Was cruising around, exploring the shopping center when I saw Firehouse Subs has a gluten-free bread option (for medium sized subs). I've been craving a sub sandwich so I tried out the "Firehouse Hero", which is "Roast beef, smoked turkey breast, honey ham, and melted provolone, served with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, and deli mustard with a dill pickle spear served on the side.". The shop is small, but cozy, and the staff were friendly. I got mine to go, and had them top it with some hot sauce that was rated 8/10-hot on their scale. However, I couldn't taste any spice at all once I ate it, so i'm unsure if they forgot or just put a very tiny amount on it. The sandwich was good, although it was somewhat "wet" of a sandwich. The gluten-free bread was great, as I couldn't tell a difference taste-wise or texture-wise. I'm glad to have found this spot and hope they continue the gluten-free bread option. read more

Ambiance seemed aggressive. African American female with glasses was cleared upset and cursing up an all kinds of obscenity. From "you don't want to fuck with me" to "I know you were talking about me." The general manager seemed to look at her and she calmed down. But she was clearly very upset with another coworker. Steak and cheese sandwich was good. But did not feel comfortable eating at the store after experiencing discomfort. read more

Witnessed something awesome and compassionate today. There was a homeless man outside the store sorting through the trash for something to eat. The store employees noticed this and invited the man in and made him a sandwich of his choice. Kudos to the staff! Manager was very nice and the subs were on point today. read more

One thing I cannot stand in a sandwich, waterlogged bread. They do not drain their vegetables enough to stop the slimy bottom bread slice. This does not take much time to ruin either. Maybe don't use a box that hold water maybe actually drain the vegetables after they have been washed. I do not like this place just go to Subway and get two foot longs for the same price. read more

Incoherent service and horrible food. If you are charging that much for a sandwich, do a few things: (1) put enough toppings on it so that it isn't a sand"wish". (2) put employees at the counter that at least know how to say "mayonnaise " (not melonin), and know the difference between ham turkey . Great customer service. Ordered a sandwich for my two oldest kids to split and a kids meal for my youngest but asked them to leave off the dessert on the kids meal. I've been here PLENTY of times but tonight I feel obligated to share my experience. I ordered food here yesterday afternoon and spent 16$ I got a small sandwich that was supposed to be a medium and a small Mac and cheese. I honestly wasn't full I took 2 bites sandwich was gone. I just don't see how such small portions are given out when my meal is almost a 2 for 20$ at chilis. ‍ the service was amazing the young lady taken my order was very talkative and gave her thoughts on my order. Great meatball sub, great variety. Can be pricey, especially adding chips, etc. Nice staff. I have placed a to go order a few times and it's been cold when I got home. It's real good though, It didn't stop me from eating there again and again! Ryan remembers that I like cucumbers with my meals and he is very nice to my family when we see him. I encountered an issue from a kids to go order and didn't receive the drink but when i was able to go back, they gave me a large drink. Firehouse is one of my all time faves. But I have to ding this one. First of all the prices at this one are way higher (med sub $10 instead of $8)(granted that could be franchise-wide). Sub itself seemed like it had half the meat it used to - of course this could also be something more corporate. I hope not. But to top it all off, we dined in today and our order took forever. Maybe 20 minutes? Place was like super cramped. There were a bunch of chips boxes piled all over one of the prime tables. Workers were actually suggesting folks in line might want to leave cuz they were so backed up. And sure maybe this was a perfect storm of a bunch of online orders and some shift worker not showing up? I'd give this location another try, just cuz it's Firehouse. l had a late lunch, so l thought l would stop by here. The location was empty, l am the only customer at the moment. The place was spotless and clean inside and out. Pretty nice setup. Being my first time, l asked for recommendations and Quoting the cashier. This one is one of the better locations! Service here is great. The staff is very nice and friendly. I love making my own cherry limeade, they're fab-u-loso!!! I like this place because they usually give you a coupon for free meal or sometimes free combo deals. I got the new York steamer. It's very tasty with beef pastrami(?) and some mayo. The only thing is: every time I get it, it's extra eatery and a lot of drippage happens and I'm nit very fond of a soggy sammich. I wasn't very impressed with the cleanliness of the restaurant. There was trash on most of the tables but we found A nice and clean table. They also started sweeping as we were eating and dust was flying everywhere. I completely understand cleaning all the mess during down time but this could be resolved by having one extra person on staff. Overall experience was good. My first and last visit to this Franchise and location. Stopped in today and ordered takeout for 3 medium subs without Mayo and all had Mayo when I got home. I had the New York Steamer and the entire Medium sub weighed in at 3 ounces...Pathetic. $9 for a sandwich that I finished off in 4 bites. I'm a small person but would need at least 4 subs to fill up. I'm just glad I didn't opt for the drink and tiny bag of chips or the bill would be close to $50. I was about to ask at check out if gold flakes were added to the meat. The best subs I've ever had were made by myself at home...Then again, everything made at home is always better..I guess in the end Firehouse Subs taught me a cheap lesson for just $28. read more

