Bosforo was great. We went early and had a very nice and quiet dinner. Food was delicious!

We were really looking forward to dining at Bosfolo and truly wanted to love the experience. We are usually very thoughtful about choosing restaurants and relied heavily on the positive reviews when deciding to come here, which made the experience especially disappointing. Unfortunately, from the start it felt a bit off. We were seated late at our table and never really received an official waiter. The person we believe was originally assigned to our table only appeared halfway through the meal and never introduced himself, which made the service feel disjointed. Even a brief check-in from a bartender or manager would have gone a long way in making our party feel acknowledged and welcome. This set an uncomfortable tone and we never fully felt settled during our visit. The food that followed was unfortunately not very satisfactory. The wine tasted more like grape juice, and the champagne we ordered was flat, which was disappointing. Given the price point, this made the overall experience feel underwhelming. We do not want to disparage a small business and hope this is taken as constructive feedback. We genuinely appreciate the cuisine and were excited to try the restaurant, which is why we wanted to share our experience in the hope it helps improve future visits. read more

This was a great experience. We came in during a busy Friday night rush and the service was still speedy! In and out very satisfied in 1 hour. I had the beef tips homemade pasta, which is on the specialty menu. It is worth the $42 price tag. The meat was cooked perfectly and the pasta was some of the best I've ever had. I would order this everyday of our vacation if I could. My husband also had great things to say about his chicken piccata. The restaurant had great ambiance with low lights above tables and also at each table. The bathrooms are the only part of the building that seem to be lacking. Ah man! I would've loved to have given this restaurant a higher rating, and based on the great customer service and ambiance, I could have, but my chicken piccata fell incredibly flat. The chicken was so dry and hard that it tasted like it had been pre-cooked and rewarmed in the oven entirely too long. I was terribly disappointed and had to send it back. BE WARNED- this is the part that really BLEW me. Their payment machine doesn't calculate tips properly. My tab came up to $70. I tipped $15... it said that equated to 15% (which is actually over 20% of $70). The total should've been $85, but it then rang up as $89! That is super shady!!!! If you don't check your tabs, don't know how to calculate percentages properly, or even if you're like me and don't want to complain about a $4 difference, they are essentially getting over on you! How many people does this happen to? Imagine if every customer was overcharged an average of $5?!?!?! But... let me back up to the appetizer. We got crab claws. Those were delicious ~ the butter/cheese sauce they came in was rich and robust. This aroused my excitement for the remaining dishes; however, I was terribly disappointed. My mother got the halloumi salad. It lacked flavor. My green beans, which accompanied the chicken, were barely cooked. Although seasoned well, they were hard to enjoy because the ends were still on, so I was left pulling strings of rough edges out of my mouth each time I finished eating one. For our last night in Miramar Beach we wanted to try a restaurant we've never been to, so we treated ourselves to Bosforo and so glad we did. When we walked in you don't feel like you're in a strip mall. The place is decorated nicely and the stemware they use is very sturdy and nice for a martini. Appetizers: we had the ceviche of the day which was shrimp and a beet salad. Their ceviche is not the traditional ceviche you expect. It was more of an olive oil base I believe , but it was so good. It was very fresh and came with plenty of crackers. I'm not a beet person , but my friend loved it. Dinner: I chose the shrimp and polenta and OMG!!! I could have licked the bowl clean, but I had restraint. I asked if this is a permanent item on the menu and it was. My friend has the scallops and pasta. Their pasta is homemade and the scallops were perfect golden brown. We were too full to have dessert but the espresso martini had before our meal would be a great treat. read more

