This is my favorite go-to spot when they're open on the weekends. Their portions are beyond generous and the flavors couldn't be better. Yes! First and most important. The food is very good. The owners are very friendly. If you like Mediterranean, you need to try the food here. Now, let's cover a few bases because this place is only 6-months new. 1) Don't let the outside turn you away. Yes, the building needs plants and flowers on the curb to dress it up. It would also help for a window to not be blacked out so that customers can see inside. As soon as you step inside you'll see it's great. 2) The portions are generous. I had the Gyro over fries with salad and pita. Not something I typically order at a Mediterranean place, but the pictures online looked great. That said, I would love to see traditional cucumber, tomato and olive salad offered as an option over lettuce/tomato. Bottom line, the food and service are solid. The outside of the building needs a little curb appeal, but this should not stop you from trying the food here because it's on the inside that really only matters anyway. Enjoy! read more

This was a rare perfect 5 star 70 review restaurant that is one that matches its rating. Amazing, authentic, reasonable, and delicious. This is a diamond being made. Father and son starting out and they have a great start! All meat is Halal and it's plentiful on the plates. I asked for traditional Gyro Tzaziki sauce and the young man said they have his fathers special creamy garlic sauce with his hot red sauce. A new turn for me on a pita gyro, but awesome!. Service was fast and on time as I called ahead. The baklava dessert was also delicious! I asked how to pronounce the name of the place and he said "Mr. Pita". I said that sounded like Pita. Finally had the chance to get lunch at the newly opened Mr Pide in Sachse. Chicken Doner sandwich. For those of you that don't know... it's like a giant chicken fajita. The bread is like a thick fluffy flour tortilla. It's served with a sour cream type sauce and a spicy red sauce. The meat is flavorful, and plentiful. Totally worth the wait! We have been looking for a halal spot ever since we moved to Rowlett and we finally tried Mr. Pide and let me tell you, we were not even close to disappointed. We tried the beef gyro, mixed meat plate and the kabob on pita. The meat had amazing flavor and was very tender, it's a lot of food so it's worth every penny of the price. The customary sauces were extremely flavorful and complimentary to the meat. If you're looking for a sign to eat here take this as one!! read more

I order over the phone and I usually get it to go. Service was fast and on time when I called ahead. Portion sizes are plenty! We get the chicken donor with the sauces (yum) over rice. They have a very basic menu, but what they do, they do well. The food, specifically the sauce, was delicious. The service was way better and friendlier than anything I've experienced locally. One complaint is that getting into and out of the parking lot is a little sketchy, coming off of high-speed 78. If they could get a little driveway permitted and built from the smaller road to their southwest (6th St.?), it would be a much safer in/egress for their customers. read more

I called in my order for pickup which was pretty seamless. The environment inside the restaurant is pretty sparse and could use some improvement. As for the food, I ordered a chicken Döner sandwich and a gyro sandwich with fries. They use the kind of pita that I love (thick without a pocket). The Döner was fantastic and the gyro was good, but sliced much thinner than I was expecting (as thin as deli meat). I'm not sure if this is a usual style from a specific Mediterranean region, but I hadn't had it like this before. It was good, just not my favorite. The fries were great and had a nice seasoning on them. I'll probably try a few other Mediterranean places before coming back, but overall it was a good experience. read more

I drive for a local food delivery service and picked up an order from Mr. Pide for the first time tonight. Immediately when I walked in, I was greeted with a hearty hello. The man preparing the food thanked me for stopping by, offered me some complimentary hot tea and insisted I take a small container of chicken doner with me. I must say, I have lived a sheltered life - never trying Mediterranean food in my life (fact!), but I was feeling adventurous tonight. The chicken was cooking rotisserie style just like trompo or al pastor meat that you'd find at a Mexican taco joint. He asked if I liked spicy food, and I agreed to some dressing and hot sauce on it. I thanked him for the food and he invited me to stop by anytime. When I got to the car, I gave it a shot. Y'all. This was nothing short of amazing. The chicken was tender, super flavorful and that hot sauce gave it just the kick it needed. I believe it's normally served on rice, which would just knock it out of the park! Yum! Visited them again today and they gave us complimentary baklava and tea beyond the great quality food that they were already serving. Outside might look mediocre but the magic and the surprise part is their food and which is what we love the most and owners are very warm and humble. Good hard working people making food that is so darn good. I would not hesitate having his meal 7 times a week. The beef kebabs are so juicy yet thoroughly cooked. I came here when it first opened and thought it was good, not great. But, after seeing all of the positive reviews, I wanted to try it again. We ordered beef gyros, beef kabobs, and a chicken schwarma plate. The portions are HUGE and the food is amazing! Everything was tender and delicious and I'm soooo happy I went back to this place. Searching all around east Dallas for decent Mediterranean food and I was really hoping to like this place but as the other places I've tried, I was left disappointed. Beef gyro with rice was just drenched in sauce, meat had no depth of flavor really, was mostly just salty (which was exaggerated even more bc of the sauce). This restaurant is small and mostly just Togo only but don't let the looks fool you. The food is really good! My husband and I love the Chicken Doner over rice and the mix over rice! The kabobs are also really good! The sauces he puts on the shawarma are both amazing! Again this is mostly a Togo order restaurant. Although he doesn't have a drive through if you order online and put your cars make/model and color he'll bring your food right out to your car, which is actually easier than a drive through. read more

I don't understand the $17 price. I ordered the steak kabob. It was tender and seasoned correctly but the value was just not there. It was mostly rice. The cook was cross contaminating with his gloves hand. read more
