Nice spot, but the kitchen needs to take allergies seriously Camille's has charm to spare -- great location, solid tacos, and the cinnamon roll is a nice touch. On a good day this is a four-star experience easy. But here's the problem: I requested no avocado due to an allergy, and instead of remaking the dish, the cook simply wiped it off and sent it out. That's not a fix -- that's lazy and potentially dangerous. And with a 20-minute line, sending it back for a proper remake wasn't realistic. You're stuck eating around the problem or going hungry. Restaurants that cut corners on allergy requests don't get a pass because the vibe is nice. The food itself is enjoyable when it comes out right, and the setting is hard to beat on the Emerald Coast. Overall a gem of a place! Location and breadth of the menu were delightful. We came back several times throughout a two week visit, and tried a lot of items. Coffee was almost always amazing - only watch out is the iced cookie latte that was their specialty. Maybe it would've been fine hot but the drink was terrible because there was a layer of what I assume to be syrup at the bottom of the cup which simply wouldn't mix, and a bunch of coconut flakes throughout the drink which made the texture odd. The food was hit or miss, sandwich was bland but salad was good. Pizza was tasty but extremely greasy. Overall, once we got the hang of what to order we loved visiting and enjoying the atmosphere. Really appreciate them being open longer hours than other spots as well. Love music was really fun too. Will return! read more

Coffee is very good. I got the beehive & vanilla latte (with whole milk) and it was very good. My boyfriend got to dirty chai and neither of us liked it. It was not sweet at all. That would have been enough but our server also tossed my dinner while I was speaking with my son, she said she thought I was done? Thought I was done? You didn't ask so how exactly did you come to that conclusion? Again I will say our service was lacking, so we were going to tip 25 to 28% because of the errors. But once she showed up with the bill, there's a mandatory 20% put on every bill for gratuity! 20% is far and above anything I would've given her! Love, love, love this place. It was super crowded the first night, Saturday, so we stood in the bar. The bar tender was really friendly and talkative even though she was super busy. We ended up waiting about 30 minutes. The fresh fish was amazing. I had swordfish and my wife had Gulf shrimp. Swordfish was cooked perfectly. We went back on Monday and it was much less crowded. We got sushi. It was not quite as amazing as the fresh catches hut still very good. The staff was so friendly and really prompt with everything. Brunch was yummy but dinner was mid. Server was inattentive, risotto was undercooked, food came out cold.

The food was really good but service was lacking. I put in a large takeout order early in the day for 5 pm and arrived to the restaurant promptly at 5 and the staff seemed so confused that I was there to pick up an order because they had "just opened" for dinner service. They are open all day for breakfast and lunch up until 5 so I know that wasn't true. TIP FOR MANAGEMENT: don't put a 5 pm pick up time for a takeout order if your staff can't accommodate it. We left with our food at 5:30 which was okay but gave us less time to enjoy the sunset on the beach with our party. The staff I talked to were also really rude and literally rolled their eyes at me and went "yeah we just opened so it'll be 20-30 minutes." The only person that was friendly was the bartender! Marketing is also a little misleading as this place isn't directly on the beach but it is close and you can see the ocean, I was just imagining more of a direct beach access. All in all good food but manage your expectations on the friendliness and timeliness of the service. read more

The drinks and food were great -- everyone enjoyed their meals -- but our waiter forgot to put in our four appetizer orders. He admitted it was his mistake, but the appetizers didn't arrive until we were completely finished with our entrees. When we politely explained that we didn't feel comfortable paying for them at that point, he abruptly snatched the plates away and told us we were "done eating." Cute cafe suggested by the owner of the Airbnb we stayed in. My husband and I got up early for sunrise on the beach. The cafe is right across the street. Not a lot of seating. A few tables outside great for people watching. We arrived around 7:30 and was able to order right away. But by 8 there was a nice long line that had formed. Quick service though. Most folks walked or rode bikes there. I had a delicious hot chocolate with a banana nut muffin and my husband had a breakfast taco with egg, cheese and avocado as well as hot tea. We arrived at 615 and were the first on the waitlist and quoted 10-20 min. After 30min we asked when we would be seated and were told another 10-15. We then decided to pivot and order pizzas to go. The pizza was pathetic. We were told they would be 16" pizzas but they were at best a 10". The crust was so flat/thin and was super chewy. After checking into our Airbnb we took a walk in search for lunch nearby. We first stopped at a seafood restaurant where nearly everything seemed fried and heavy. Because we were looking for lunch we opted to search for another restaurant and after checking out the menu online decided to eat here. I enjoyed the inside/outside seating that allowed us to people watch facing the beach. The menu was vast even for me being a pescatarian. What a great choice we made! The food was made to order and they also have a lot of menu items that are made daily...so when they run out that's it! I made a great choice with ordering the fish tacos as they were fresh and my food was hot when it came out. Ordering tater tots seems simple, but they were delicious and seasoned well. Again the variety was good! They also had smoothies, fresh tea, and alcoholic beverages. A couple of people in my party had a smoothie and tea and said they enjoyed them.