The firehouse theme is obvious with the naming of the sandwiches. There is an Engineer Sub, an Engine Company, a Hook and Ladder, and if you want the works, you want it "Fully Involved". The counter is lined with about 30-40 bottles of different types of hot sauces. From Dave's Insanity to a milder Mango Salsa. It's fun trying out the different sauces. I love the Smokehouse Brisket and Cheddar Sandwich. The meat is tender and smoked and served on a sub roll. The Engineer has smoked turkey with sauteed mushrooms and melted swiss cheese. We were chatting on the way home about how pleasant the people working there were even though it was late. Apparently we were a bit too enthralled because I pulled the ultimate idiot move and forgot my purse! My iPhone has an "if found" graphic on it's wallpaper that shows my husband's phone number. Not only did they call his phone to let us know, they stuck around after closing so I could pick it up. They're thing is that they toast the bread and Steam the meat and cheeses. Very amazing taste, better than Subway and Quiznos. You will pay about $7ish each for a meal. The kids meals aren't worth your time unless you like PB&J; I'd say skip the family bonding here and make it lunch or a before the movies eat. A little pricier than other sandwich places, but there's something about the way they prepare their sandwiches when you ask for it "fully involved" meaning all the veggies and sauces, that makes me love the taste of the sandwich even more. As always, I always try the italian and it's probably among the best I've had. Maybe it's the flavors they put on it that makes it taste great, but I'm definitely a fan. I have tried to the turkey sub and remember it being very good as well. I'll keep in mind to try the other sauces as the other reviewer mentioned next time I do go. But given the price compared to other sandwich places, I probably wouldn't come here as often. I would say it's worth it if you're into having sandwiches with the works and aren't too picky about what kind of sauces are in your sandwich. read more

I visited Firehouse Subs for the first time today, and I was not disappointed! Me and my boyfriend drive through this location occasionally, and he always mentioned how good they were. Aside from the occasional subway, I'm really not a sub type of person. However, I might just have found a new lunch place for a quick meal. :) So here's my experience.... First of all this place is way better than subway! Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted with smiles. The customer service is awesome here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Once our food was ready, it was brought to our table. I would say the customer service here is comparable to chick fil a's, with the exception of not sounding scripted and being genuine. But anyway, aside from great customer service the food was delish. I hardly ever crave subs, because I can make them myself: however, tasting their crunchy (not too crunchy, but just the right amount of crisp) soft bread, yummy melted cheese on fresh tasting turkey, fresh tasting veggies, and of course their juicy pickles (on the side) I find myself wanting a bite! I hardly ever find myself raving about a place, but I think I've told all my friends about my first time going here. I think the only fault for me is there's not a lot around lol read more

As I was looking at the menu board one of the guys making food just stared at me. Didn't speak or ask me if I needed to order. Then when I did order the poor guy at the register had such a deep and quiet voice I couldn't understand a word he said? My Hook & Ladder salad was good. I've been enjoying the sandwiches here for a couple years. My favorite is the Smokehouse Beef and Cheddar Brisket. Very friendly, clean and consistent. I've never been annoyed or experience anything negative so they are on top of their game. I also just learned that this location will give first responders or veterans a free drink with the purchase of a sandwich. I witnessed the owner thanking a veteran. This place barely speaks to you when you place your order and just seem so unhappy. Even though I prefer their food, I choose Jersey Mike's now.
