A roach on the wall behind the register.
Yolanda S.

Their burgers are OK. The workers are friendly as well however if ordering in store the wait times are extremely long. The restaurant prioritizes the drive thru over the front counter. However, i had to pause eating here because I saw a roach crawling up the wall behind the counter; and usually where there is one roach, there are more. I can't stand roaches and furthermore I'm allergic to them per my allergist. (Yes. During standard allergy tests allergists do test for them as roaches are a common pest.).

Spent seven minutes waiting for someone to take my order, as the only customer in the store. I got passed off to someone else three times. The woman who took my order was FaceTiming someone and acted like I was an inconvenience. I asked for a whataburger and a small order of fries. It got rung up as a medium whataburger meal combo, AND a small order of fries. I didn't realize it until I saw my receipt. When I queried the cashier, she informed me that since it was a credit card transaction, there was no way she could give a refund. She then offered to give me a cash refund, which I hesitantly accepted. Sadly, she only had a single dollar in the register. She said it was the best she could do. The small order of fries was $1.74 + tax. The food was fine, but the service was extremely lacking, and I say that having had low expectations to begin with.

I never had bad service or food from a WhatABurger and this one didn't disappoint me. It was great. Also, the staff was mad funny. Lol

Bzzzzzzz, bzzzz, and bzzzz. More flies than customers, more flies than workers, and more flies than items on the menu.

Over 30 minutes to get breakfast. Absolutely the WORST wait EVER. Dirty and unapologetic.

And to top it off my patty melt was so delicious with amazing savory flavor and my onion rings were just crispy enough to make them easy to eat but soft enough to still taste the onions.

Great Legos on display, a cool "game" vibe, and very friendly staff. The food was also really good. The chili cheese tots were excellent. The tots were crispy and the chili and cheese were delicious. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. The pizza was good and you can add extra pepperonis if you want, for $1. They have tons of board games and card games and even a few video games for people to play. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. They asked if we wanted water to go, and without asking, they brought a small to-go cup of lemons, since we had lemon with the water we had with our food. A very nice touch. It's an interesting place in the middle of Mississippi that is worth stopping at if you're passing through around lunch time.

While doing so I stumbled across this location and decided to give it a try. I was amused by all the nerdy decor so I decided to nerd out and have dinner while watching Star Trek. My waiter explain the menu to me when I told him it was my first visit and offered good suggestions on items I should try. He informed me that they have various nights where they have board games, movies, and other activities. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and pretzel bites. The food came out in a timely manner and was well prepared at a great temperature. Although the coleslaw was bland, you can tell it was freshly made. The pulled pork was a good portion and flavorful while the pretzel bites were fluffy and salty just like you would want them. As to my old fashioned, it tasted good, but they didn't include the traditional cherry for the old fashioned. I enjoyed this experience and the next time I'm in town I will visit for sure.

This un-veling (not review) will combine my collective experiences of 5-guys (5G) from the central east-coast to central-mississippi. They all deliver a product which is at once: 1) almost-perfect; 2) uniform; and 3) nostalgic beyond our being. Gather your napkins for tears and grease. This is going to be a mess. My excitement grew ever as I exchanged coy glances and sharp eye aversions from the brown paper sack sitting before me. Its motley grease-stained contours bent over and toward me, so slightly and seductively. I acted. At once, I reached in and immediately recoiled by burned finger as I shouted, "hot damn!" finding something quite heavy tautly wrapped tin foil. I was flushed with pleasure as my aching hands gained contact with the curves and weight of that mysterious and metallic object. Judiciously, I decided not to be "too available." I put that heavy paper-weight aside as I reached further into that old lunch sack... Reaching in, I felt that signature salty-sandpaper exterior of that pleasant bed of fries made just for you. Instinctively, I dunked the heartiest and most fit salty hunk of potato into my catsup trough and slurped it up with a confused bliss. After about 5 minutes of repeating the same, my hazel eyes looked sharply to that metallic heap of protein and veggies on the edge of the dining counter. As I unveiled the the tin-foil, I looked at with the confidence of a new bride and with the promise 5G made to me since our relationship began. Confidently and proudly, I brushed my nose against the fresh cool-green lettuce and giggled as it tickled me when it was jutting awkwardly from the side. I tasted the cold onion and savored the specially-order jalapeños which almost bit me back with equal vigor. My mouth swelled passionately. The American cheese had long-since seeped into the crevices of the 100% quality beef exterior as I eyed that last bite. I was tired now, an entire lifetime had occurred. The veggies, once crisp and strong, wilted before my eyes as the cheese and beef juices swelled passionately. I was not really that hungry after being so succulently satisfied. It was so much food I couldn't stand it. Dutifully, I remembered the promise made far before the unveiling and unraveling of that tin foil and my burger-bride. Although I couldn't recognize it in the end- I left my meal with feelings of times more pleasant than these before us. Those wannabe fries knocked it down from a 5-star to a 4-star. Yes...it matters.

For 8 PM that would give me 20 minutes to get checked in my room and drive 1/2 mile to pick up the food four minutes tops. I arrived at 8:03 which gave him plenty of time. I went inside, stood in line until the lady at the register that I was here for online order ok over there didn't ask for my name or nothing. People came in made orders picked them up left they were delivering order left and right and at 8:20 PM, I think they could see the frustration on my face because one of the ladies in the back asked me what was the name on my order? I told her and the guy looked up on the shelf along with about five other bags that were sitting there and there was my bag. I took it and left when I got to the car. It was ice cold. These folks don't even try. But as I said, what do you expect? its Jackson, Mississippi, Sunday night and the people just don't care. Sorry Five Guys, your places are normally top-notch, but y'all need a severe house cleaning here. Maybe you can get some people that actually act like they are there to work. The sad part about this is I went to this particular FGs even though I had read the reviews! I thought, nah, can't be that bad. I stand corrected "with a $20 bag of ice cold food."
