To start I gave this whataburger an extra star because the food is amazing. HOWEVER! As a delivery driver this place is horrible to go to. I'm to the point of declining order opportunities that come from it. Which is a shame as it's literally 3 blocks from where I live which would make both a great starter location and ending location. These Two reasons are why I decline taking orders for This whataburger (note: I can't rate other ones. But I've heard the same for other ones as well) 1. Lack of Automation and pre orders being processed before hand . If I go to literally any other fast food chain. And even 99.9% of non fast food restaurants. Customer orders for food delivery are set up ahead of time. Instead Whataburger forces delivery drivers to manually place the orders this slows down the process drastically. When your lines are already long. I'm also unsure why they don't set up an account with delivery services. My last order I did accept ended up taking 48 minutes to get thru the line place the order. And then correct it constantly at the speaker and then again at the window. (Note: this location is drive thru only) This of coarse means that the order was late. As I'm not payed by the hour, this also means. I made practically nothing that last hour and it impacted my rating negatively for being late. 2. Partly covered in part one. The lines are horrible and slow. Please allow walk ins for carry out. Until you guys go automated. I don't see myself delivering for you, but as it stands now. I won't even go to this location for myself. And I enjoy whataburger. Your Patty Melt (add mushrooms) is amazing. But. I can get a table and eat at a sit down restaurant faster than it takes to get to your drive thru window. Sorry if this seems harsh. But it's accurate. This Whataburger is the best location out of the infinite locations we have visited! It wasn't just the food. Burgers are just as delicious and satisfying as any location. The fries were fresh and steaming hot. So yum! We devoured everything and glad we made the detour on our way to the airport. It's clean. BUT this location is rare and unique because we had the pleasure of meeting Lucille at the counter. She is the epitome of customer satisfaction with her warm and beautiful eyes to match her hidden smile behind her mask. She was patient and very helpful with our indecisive order. Instead of grabbing our food to go, we stayed and had a lovely chat with Lucille (felt like a visit to grandma's house). Don't do drive-thru. Go inside and say hello. It was my first time coming here after busy 4th of July firework show in Destin. The place was totally packed with people trying to avoid the awful traffic. I came here to find out if Whataburger was on the same level as ShakeShack and In and Out. I got the Whataburger and chicken tenders. First, I must the staff were incredibly hard workers and got my food out as quick as they could. The burger was super good and I would really recommend getting the thousand island dressing to put on it. The chicken tenders were also good, especially with the quick time it took to come out. Actually have no idea what the food is like, since we waited 40 minutes in the driveway and after only moving up 3 spots decided to leave.

After waiting an HOUR at what is supposed to be a 24 hour drive thru we were turned away and told they were closing early due to being short staffed. While I understand the struggle of the restaurant life right now having worked in one myself I don't understand letting people wait that long when you knew you were going to close early. The manager was unapologetic and didn't give a crap that everyone had wasted their time waiting in line. Truth be told I only waited because they were the only place open and I had no other options. Ever since we passed the Whataburger on the way to our hotel, I knew we'd have to make the drive to get some late at night. I was especially intrigued to try the honey butter chicken biscuit and I was not disappointed! It was the perfect mix of chicken tender, honey butter, and biscuit. I probably should've gotten 2 because it was pretty small but it was good overall. The inside was pretty dirty to be honest and there was only one cashier working. There was also a lot of people waiting for their food inside as well as people in the drive through. We probably waited about 20-25 minutes before we got our food. You can't expect much from a fast food place that's open 24 hours. But I would say it's definitely worth a try if you don't have a Whataburger in your area! read more

Really good. WAB is a new find for me & I've been to 1 that was fantastic & another that was an absolute dud, so I'm a bit trepidatious & still haven't made up my mind on overall product. But, this place served a triple cheeseburger that wasn't saturated in oil, much quicker than any of the other locations. I was in & out in about 7-min, when the others took 20-30. In fairness, the difference might also be that there was only 1 couple inside & 1 at the drive thru at 11am, when every other place I visited was very crowded inside & out. Fantastic staff, who deliver old fashioned customer service... attentive, friendly & they bring your order to you, even if it's a takeout. The burgers are quite pricey, but the further east I drive, the more expensive the food is... today's triple burger with 3 slices of cheese was $10.41... ouch! Okay, I was full 'til late afternoon, but still, that's a hefty burger price... no fries, no drink. Nice location on the corner... easy for tourists to find. Plenty of parking. One thing a bit confusing is they have an entrance & separate exit next to each other & the parking lot is one way traffic... don't drive in the wrong way, as I did. For tourists... they're open 24-hrs & serve breakfast from 11pm to 11am. My next visit will be to test out their b'kfast menu. 4* out of 5. -1* only as I only had 1 take-out burger & nothing else. I'd definitely visit again, but since the price is quite high, my visits will be less frequent. (Note: I was told today that if you respond to their online survey noted on your receipt, after 5 WAB visits, you get a free menu item. Good to know. Did an online order, finally went through on the 10th try, got to the drive thru. Got the window finally 20 mins after it was supposed to be ready. They were so confused!! They didn't know who I was, seemed confused by the sheer idea of an online order, had to take my phone showing the order and walk around their kitchen several minutes trying to figure it out. I finally get my drinks (wrong sizes even), pull forward as asked to wait on the food. Bags come out eventually, I really should have checked, not even the right order! Someone else's food entirely! More like Whatamess. As a child of the 70s and 80s, I grew up vacationing in Florida. One of the highlights of any trip down to the coast was a visit (or 7 visits) to Whataburger. It was the In N Out Burger of its time. Now, sadly, it's just another fast food restaurant. We chose this one for lunch one day while out shopping at Silver Sands. The only unique element about the entire experience was that you order at a counter just like at any fast food burger joint. But they give you a number and bring the food to your table. This was fine but then you're left wondering "do I tip for that?" when you're ready to leave. I'm fine hanging out at the counter and bringing my own food to the table. Otherwise, it was the same freezer-to-grill-to-table burger, the same fries which weren't crispy enough and tasted of old oil, and even the shake seemed sad.
