This place is just delicious. Server was super friendly and helpful. The meatball was fantastic- so much cheese, homemade marinara, and the meatball was cooked perfectly. With the two of us we shared a meatball and a medium pizza. We took two pieces home. SO DELICIOUS. The place is small and you'll probably have to wait a few minutes- so many carry out orders!!!! Perfect spot to grab dinner on vacation or a Thursday night. read more

Absolutely LOVE Merlin's pizza! We found them several years ago on a beach trip and now they are a staple on our list of must visit places when we are in the area. We LOVE their thin crust and always order a pizza that has one of their drizzles! I always get the southern sweet heat and substitute the ham for pepperoni! I cannot tell you how awesome it is! Combination of sweet chili sauce, Alfredo and cream cheese with yummy meats and jalapeños and then top it with a sweet honey drizzle...absolute PERFECTION! Love it! Hubby ordered a ranch chicken club pizza with a creamy garlic drizzle and he loved it as well!We drive from Miramar, 20 minutes away every time we are in the area. It's worth the 40 minutes round trip! Definitely give them a try if you are in the area! read more

The absolute best pizza in Destin! If you're looking for something quick, delicious, and not your typical chain restaurant, this is the spot. After a day at Crab Island, it's always our go-to. We usually order our pizza to go since our group is often large and the indoor space is limited. We enjoy sitting outside while we wait--it's part of the experience. Customer service has always been solid, even though it's a very popular place and consistently packed. They do a great job keeping things moving! read more

Great pizzas and wings. We had cheese pizza and 7 cheese pizza. Delicious. Left us wanting more. $$$. Spring break Busy-ness. We ordered to go. Staff is very friendly. Cute art. read more

My family and I were on vacation this past weekend. We wanted to order pizza for the kids and support a local venue. We orderee delivery which started off with a great vibe. The driver was communicating actively even letting me know traffic piled up and causing slow downs. He also let me know when he was 5 minutes out so I'd be ready. We ordered the pepperoni pizza and cheese since most of the kids wanted the norm. My god these were great. I'm kicking myself for not ordering the meatlovers because the other two were so good. The crust was airy but crispy, the pepperoni was hearty, the sauce had love in it. I would recommend ordering your pizza from here if you are in the area. If only they could deliver to texas this would be my go to spot. P. S. I wasnt able to take pictures because by the time I was able to come back there was a slice of each left. Happy kids who are typically picky if that tells you anything. read more

We had our pizza delivered DoorDash. It came quickly and it was hot. The pizza was really good. I like the hand toss crust, as it is crispy on the bottom. Plentiful toppings of sausage, green pepper, red onion, and mushrooms. We all enjoy here a lot. Would definitely get another pizza from the establishment. read more

When you take a bunch of kids to the beach Merlin's is a life saver. They make great pizza too! We got thin crust and hand tossed pepperoni and thought the thin crust was the best. I got quick and easy takeout from here twice on a four day trip and would do it again. You can order online and then go pick it up. read more

We were here on a spring break trip with our family and placed a pretty large order, around $180. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being really frustrating. The biggest issue was the wait and the lack of communication. We had no way to track the order or get an estimated time, and every time we tried calling for an update, we were put on hold for over 20 minutes. At one point, my sister and I even called separately and neither of us was able to get through to anyone. When the order finally arrived, the food was cold, which was really disappointing after waiting so long. They had also forgotten our drinks, which we paid about $12 for. Overall, between the long wait, no communication, and missing items, it just was not a great experience. With better communication and more attention to order accuracy, it could have been a lot better. read more

Oh pizza! This qualifies as a whole in the wall kinda place. Or a hidden gem! Their pizzas are thick crust but well done. The taste is amazing and original. They have one big table that can accommodate eight people, 3 small booths and 3 larger booths. A lot of people came to pick up food while we were there. Service was great! We had a party of 11 and everything came in a timely manner but most importantly it was correct. I will totally visit again. read more

My favorite pizza place in Destin Florida!!! Every time I travel to Destin, I order Merlin's pizza (usually 3-4 times). I love the flavor of the sauce and pizza is always cooked just how I like it. I switch between thin crust and hand tossed, and they are both equally delicious! I've introduced quite a few people to this quaint little joint and they are now regulars. I've never dined-in but when I do carry out the place is always packed. 5 stars for Merlin's! read more

We had it delivered. So, sorry no ambiance...... a friend of my wife recommended this place. And we were not disappointed. Our family loves a good pizza and we were not disappointed. We ordered the cheese bread, pepperoni. And a sausage pizza. 5 stars to each. Crust was good, cheese had a great flavor, and the sauce was great. Like I said it was delivery, but the lady who delivered was quick with the pie and friendly. Overall will eat / order again. If you're in town and not wanting to break the bank give Merlin's a try! read more

