What a little gem, right in the heart of downtown Wiley, fantastic Italian find! The dishes at Villa Vinci were delicious. We started with some marinated olives (kind of a small dish, hard to share). They went great with the dinner rolls (was it garlic rolls shaped like square bagels?) We ordered veal parmagiana, stuffed shells, and special spaghetti. I loved the sauce, wow. Perfect amount of cheese and my veal parmagiana was seasoned well and had the right kind of bite, easily cut with a fork! The stuffed shells were so flavorful and the pasta had good bite to it. My only complaint is the noodles under my veal parmagiana... I just wish it was more al dente. I love how they serve spaghetti dishes with a spoon! Perfect for twirling your noodles for the perfect bite. Service was impeccable. I asked for red pepper flakes and they brought it out right away. read more

It's Wednesday date night and this week, we changed our regular location to moms favorite cuisine. We decided to go from our weekly Mexican place to Italian in Wylie. When you arrive, the first obstacle is parking since the restaurant is located on main street and it's not easy to back out when you leave, if you find a spot close to the restaurant. This is a seat yourself place and a few minutes in, our server brought us our menus. Since I've been eating carnivore for a bit, it was difficult to find something to eat. Mom selected ravioli and I got the chicken salad with 2 sides sausage and meatballs. While we waited for our meals, our server brought us warm bread. No this fat guy did not pull a Homer Simpson and salivate then eat it in seconds. Second obstacle, the portion size doesn't match the price-i don't feel i need to elaborate just look at the pictures. Mom liked her Ravioli. My chicken was dry and the sausage/meatballs portions were covered in sweet red sauce. There goes my carnivore with the sauce which overpowered the two sides of meat. Our server checked on us which was good. This was an average experience especially at almost $50 for two. read more

Villa Vinci's is allocated in the heart of downtown Wylie. Lots of free parking located up front or on the side streets. They were pretty busy when we went on a Saturday night. The restaurant is clean and very cozy. Service is amazing! Everyone here was super nice and made us feel welcome and special for our first visit! The food was good! I got gluten free pizza from here. It was good as far as gluten free goes. It was not cauliflower crust. The regular gluten people said they liked the pizza (ans they are picky eaters) so I think that's saying something. FYI to yelp, I did pay for their pizza too. read more

Three of us ordered special spaghetti, the antipasto salad, and the pasta alforno. The meal came with garlic rolls and we added a side order of marinara for dipping. It was tangy and light, NOTHING like a canned or bottled sauce. The rolls were a bit dense, but EVERYTHING else was WONDERFUL! We shared all of the dishes, but the winner was the antipasto salad with its ham and salami pinwheels and the absolute BEST house dressing. Although he didn't introduce himself, I think it was the owner, came around to see if everything was good and answer questions. He even let me guess the ingredients of that dressing! We will definitely return as we had no room for the house-made tiramisu and really wished we had. Maybe a cup of cappuccino and dessert on our next visit. Service was great. Our server was attentive but not bothersome. The decor of the restaurant was pleasant with wine bottles lining the ceiling molding around the entire circumference of the dining room, antique pressed metal ceiling tiles, and origami chandeliers which spun delicately above us. The quiet ambiance was casual enough for a family dinner while quaint enough for an intimate date night. We had an all-around delightful visit to a lovely restaurant. The food was amazing! For our appetizer, we shared the Bruschetta. The bread was slightly crispy with a soft, buttery inner. Topped with tomato and olive oil in perfect amounts, every bite was better than the previous. We had the Chicken Calabrese and Lobster Ravioli, both were very delicious and had lovely flavor notes. We also had a few of their new Italian inspired cocktails. The Cosmoplita and Italian Coffee were beautiful variations of the traditional Irish Coffee and Cosmopolitan. The service was great - prompt and very friendly! We ordered the bruschetta to start - it was good, but could have used a bit more seasoning/basil, and thinner bread. My husband had the chicken caesar salad, which was exactly what you'd expect it to be. The chicken was quite good and well sized for the cost. I had the chicken carciofi, to try something I don't usually see on the menu at other places. It was very delicious - I did the scampi sauce because I'm not into alfredo. It wasn't too heavy, and the portion size was good. To me, this is exactly the type of restaurant a town like Wylie should support - local owned, great service, solid food! The 4 stars are for the excellent service! The young lady that served us was extremely nice and helpful. I sure wish I could remember her name. She told us several of her favorite menu items. Although she had only worked there a few months, we could tell she truly loves the restaurant. We wish the food was as outstanding as the service, but it just didn't impress us. My husband and I had the chicken Parmesan and our daughter had the eggplant parm. We all just felt like the sauce was bland. We had to add salt. The chicken was cooked well but it also lacked seasoning. The garlic rolls are delicious. It would be a nice touch if they served the rolls with olive oil. I don't think we would drive back over here. But the restaurant is beautiful and romantic. And if we lived nearby, we might try another menu item. read more