Service here was great. Server and manager were very personable. This is a cool restaurant with a nice interior. The seating was very comfortable. I had the chicken piccata which was very good! I did sub the polenta for mash. It worked out well. My wife got a Ribeye here. This was underwhelming. We love a good steak, but this one missed the mark. It was cooked properly to MR, but the flavor and quality of the cut just weren't what we hoped for. Nonetheless, we will be back to try the other entrees, as the piccata was very good! You would not know that this restaurant is in a strip mall once you walk in. It's so elegantly decorated and upscale. I was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender, Nick, was great!!!!!! EVERYTHING I ordered was delicious, fresh and seasoned to perfection!!!! I wanted to kiss the chef. I went on a Saturday evening and was disappointed they were closed (Monday and Tuesday) the remainder of my stay. I would have eaten there again on Sunday had I known. Immediately greeted upon entering and seated pretty quickly. My group had gotten there shortly after they opened. Inside was nice and quiet. Well lit and the tables weren't cramped either. They had these cute little table lamps for extra ambiance and lighting. The appetizers came out pretty quickly. Personal opinion, I preferred the steak tartare over the crab claws. They were both delicious but I thought the crab claws sauce it was in was slightly too salty for me. The bread did help cut saltiness. Prior to coming, the biggest food items we were looking towards was the red snapper and the lamb shank. Other Yelp reviews highlighted them as the best you can get. At first, we were disappointed that the red snapper was no longer on the specials and so had ordered the whole Branzino instead. Our waiter (Norm?) came out and surprised us by letting us know they had one red snapper left and we were able to get it. The lamb shank was as great as everyone else had reviewed it. Super tender and practically falls off the bone. The other parts of the dish helped with the flavor contrast. The red snapper was super light and crispy. The fish meat was juicy and cooked well. I personally like capers and enjoyed it with the fish. (My friends weren't as much fans on the capers). Our waiter did check on us every now and then. My friends and I spent a lot of time catching up and chatting. The waiter came by to make sure our waters were topped off, but overall let us have privacy to chat, Excellent dinner choice. read more

Fantastic dining experience in Destin. Cozy bar area with knowledgeable and engaged staff; Nick, Brad, & Norm made sure our glasses stayed full and had fantastic suggestions for the food. Shared the stuffed dates, roasted beet salad, and lamb shank with my wife for a date night and loved all of it. Extensive bourbon selection, which we both took advantage of. It's ok. The ambiance was cool but the bathrooms were not clean. The menu is priced like a fine dining restaurant, but the concept lacked proper execution. It was just a few steps down from excellent and the staff were not particularly vigilant in their hosting. The more were some notable insufficiencies in the dishes that did not make culinary sense, such as an unwarranted balsamic glaze on the dates, a skin up plating of the salmon, and an olive pit in the bread. read more

One of the top 3 restaurants in Destin and Miramar Beach, and worth driving from 30A as well. Great new addition for 2024. Best lamb chops and lamb shank in the area. Whole grilled fish, steak; traditional Middle Eastern tapas like hummus, baba ghanoush; and some Italian foods like polenta and arancini. One of the co-owners is an advanced sommelier, maybe the highest certified somms in the area, and the wine and cocktail scene shows it. Have eaten their a half dozen times, and service is usually prompt. The ambience is a bit European chic with some low key EDM playing in the backgroun. They opened an heated outdoor bar recently that I haven't tried yet. Love this place. Was seated right away due to not many patrons at 5:00. Norm waited on us and was very cordial and kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. We ordered appetizer of hummus which was slightly spicy. The entree was a 2# snapper for 2 which was baked perfectly. Side order was risotto and green beans. The decor was pleasant, ambience romantic and quiet. Norm offered us dessert but we were full. If anybody gives this place, less than five stars, they are lying. This place is phenomenal. I have never tasted seafood, so fresh, so well, seasoned, and so well prepared. The scallops on the pasta were to die for perfectly cooked a little bit of crisp on top , juicy, flavorful. They had my favorite pepper, pappardelle noodles, and a hint of truffle shavings on top of the pasta. This was absolutely the most phenomenal pasta I've ever tasted. They do change their pasta out regularly, they have the path of the day. Hopefully you're able to try them on I tried if not, I'm sure any would be great. We also got the salmon dish which is on their actual menu and that was by far to die for. The cream sauce that they put on the top was great. The fillet of salmon was perfectly crisp on top and juicy in the middle. There was absolutely no complaints here. The roasted beet salad was incredible. Kayden is incredibly helpful as server. Lamb shank and whole red snapper to die for.

Originally they weren't open so we waited a few hours to try this place, and when I say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! This place is *chefs kiss*! Kyle, the mixologist/ waiter was outstanding in service, knowledge, and witty humor. The owner was also there seating people, walking around interacting with guests, and even checking on how things were going. Everything we ordered from the drinks, appetizer, and main course were spectacular. The strawberry lemonade and the watermelon margarita were both curated to perfection; not too sweet and strong enough to enjoy. The crab claws appetizer was a combination I never knew I needed. For the main course, I had the Lamb Shank with polenta - amazing!! My husband had the salmon with herbed risotto- topped with the lump crab beurre blan, which was cooked to perfection. What a GREAT find! I have wanted to try this restaurant for a year, but just never got there, now I am kicking myself that I let a year pass. I loved everything about it. The food (you must try the dates), the atmosphere (the wicker hanging "jellyfish" lights are a feast for the eyes), even the serving plates are top notch.
