Well, I honestly don't know why I would expect anything different in Jackson MS. Put my order in over the app scheduled my pick up time. For 8 PM that would give me 20 minutes to get checked in my room and drive 1/2 mile to pick up the food four minutes tops. I arrived at 8:03 which gave him plenty of time. I went inside, stood in line until the lady at the register that I was here for online order ok over there didn't ask for my name or nothing. People came in made orders picked them up left they were delivering order left and right and at 8:20 PM, I think they could see the frustration on my face because one of the ladies in the back asked me what was the name on my order? I told her and the guy looked up on the shelf along with about five other bags that were sitting there and there was my bag. I took it and left when I got to the car. It was ice cold. These folks don't even try. But as I said, what do you expect? its Jackson, Mississippi, Sunday night and the people just don't care. Sorry Five Guys, your places are normally top-notch, but y'all need a severe house cleaning here. Maybe you can get some people that actually act like they are there to work. Came in after being hung over. Got a grilled cheese with extra Mayo and grilled onions. A double patty. Burger was good and fresh. Only thing for me I got two burgers and fries and drink for me and my sister and it was $40. We got nothing special but the price point is sooooo steep for me. It's good but not that good for $40. Also it wasn't the cleanest when we came. We literally had to wipe down our own table to sit down and eat. Service was just okay too. So this evening, I tried calling to place an order for pickup, I called four times and let it ring several several times. I was running errands while calling, then decided to try again. So I drove by to park, saw 1 person at the counter, called after I got out and walked up to the door, hung up as I entered an saw a girl employee had walked away from the register, a big guy asked if I was ordering or picking up. I said I would pick up if someone would have answered the four times I called and let him know I was calling when I walked in. I asked Nobody wanted to answer? Had waited 45 minutes at Another Broken Egg and when we asked "how much longer" were told, "probably another 30 minutes", so walked 50 feet to 5 Guys, placed our order and had our food in 5-10 minutes. The main features of this place are being loud and cold. The cashier treats the customers like a line of cattle. They do serve fresh hot food, but the burgers seem to be soggy now. The fries don't seem to be as crisp and delicious, like they used to be. Many times one of the drink machines is not working or they are out of several flavors. This un-veling (not review) will combine my collective experiences of 5-guys (5G) from the central east-coast to central-mississippi. They all deliver a product which is at once: 1) almost-perfect; 2) uniform; and 3) nostalgic beyond our being. Gather your napkins for tears and grease. This is going to be a mess. My excitement grew ever as I exchanged coy glances and sharp eye aversions from the brown paper sack sitting before me. Its motley grease-stained contours bent over and toward me, so slightly and seductively. I acted. At once, I reached in and immediately recoiled by burned finger as I shouted, "hot damn!" finding something quite heavy tautly wrapped tin foil. I was flushed with pleasure as my aching hands gained contact with the curves and weight of that mysterious and metallic object. Judiciously, I decided not to be "too available." I put that heavy paper-weight aside as I reached further into that old lunch sack... Reaching in, I felt that signature salty-sandpaper exterior of that pleasant bed of fries made just for you. Instinctively, I dunked the heartiest and most fit salty hunk of potato into my catsup trough and slurped it up with a confused bliss. The veggies, once crisp and strong, wilted before my eyes as the cheese and beef juices swelled passionately. I was not really that hungry after being so succulently satisfied. It was so much food I couldn't stand it. Dutifully, I remembered the promise made far before the unveiling and unraveling of that tin foil and my burger-bride. I was a little disappointed today by a corporate/local store upper management decision. Apparently they took away the option to order a "solo patty". I have a super restricted diet and this is one of the very FEW places I can find 100% beef cooked without seed oils! So my 3 Patty order went up from $9 (rounded up total) to $13.81. Why can't a restaurant simply give you what you ask for? We've found that when getting takeout from 5 Guys the burger buns and toppings are soggy by the time we get it home. So I asked for the toppings to be placed separately. Simple? Apparently not. When I got home all I found was a plain burger and no toppings. Yeah, I should have checked before leaving but didn't want to dig through the fries on top. I mean why should I HAVE to? To make it worst, I had the same experience at the Flowood location which is why I went to this one instead. When you're craving a burger this is a good place to stop. The burgers are good and they have your basic toppings you can add. I typically get the jr size and even that is sometimes too big. Everything is a la carte so no combo. Probably in my top 10 of good places to grab a burger in the Jackson/Ridgeland area. read more

However, they don't season the burger patties and its missing that umph! When it's time for a simple burger and fries, this is your spot. Completely no frills with a basic menu. With that comes burgers and fries that, in my opinion, are some of the best around. You can go with basic garnishment or get a little crazy with some that have a little kick. I had a double cheese bacon burger with sautéed mushrooms, a few grilled onions and mayo. Cooked medium well and there was care to make it balanced with the toppings. Sometimes I'll end up with a soupy mess, but not here. It is a chain, and I know lots of folks aren't a fan of that, but it's so much better than Majestic Burger that it's hard to even group them in the same category. This is a place where you get your money's worth. The burgers are delicious and juicy. I always get the Little Bacon Cheeseburger. The Bacon Cheeseburger is so huge that I cant finish it. The small order of fries is like a large order of fries. They fill the cup up with fries and its is a bag. When you get the bag there are just as many fries (if not more) in the bottom of the bag. A small order of fries can easily feed 3 people. Be sure to get the seasoned fries! They are awesome! read more

They do things well enough here. The burgers are better than a typical fast food burger, but with all the great burger places in Jackson, I can't say they are that special. I will say that the staff is friendly, seeing the clean cook area, and getting multiple toppings are nice touches. Having a nice stash of peanuts to occupy you while you wait, which can be a little while if you manage to hit a rush, is very handy. The Cajun seasoning on the fries (if you opt for it) has a good flavor. I recommend eating here, vs taking it home.
