They're literally the best! They will order whatever liquor you're looking for. Seriously the best customer service. The owner is the nicest person ever. You know when you just have your local business and you communicate with the owner it feels like home. Solid little bottle shop. So little that I didn't even see it when driving by it. Don't worry, I doubled back and found it. Super small and absolutely well thought out inventory. I found a few things I've never seen before but sadly, could live without. Staff was friendly and helpful without being pushy. If I could give more stars...I would give it 5 more!! Finally, I can wallow in my beer snobbery...even though I live on the "edge of civilization" in North Collin County. I honestly can't think of a place I've seen a better & more diverse beer selection in North DFW- with an emphasis on local & craft beer. It quite frankly rivals (if not bests) Whole Foods & Central Market. We just left with Lakewood Temptress, Left Hand Milk Stout, Rogness ProAm, and Ommegang Hennepin...and a list of what we'd be getting next visit. This is a hidden gem of a bottle shop that I hope the residents of McKinney can appreciate. It's hard to think that a little more than 10 years ago, you had to venture into Anna or Plano to get beer to drink in Mactown. Now, there is a craft beer centered bottle shop right there on Eldorado on the West side of town. Simply amazing. I could probably spend a full hour in here just going through the bottles on the shelves. Rares, commons, wilds, and everything in between, Choice Beverage has it. Service-wise, the employees are extremely helpful and they're consistently updating Instagram/Twitter/Facebook with new beers that arrive to the store. This place used to be pretty good. I mean, they still have a lot of good, hard-to-find beers at somewhat decent prices considering they're a bottle shop and not Total Wine. What's turned me off is the service. I used to be able to walk in and geek out over all sorts of beer with some friendly guys who worked there. Within the past 3-4 months, I guess they've had a lot of staff turnover. The guys who are there now make it seem like you are somehow inconveniencing them with your patronage (ex. I picked up a bottle of a very limited release beer off a table. My arms were full and I sat everything up on the counter. Guy looks up from his phone just long enough to fire off "mind putting that back on the table and grabbing one of these" while motioning to another shelf. The best customer service would offer to help me by getting the other bottle for me as they weren't busy at the time. This guy talked down to me like I was inconveniencing him coming into the shop). They also don't mark prices on some beers. I grabbed a 4-pack of Dogfish Head 120 minute IPA, put it on the register, and the guy says "oh this is $48". Like he got some sort of pleasure insinuating I couldn't afford the product! Here's a radical thought, label your product unless you're embarrassed by what you're charging for it. I'll give it 2 stars for the beer, and keep 3 for the attitudes I've been catching when I go in. Doubt I'll go back. read more

The owner keep s a good stock of local hard to find beer as well as premier craft beer. I find myself going in just for a six pack but leaving with enough beer to stock my fridge. Hands down the BEST beer store in North Texas. The owners are friendly, knowledgeable, and will order absolutely anything for customers (as long as the TABC allows it). I'm originally from Michigan and Choice Beverage was one of the first to start carrying Founders and is the ONLY place I can get Atwater (Detroit). I agree with other users that if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. I love this place so much that even though I moved from McKinney to Princeton and it takes me 20-30 minutes to get there, it's still my go-to place for beer. read more

I've been coming here since the place opened a few years back. The owners are down to earth and really enjoy beer. Their beer selection was grown from customer input. All I'd have to do is ask for a beer and then they would have it a week later. Thats how to grow a business my friends! Listen to the customer. Now they have a really large,interesting and ever changing selection of beers. They are a small business that still give warm and friendly customer service. I always find good beer in this place and something unique to crack open for every occasion. This is not a redneck hub to pick up your Pabst Blue Ribbon. However, You can have some friendly beer discussion and walk away with something really unique and delicious to expand your thirsty palate. Awesome selection and great owners, by far my favorite place in the DFW for beer and the wine selection is pretty good too.

Ordered a keg of Shiner for a party and the tap malfunctioned in the middle of the party with half the keg left. We were not able to fix it. When I returned the keg, the owners offered no remediation....only wondered why I didn't bring the tap back into the store while the party was going on. Seriously? Poor customer service. Will never waste my money there again. read more