Another local gem in Wylie. Came on Friday evening and the place was fairly busy but we were still able to be seated immediately. The service was the star of our experience, everyone was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had an excellent experience! They were very apologetic for the "long wait" for our food, but honestly it was not even that long. Just shows that they really care about their customers and are willing to do whatever is necessary for satusfaction. For food we ordered a pizza with a few toppings, and a pasta alforno. The pizza was fine, but I really enjoyed the pasta! I wasn't sure at first as the consistency of the sauce was a little thinner than I was expecting, but it had some great flavor and I ate every last bite! The tiramisu is also definitely a hit! We try a bottle of Moscato wine, a chicken piccata and a chicken carciofi. Great taste food, profesional presentation, and a good portion. Because my birthday we try the house cheesecake ( I added a picture of it) oh lord! I ordered ahead online, and picked up dinner to bring home last night. Cute little restaurant in Old Wylie. The lady at the bar who got my food from the kitchen, was very nice. Maybe the food is better when you dine in, but ours was just ok, nothing special. We got salmon picatta , shrimp fettuccine Alfredo, and regular fettuccine Alfredo. We also ordered the homemade rolls, which were very dense, heavy like bricks. No flavor. For dessert we got the slice of chocolate mousse cake, and the tiramisu. My husband liked the cake, but the tiramisu was frozen. I let it thaw on the counter, but the lady fingers were soggy, and had a weird icy texture from being frozen. It was gross & inedible. The portions are on the small side. Overpriced for the portion size in my opinion. read more

I ordered to go and had to wait and saw all this while waiting a few minutes. Very bad. Not good at all. Spaghetti was a small portion not very much at all. More noodles then sauce. I ordered the chicken parmigiana, garlic rolls and the chocolate cake through Grubhub. The Chicken in the dish Chicken parmigiana was very stringy and chewy. My knife wouldn't cut through the stringiness I had to pull it apart. Was not tender or juicy, my guess is that they pounded the Chicken brest too much? The spaghetti noodle was cooked nicely, the Seasoning was on point for the sauce & the amounted of melted cheese was reayy good. If they gotten the Chicken right, it would've been a perfect dish. The garlic roll had a nice crisp on top and soft on the inside. Chocolate cake looked like it was from the freezer. I say this because there were frozen frosts in the cake when it was delivered to me. When I think of chocolate cake, I think of sweet and decadent. This was none of those. The Chocolate cake tasted bitter with a very slight hint of sweet (if you look for it). If you like dark chocolate you'd like this cake. I'm not a dark chocolate fan so I didn't enjoy it too much nor was it the flavor I was expecting when I first bit into it. Overall, I think this place has potential to do better and I would try it again one day to see if it's improved. read more

Great little Italian place nestled into downtown Wylie, Texas. Restaurant seating consists of tables and bar area. Fourteen in our party and all enjoyed their menu selections. Spaghetti with marinara, spaghetti with meat sauce, Fettuccine Alfredo, pizza, fried calamari, salads, linguine with scampi sauce, yummy homemade rolls, Chicken Murphy (a specialty), and Chicken Parmigiana (another popular dish) were all served to a wide range of ages (5-69). I was hungry for some hot comforting food that was not far from home so my wife and I picked a place new to us. We went to old town Wylie and discovered this nice Italian restaurant The reception was very inviting and attentive, the atmosphere was architecturally pleasing and the music added to the experience. We tried the Pasta Combo and enjoyed every bite as well as sampling a slice of Lemon Cello cake. I have to say it was the best Italian restaurant in the area and we will be back to try other items on the menu. read more

Family went to Villa Vinci Sunday afternoon on a recommendation. Sure glad we did. The service was great as was the ambiance. Welcomed in and seated promptly. Drinks and rolls came out quickly. Mozzarella sticks were good and then the main courses: Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, Special Spaghetti, Chicken Piccata, and a large Pepperoni pizza. All were so tasty.
