My mouth is drooling just writing this thinking about it The piccata had plenty of capers & lemon and the chicken was very tender We also got the Caesar salad in a large which could be shared with 3 people but we had only 2 eating and one toddler who ate all the croutons ha which meant our pastas came home with us but the salad was very fresh tasting and light. Wow! This place is amazing. We were on our way home and decided we wanted some pizza. I was looking on Yelp and decided on this gem. The decor is crisp and clean. The music accompanies the scene of the restaurant. We arrived at 11:45AM before the lunch crowd arrived. Krisztian was our everything! He greeted us, waited on us and took care of everyone else at the same time. No one was waiting on nothing. He gave us some great recommendations and we started with the garlic rolls. Man, these are some of the best garlic rolls I've ever had. They were hot, buttery and so light all at the same time. We then ordered the Gorgonzola pizza. It came with grilled chicken and onions with no sauce. We added pesto sauce and wow. The pizza was so delicious and had so much flavor. Krisztian then brought us out the best cheesecake I've ever had period! Everything about this dessert was screaming fresh and homemade. The crust was so buttery and the cheesecake had the right amount of sweetness. Also, they have happy hour 7 days a week!!!!! Their happy hour menu is outrageous and has something for everyone. I seriously love this place so much. I try whatever special they have for that day whenever I come in and have truly never been disappointed. This is one of the only places I love to really venture out and try new dishes because it always exceeds my expectations. From appetizers, to entree, soup and desserts... I love every single one of them. If you're wanting to try a unique craft drink, this is also a must go place. I most recently had the soup of the day (some sort of chicken and broth soup, perfect for the cold night), the Gnocchi Special, and the Mint Chocolate Martini. In addition to the delectable cuisine, the staff are always so wonderful. I recently had Krisztian take care of me while sitting at the bar. He was extremely attentive, but let me enjoy my food in peace. Politely checked on me and offered suggestions when asked, but didn't over-chat me even though the bar area was slow. Really loved my experience at Pazzo Italiano! We had a party of 7 and booked a reservation in advance for 7pm on a Friday night and they were ready to seat us when we arrived. The service was great! We had a super friendly waitress. We were there as a group for a bachelorette party and she gave the bride a free dessert which was so nice! We all got drinks, I really enjoyed the red wine I had. The table split the calamari and for my entree I had the Paccheri Della Mamma pasta. Everything was delicious!! The pasta was amazing and the calamari fresh. Excellent authentic Italian food. From pizzas to pasta this is a must restaurant when visiting Destin. There is plenty of parking being it is located in a plaza. The calamari was delicious and the bruschetta was some of the best I've had. You are given bread and dip upon sitting down and the olive oil was scrumptious with garlic and fresh herbs. The only thing I didn't care for was the cannoli we had for dessert. The cappuccino was super yummy and was offered in a nice size mug. Very nice change of palate from fried seafood by the beach. After seeing how good the reviews were, my husband and I were excited to try this place - however, we were sorely disappointed. I grew up in southern NY and love good Italian food, but this restaurant did not have it. My pasta dish was $27, and all it included was less than 10 pieces of rigatoni, a few cherry tomatoes, arugula, and three freezing cold pieces of mozzarella cheese slapped on top. My husband felt the same way about his dish. The only part of our meal that we enjoyed was the cannoli - everything else was mediocre at best. Passover Italiano is a very fine restaurant. I have a problem with one menu item. Calzone. I am a second generation Italian, both my parents parents were immigrants. I grew up in Brooklyn. I ordered a calzone, the plain one on the menu. When it came to the table it looked like pizza dough folded with some grated cheese and tomato sauce on top. Flat as could be. I don't think that the owner knows what a calzone is. There was some ham in it but no ricotta or mozzarellacheese in it. Pazzo's is evidently a chain restaurant. They serve some very excellent Italian food entrees. They need to learn what a calzone is. Not a fun entree placed in front of me. The proprietor was gracious and removed it from my bill. They should advise their customers of what they are ordering, if they expect a calzone with out ricotta and mozzarella cheese then go for it. read more

Because it's fresh in my mind I want to say a few things. My wife said it was the best eggplant parmesan she ever had. My daughter said her chicken marsala was delicious. I had a very mediocre plate of 6 ravioli, 2 stars barely. On the other side of the coin, it has to be an almost impossible task to satisfy 400 dining people a day with their meal needs. A family home with a great cook in the kitchen will not get 5 stars every day on every meal. I never ran a restaurant but ordering food, cooking it and presenting it well has to be a task along with managing the restaurant workers and paying the rent. That being said the people in the restaurant business take this task on themselves and are expected to perform. Their choice. I could list the negatives to the experience, but I don't want to go on and on. Here is a short tick list for the owners benefit mostly. We were seated in the secondary part of the restaurant where there were no patrons yet. The lights were low so my wife and I couldn't read the menu, I used the light from my cell phone to read it. I don't know if that offended the waitress, but they turned the lights even lower and the music louder. I'm 70 and couldn't read the small print. No problem, we live in a great country, so this is a first word problem. The waitress seemed nice but I'm not sure if she could speak English. There was virtually no communication. She had to ask another server what the specials were. OK, there are always new hires. We get it. But come on sir, train your people. Then, the owner, (apparently), was expecting a large party of 15 or so to come in, so he and 2 waiters and a waitress began to shuffle tables around directly behind us for 10 plus minutes and gee hawing with other about how the tables weren't level with each other. We weren't sure if they would ask to use the table we were sitting at. He never said, "sorry to bother you folks or how is the meal so far, or thanks for coming". We were the only patrons in the room. The ambiance and vibe in my opinion..... minus 2 stars. Then the final kicker, at the end of a $100 meal (3 people, no appetizers, no alcohol, 1 desert, 2 coffees), the waitress came up to us and mumbled how the owner has some kind of charity he's supporting and wanted to know if we wanted to buy some cookies to support it. Sure, no problem (lol), so we bought some cookies. Who am I to pass up some cookies? But to me, if the owner wants to support a charity, he should take a percentage of his daily sales and dedicate it to the charity of his choice. A restaurant is not a place to fund raise. That's my opinion. I don't see us going back and we're here for a month. All in all, it's good to be alive, another meal bites the dust and we'll see what happens on vacation today.
