The rice was also very well done, flavorful and cooked just right. My only real wish is that the gyro had been thicker. It was thinly cut but still savory and tasty, just not quite what I was hoping for in terms of texture. The location itself is simple and clean and not fancy at all, which works well for what it is. My brother put me on this place and thank god he did because the food here hits every time. I got the chicken over rice with fries and when I tell you the chicken is bursting with flavor, I mean it. It's not the slightest bit dry and is shaved perfectly. I like to get the sauce on the side so that I can adjust it to my preference but the white sauce is one of the best white sauces I've had because it is not too overpowering. Outstanding. They only have about six or seven items on the menu, but everything that they make is excellent. The food is always hot and fresh, and tastes so good! The gentleman that runs the shop is so polite, friendly, and extremely hospitable- they've given us free bottles of water or complimentary hot Turkish tea to sip, while waiting for our food. I always get the chicken over fries with white sauce and hot sauce, salad on the side. But I've also tried the beef kabob with rice (only available on weekends) and it was amazing too. Mr. Pide was a great experience and I really wanted to give it 5 stars, but I think a few minor tweaks could get them to 5 star quality! To start with the positives, the staff is so welcoming! The cashier quickly noticed that we had not been to the restaurant before and explained the menu options to us very thoroughly. We ended up ordering the beef plates with rice and fries which is right around $20/plate. I will be honest in the fact that the price seemed high at first but when I saw the amount of food that came on the plate, it was DEFINITELY worth it. The meat, fries, rice, and sauces were all flavorful and fresh tasting. Now to pivot to the areas for improvement: the location was hard to find as it looks like an abandoned building with just a tarp sign and a hard to see open sign. More easily identifiable signage could go a long way. Additionally, I personally would prefer an authentic tzatziki sauce as opposed to the garlic sauce they utilize in the plates for a more refreshing flavor. Lastly, I like the meat to be a tad crisped on the edges for texture. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to others and will be back! read more

I used to frequent Mr Pide a few years ago. I had sleeve surgery so my appetite has shrunk significantly. So it's been a while since I've been back, no fault of theirs (I blame it on my ADHD). Whenever I think about their yummy food it's at a random moment when I'm not nearby or too late and they're closed. So today I finally remembered to swing by. I got my fav chicken donor and took my treasure home. When he handed me my container he said it was nice seeing you again. WHAT?!?! He remembered me!!!! How awesome is that?! Or is it just an indicator that I went there so often before LOL Anyway, I get home and open my container and WOW! So much food! I'd forgotten how much food you get! Just tried Mr. Pide today for lunch and it was delicious! Super nice guy behind the counter said it was his place. We got the Chicken Doner plate, Beef Gyro sandwich, and falafel and all were outstanding! Everything was fresh, and the falafel was some of the best we've ever had - generously sized and nicely moist - not dry and chalky. Note the red sauce has got a kick - suggest you order it on the side to apply sparingly as you go (don't skip it - just add to your hotness threshold). We will be back, and soon! read more

What a super restaurant! The orders are made fresh and the food tastes so good! The chef is very friendly and seems genuinely happy all the time. Service is fast and courteous. Ambience is typical "highway diner" but if that doesn't work for you, they will happily pack your order to-go. We are so happy to have found this gem, and so close to our home. We don't mind paying $18 for a meal however the amount of food that we got for the chicken Doner and beef combo was shockingly sparse. The beef kebab, which is always been my favorite was tough, rubbery and tasted mainly like hamburger meat and not much Middle Eastern flavor. Ordered this as a takeout order. $19 for a dinner order seems pretty hefty however the portion size is plenty and large enough to share with someone if you wanted to split a meal. I ordered the mixed platter which included both the chicken doner and the beef gyro. The meats were both delicious and very tender and were not dry at all, which is a common fear when ordering Mediterranean food. The rice is delicious and comforting. The salad included the perfect vegetables needed to complement the meats with the lettuce, tomato, and onion. The white sauce provided that nice creamy element that blended well with the rest of the bowl. However, I suggest ordering the sauce on the side because the heaviness of the sauce can completely take over the dish as well as make the vegetables soggy, which would eliminate the necessary textual component needed to perfect this dish. The only issue I had with this dish was the red sauce. I found to be heavy in acidic flavor with no spice at all. Spice is another element that this dish needs so I was disappointed with the lack of it. This is a delicious Mediterranean bite! I'd definitely order again however I would make sure that I have the sauces kept separate so I could control each bite. If they can improve upon the spicy red sauce, this could be my new favorite go to chicken and rice spot in the area. read more

Offering complimentary tea and snacks with our meal, and readily taking constructive criticism and chatting, the owner is efficient, open and kind. He does the majority of food handling himself, and is able to get out your order within a matter of 10-15 minutes. His son at the register is also very welcoming, and is happy to give you recommendations and his personal reviews on each item they serve. It creates an environment that shows the business really does care about everything and everyone in their little bubble. As for the food, it's simple but fresh flavors that are sure to satisfy your appetite, with an abundance of protein and an accompaniment of your choice of carbs and salad. The Kebobs were juicy and leaked flavor into the rice, while the Shawarma was a perfect mix of crispy and tender pieces. The fries in the platter are relatively unseasoned, allowing the meat and sauces to soak in and create a more harmonious bite overall. The interplay of textures keeps you aware of every bite, and your cravings will pull you in for another. It's truly a wonderful meal, at a great price.