Merlin's is the real deal. We stumbled in around 9:30 PM and were instantly impressed. These guys are back there grating fresh cheese, and you taste the difference. The Buffalo Chicken pizza was incredible (the little swirlizer was a hit) and the Combo had the kind of cheese pull that makes you stop mid-bite just to appreciate it. We missed out on the bone-in wings since they were sold out by the time we arrived (understandable for that hour), so that's on us. But honestly? The pizza alone earns every star. Top-notch ingredients, great execution. Don't sleep on this place. read more

We loved every part of our meal. The cheese bread and wings were a great started. We orders three pizzas across the five of us. They were each amazing. We enjoyed the leftovers the next day just as much. Our waiter was a blast also. The place was packed the entire time we were there. The wait is worth it! read more

YUM! Is what you will be saying out loud. The Garlic Shrimp with Toasted Parmesan Pizza was amazing. Our waiter was patient as we looked at the menu and he told us the pizzas on the left side were good but house specialties were even better. We are so glad he told us that. When we got back to TN we told a friend who was headed to Fort Walton and she liked the Garlic Shrimp with Toasted Parmesan Pizza as well as we did. read more

5 stars this is literally the best pizza I have tasted in my life best staff ever I had the best service ever

Great pizza that came super fast via door dash. It was still very hot! We had 3 different types and they were all delicious.

By far, the best pizza and wings that we have tried in Florida. Merlin's will be a staple for us when we visit Destin.

Absolutely the best pizza in Destin! I cannot wait to go to Destin just for THIS pizza! So good!

Tried Merlin's again on a recent trip and followed my own advice. Got thin crust pizzas this time instead of thick, and we liked it better. We had 9 people, mostly adults, and we got 2 xl thin and 1 small thick and it was JUST enough. No leftovers. I almost screwed up because thin isn't as filling as thick but we did ok. We ordered in the restaurant and got a 30 min wait time. Browsed around Alvin's Island while we waited. Wait was just a tad longer. I know this may be blasphemous because this is a single location pizza place but the sauce and flavor kind of remind me of Domino's. I really like Domino's so this is a compliment. It's kind of spicy. Will go again and order thin, and maybe a little extra. read more

Okay, so I wouldn't normally just order a whole meatball to eat, BUT I DID & IT WAS SO GOOD. We got a salad (shareable size), the meatball (now a must every time I visit the area), a pizza (so so good) and the garlic cheese bread which I would eat every single day if I could. Altogether it was an amazing experience. It's a very small dining area so if you plan to eat there, go a lil early and maybe expect a wait. Worth the wait though FOR SURE. read more

Tasty pizza not far from the sandy beaches of Destin! Sit inside, or carry it out to the shores and enjoy a slice!

We stopped in Merlin's while in the area on vacation. It was around 6pm, so getting to be dinner rush. We luckily were able to get one of the last open tables in the small space. We had a wonderful server. We shared garlic butter cheese bread which came with marinara. It was incredible. We each got small 10" pizzas as we wanted to try other flavors/share. We got the 7 cheese white pizza, the Main Street smoker which came with a garlic sauce swiralalizer, and the caprese which came with a balsamic glaze swirlalizer. For the white pizza and the Main Street pizza we ordered them on hand tossed crust. For the caprese we ordered it on the thin crust. We all agreed the thin crust was the way to go because the hand tossed is very thick, but it was still delicious. The service was great, the food was even better. read more

Loved loved Merlins! We ordered Pepperoni Pizza, Cheesy Bread, and Sweet Chili Wings! Everything was delicious! The pizza sauce tasted homemade and wasn't sweet which was great! The dough for both the pizza and the bread was so airy and so delicious! The wings were crispy and full of sauce! We called in our order and it was ready when we arrived about 20 min later! The staff was friendly both during ordering and pick up! We will definitely order Merlin's again on our next visit! read more

I have to eat a low fodmap diet and I found out about this gluten free pizza and had to try. It didn't hurt my stomach at all and it was the best pizza I've had that tastes just like pizza with gluten in it. I got the 7 cheese. Omg it was SO good. I'm sad because I don't have one closer to me. I would get it all the time. Guess I'll have to visit Destin again! They also were right on time with the time they gave for pick up. Really fast for how busy they were. read more

Merlin's Pizza is supposedly a sort-of Destin staple of sorts. Our family members recommend it for us to try when visiting. We ordered a Medium Pepperoni Pizza (Thin Crust) for delivery. We were pretty disappointed that it took about 45 minutes to get our pizza, but the driver seemed to have a lot of orders. I would say the pizza was good, but not amazing. The thin crust was great, but the sauce was oddly sweet and the pepperoni were super spicy. I definitely wouldn't seek this place out again, but it wasn't the worst pizza I've ever tried. read more
