My family and I were on vacation this past weekend. We wanted to order pizza for the kids and support a local venue. We orderee delivery which started off with a great vibe. The driver was communicating actively even letting me know traffic piled up and causing slow downs. He also let me know when he was 5 minutes out so I'd be ready. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and cheese since most of the kids wanted the norm. My god these were great. I'm kicking myself for not ordering the meatlovers because the other two were so good. The crust was airy but crispy, the pepperoni was hearty, the sauce had love in it. I would recommend ordering your pizza from here if you are in the area. Merlin's is the real deal. We stumbled in around 9:30 PM and were instantly impressed. These guys are back there grating fresh cheese, and you taste the difference. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was incredible (the little swirlizer was a hit) and the Combo had the kind of cheese pull that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. We missed out on the bone-in wings since they were sold out by the time we arrived (understandable for that hour), so that's on us. But honestly? The pizza alone earns every star. We were here on a spring break trip with our family and placed a pretty large order, around $180. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being really frustrating. The biggest issue was the wait and the lack of communication. We had no way to track the order or get an estimated time, and every time we tried calling for an update, we were put on hold for over 20 minutes. At one point, my sister and I even called separately and neither of us was able to get through to anyone. When the order finally arrived, the food was cold, which was really disappointing after waiting so long. They had also forgotten our drinks, which we paid about $12 for. Overall, between the long wait, no communication, and missing items, it just was not a great experience. Tried Merlin's again on a recent trip and followed my own advice. Got thin crust pizzas this time instead of thick, and we liked it better. We had 9 people, mostly adults, and we got 2 xl thin and 1 small thick and it was JUST enough. No leftovers. I almost screwed up because thin isn't as filling as thick but we did ok. We ordered in the restaurant and got a 30 min wait time. Browsed around Alvin's Island while we waited. Wait was just a tad longer. I know this may be blasphemous because this is a single location pizza place but the sauce and flavor kind of remind me of Domino's. I really like Domino's so this is a compliment. It's kind of spicy. Will go again and order thin, and maybe a little extra. read more

Oh pizza! This qualifies as a whole in the wall kinda place. Or a hidden gem! Their pizzas are thick crust but well done. The taste is amazing and original. They have one big table that can accommodate eight people, 3 small booths and 3 larger booths. A lot of people came to pick up food while we were there. Service was great! I have to eat a low fodmap diet and I found out about this gluten free pizza and had to try. When we called the store to ask about it, they said the website gets overloaded and to keep trying it and that was quite frustrating, but we have had the pizza before and were willing to keep trying because the pizza is that good. We stopped in Merlin's while in the area on vacation. It was around 6pm, so getting to be dinner rush. We luckily were able to get one of the last open tables in the small space. We had a wonderful server. We shared garlic butter cheese bread which came with marinara. It was incredible. We each got small 10" pizzas as we wanted to try other flavors/share. We got the 7 cheese white pizza, the Main Street smoker which came with a garlic sauce swiralalizer, and the caprese which came with a balsamic glaze swirlalizer. For the white pizza and the Main Street pizza we ordered them on hand tossed crust. For the caprese we ordered it on the thin crust. We all agreed the thin crust was the way to go because the hand tossed is very thick, but it was still delicious. The service was great, the food was even better. read more
