. They cost more than regular tots (and to be honest I wouldn't order a plain order of tots anyways). But they tell me I can't be refunded because I paid on the app (which is crap, I found out the fourth time they can give me back cash). Anyways, happy to charge me the extra 50 cents or whatever, and give me something I didn't want. But they came out and asked what I'd like instead, still maintaining I can't be refunded, and agreed to give me something worth less value than I spent but wouldn't compensate with like two corn dogs, that being a 30 cent difference. Happy to take my money and overcharge, but sticklers about "taking care of a customer". Also, if your order from the app they won't include your sauces, you have to call them from the stall to ask. Cherries and lemons cost extra nowadays, but they're always missing from our drinks too. Seems awful petty for a fast food joint; maybe it's just me. I come here much less than I would, dreading this type of petty BS. The reviews saying staff and management takes care of the customers kind of surprise me.

Typical Sonic. Nothing special, nothing bad. Happy Hour is from 2pm-4pm and is the best time to get some discounted drinks.

We had a great late lunch here on a Friday afternoon. Our server was super sweet and made great…read moresuggestions on beer and food options. The build-your-own burger I made (blt, mayo, and added avocado spread) was FANTASTIC!! The fries were a hit. Sweet potato and plain were both the most amazing addition to their burgers. Loved the spicy and regular ranch! Okay now to the margarita. Strong and tasted pretty good. My husband enjoyed the beer options (purple haze and dark matter). My only beef with the harbor is the parking. I don't feel the infrastructure here is set up for this much volume of stores and customers. Of course this isn't the restaurants' fault.

My wife and I don't eat burgers often, but when we do, we go straight to Rodeo Goat--any location,…read morereally, because they're all excellent. What makes the Rockwall spot stand out is its incredible outdoor patio, complete with swinging tables and chairs and a beautiful view of the lake. It's one of the best patios around. The burgers themselves are wonderfully creative, often featuring unexpected ingredients--like strawberry compote. On a burger? Absolutely. And it works. I can be a pretty picky eater, but at Rodeo Goat I've learned to trust the menu. Order it the way the chef intended, and you'll be glad you did. You can't go wrong with any Rodeo Goat, but the Rockwall location is especially worth the visit for the views and the outstanding burgers. You won't be disappointed.

I have only one thing to say about Dudley's bar and grill, excellent people, excellent service,…read morethese people went out of their way even though, I wasn't even their customer. I fell in the parking lot, wasn't even their responsibility. It wasn't their fault, but their staff, was more than helpful, made me feel like what's in the right place. Next thing they did, was to comfort me, and give me medical treatment. I mean it was only a few scratches. My forearm was bleeding. Of course. I was bleeding all over the parking lot. But they didn't care, they took care of me when I need them. They opened their bathroom, and they gave me sufficient medical care to get home. I've never been in Dudley's bar before. But I give them a AAA reading on there staff, and need to be helpful. It seemed like a bunch of off duty. Paramedics took care me. I very much appreciate their time and their care.

However, this being our 4th time visiting Dudley's, I was surprised to notice that the "locals" seem to get the attention of the bar staff. I understand that they are probably all fast friend and buddies but, we're paying customers as well. It was difficult to get someone to take our food order, another beer, water refill, etc. All of the action this Sunday was clearly with the regulars. Not the best experience at one of our favorite brunch spots. We don't need much and pretty much want to be left to enjoy the atmosphere, however we do need some service when we're empty.

Belle Vie Bistro

Saturday night dinner at Belle Vie Bistro was very nice! I honestly would give it about 4.5 stars,…read morenot a 5, as that implies perfection. But they are definitely making the effort to deserve respect. First, we were seated promptly and our server was very responsive, so much so that we hadn't even had a moment to peruse the wine menu before she arrived. I would recommend that the servers be trained to bring water and the bread and butter without asking in order to offer the guests a chance to settle in for a moment. (Fresh french bread and good butter, by the way. I don't usually indulge in that, but I had 2 slices.) And if a guest asks to sample a wine, the answer is always "Yes." They are going to order wine, they just don't know if it will be that one. Both my wife and I started with side salads, which were great. Very fresh greens, and dressings that were obviously made in-house and delicious (awesome lemon vinaigrette on the bistro salad and a truly great Caesar dressing.) I should mention that their wine selection is made up of good labels you probably drink regularly, with a few neat additions that are worth a try. My wife ordered the grilled salmon cooked to her preference, and it was served that way. She really liked the lemon sauce with which it was served, along with risotto and al dente veggies including squash, zucchini and carrots (well seasoned.) I had the duck confit, and it too, was very good. Mashed potatoes made in house (again, well seasoned) with the same grilled vegetables. I appreciate many things about this restaurant. Frankly, I don't understand why it wasn't packed. The lighting is nice, the music is just perceptible so as not to be intrusive. The service is very attentive, and the food is really good. The price point is reasonable. The most expensive meal on the menu is about $35, but they offer plenty of great options for less. Having written a brunch review for this restaurant before on Google, I noticed that they take the input from their clients seriously, and I appreciate that. This is a place that is putting in the work, and it shows. I forgot to mention that they have a barista on staff even in the evenings, and pastries that are made by an actual French pastry chef (I indulged in the Croissant Aux Aumandes on our previous visit, and it is absolutely legit.) Parking on the square in Rockwall can be an issue, and Belle Vie is in the middle of the block, so maybe it is somewhat overlooked, but it is definitely worth a visit. I'll be going back pretty soon for the lamb at dinner time. I also want to try their French onion soup and French dip. You should go. You won't be disappointed.

Don't get the steak if you care how it's cooked…read more I ordered medium well, it came out medium rare. The waiter asked if I would cut into it to check other parts. I refused because I just needed to jiggle it with my fork and knife to see that it was underdone. They took it back and it came back half medium and half slightly over medium well. What's killing me is that I was told that they had checked it the second time and I could see several cuts on the steak (that's crazy that the chef/cook had to figure out doneness that way). But one of the openings in the steak was clearly medium, which he later affirmed. So, I'm not sure what they checked before! The non-bloody parts of the steak did taste good, though. So, if you don't care about doneness, go for it. Also, they had weird plating on the steak. Go for the board or go for plates but this awkward plates on a cutting board means you delicately try to not knock anything off. Pro tip: scrape it all onto the board The calamari was tasty except the plate was half fried zucchini. Slick move to get $16 out of me for a tempura plate. Otherwise, service was pretty slow although the restaurant was maybe 1/4 occupied. I had my doubts since the spot a couple doors down had a one-hour wait. Should've trusted my gut.
